Elston gasped as he was released. He laid on the ground, his chest rising up and down with heavy pants. Not daring to move, as Nathan backed away.

Nathan moved away from Elston, taking all, but three steps before falling to the ground from exhaustion. 'Matt take him inside. Make sure the pack medic attends to him.'

Alex was by his side in seconds, running her fingers through his fur soothing him down. She watched as Matt picked Elston up and took him back into the cabin. She wanted to go to him. Make sure he wasn't too badly hurt. But, had she run to him instead of Nathan, he would have been killed. Nathan still saw him as a threat and will continue to until they were mated. He was risking a lot, by letting him live. She didn't want to jeopardize Elston any more.

'Told you I would be fine.'

Alex rolled her eyes. "Says the bloody wolf." As her hand ran down from his neck to his side, she felt a moist feeling. Pulling her hand away, she cringed at the dark red blood dripping from her finger. "You're still bleeding a lot." Laying his head on her lap, she conducted a quick check of his body. He had a large gash on his neck, bites and scratches on his belly and side. The second largest one was on his abdomen. Most likely from where Elston kicked him off. "We need to get you home so I can clean you up."

'Can you grab my clothes please.' Nathan shook himself, attempting to remove the most blood and grime he could. Of course he just ended up hurting himself.

"Can you not do that!" Alex growled, grabbing his clothes from the ground. "You will just end up hurting yourself even more!"

Nathan bit back his chuckle. "Of course love, although I really need a shower."

Alex couldn't believe this man. Not 5 minutes ago, he was tearing the neck of another wolf. Now he was wanting a shower. "You men are relentless." She patted his blazer pockets, frowning at not finding what she needed. "Car keys?"

'I left them in my car. It's just at the end of the driveway.'

Alex walked beside him, keeping a slow pace. He tried to play it off, but Elston had done some damaged. Reaching the car, she opened the back door for him. Once he was settled in, Alex climbed into the driver side. The entire ride Nathan slept, most likely trying to regain the energy he lost.

Humans have the wrong idea when it came to our 'powers'. Yes we were stronger than a human. Our sight, scene of smell and taste were sharper. We were faster and had higher stamina. We felt thing on a higher level, both emotionally and physically. We were weaken by two things only, electricity and wolfs bane. As for the healing? Yes we did heal at a much faster rate, depending on the extent of the damage and what caused it. Nathan's was done by another wolf, so he should be healed by tomorrow morning. Had it been wolfsbane he'd be out for at least a week, if it didn't get into his heart first. But we were like everyone else, we got tired. We got hurt. We bleed.

Arriving at his place, she was surprised to see someone standing on the steps. He was tall, ruggedly good looking with black hair. "Who are you?" Alex made sure to stand by Nathan's door. She wasn't about to let anyone harm him anymore. "Answer me!"

The man laughed. "Not yet mated and already protective." He took a few steps, only to stop at the warning growl he got. He raised his hands, showing the mad she-wolf he wasn't a treat. He really wasn't in the mood of getting mauled today. "It's me ty."

Alex stopped, tilting her head to the side. "Ty?"

"Yeah, the one you saved from the bullet." He slowly dropped his hands, feeling he was no longer in danger.

Alex exhaled in relief. "Sorry, I didn't recognize you." Opening the back door, she carefully pulled Nathan out. "What to give me hand?" Ty took over laughing, walking Nathan into the house. Ty placed him on the bed, before walking out. Alex got busy with cleaning out the wounds. At one point she pulled out a claw from his side. Making sure the wounds were already beginning their healing process, she covered them in aloe leaves. It would help with the pain. Tossing the bloody clothes to the trash, she closed his curtains and placed a cup of water by the bed. Giving him one last check over, she walked out of the room, letting him get rest he needed. Walking into the living room, she found Ty scrolling through his phone. "He's already healing and sleeping."

"Good, he will be like new by morning." Ty tossed his phone to the side, placing one leg on top of the other. His left arm stretched over the header of the couch, a sly grin on his face. "So you're our new alpha female. I always knew something was special about you."

"Special?" Alex gave him a pointed look. "May I remind you, you tried ripping my throat out when we first met."

"I was startled." Ty laughed. "And I meant special, because no other wolf that has met Nathan, would voluntarily want to see him again. The simple fact that you stuck around was outstanding. Females are scared of him."

Alex remembered Matt's words. "Matt mentioned that everyone was informed of our mating."

"Yes. I do apologize for that. Nathan's sister just couldn't keep her mouth shut." Ty growled. "I am telling you this now, so when you hear about it, you won't be too shock."

Finishing a sentence like that, was never good. "What would be so shocking?"

"Nathan comes from the first three families." Ty began, stopping Alex from interrupting. "The first families were the first of our kind. Nathan is the descendant of Henry Stark, the first of the three to turn."

"I know the story of our creations. Three men, Henry Stark, David Hotchner and Fahad Lavine were warriors. Protecting their town from blood suckers. After a long battle, they were near death and in need of a blood transfer. They had no choice, but to be given the blood of wolf. Unfortunately, the wolf they killed had been the familiar of a witch. The men were cursed to become the one they killed. Passing it onto their generations to come." Alex had heard that story all her life. From those three men the rest of us were born. Back then men didn't care who they fucked and not knowing they could pass it on. Woman began giving birth to werewolves, who then created more. "So, Nathan is from the pure lines."

Ty nodded, grabbing the cup of gin in front of him. "That's why many fear him. Besides Hotchner and Eyal, seeing those two are from the other two lines."

"Just my luck. And to make matters even better, my teammate is dating Eyal." Running a hand through her hair, she gave him a 'and' look. "What's that got to do with his sister?"

"Well, she believed Nathan would have picked her as his mate." Ty said it in the most casual way ever.

Alex raised a brow. "W-what? She's his sister though."

"Half-sister." Nathan appeared at threshold of the living room entrance freshly showered. Leaning his shoulder against the beam of the frame. He stood shirtless wearing nothing, but a pair of jeans. Which hung just below his hips, giving her a clear view of the 'v'. His chest shimmered from the water still on his body. Alex swallowed hard, her mouth feeling like the Sahara Desert. Nathan stalked towards her, a sly smirk on his lips. Taking a seat beside her, Nathan leaned closer grazing the shell of her ear. "Enjoying the view?"

Alex knew she had to be as red as a tomato. Looking away from him, she focused on Ty. Who in return was ignoring them with his phone. "So half sister?"

Nathan chuckled, clearly enjoying the reaction he was getting from her. "Yes, mother remarried after my father and her divorced. She found her mate, my sister's father. They had agreed that by the time I hit 18, she and I would mate. Needless to say, I refused and left. Only came back after the death of my father and took over the pack."

"And I thought my family was wacky." Alex mumbled, yelping at the light nip he gave her shoulder. "No biting!"

Nathan gave a low growl. "I plan on doing a lot more than biting."

Before either could continue, Ty cleared his throat. "Well, I just came to check up on you. I will be leaving now." Giving them both a small bow, he ran out of the house. The moment he stepped outside; he took a deep breath. The smell in that house was driving him up the wall. Between Alex in heat and Nathan not controlling his clearly excitement, Ty was suffocating. "Those two need to screw and get it over with already."

Alex was suddenly very aware she was alone with Nathan. A shirtless Nathan. Wet and shirtless Nathan. 'Fuck.'

Nathan chuckled. "Relax love. You gave Matt your word to wait till the last day." Leaning closer, he nuzzled into her neck. "And I won't be the one to make you break that promise. No matter how much I want to."

Alex bit her lower lip, stopping the moan threatening to slip out. His hot breath sending shivers down her spine. The moment his lips kissed her mark, Alex felt an emotion she never felt before. A fire rose from the tip of her toes to her head. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she threw her head back howling into the night. Nathan continued his sweet assault, trailing back up across her jaw and onto her mouth. The kiss was a promise of what was to come. A small taste. Alex pulled back, her lungs desperately reaching for the air.

"Wow, what was that?" She had never felt such intensity. The second he touched her mark, she was lost to the world.

Nathan pulled her into his arms, laying her head his chest. "You accepting the claim. Had you not, you would have felt a different kind of burn."

"So it's official?" Alex whispered. She couldn't help, but feel bad in a way. She never even gave Gibbs a chance to fight for her.

"The claim is official." Nathan broke her train of thoughts. "No wolf would be stupid enough to challenge me. It's no use." He sensed her emotions, she was upset. "Alex, I know you're upset about Gibbs, but keep in mind that you are not betraying him. For reason not known, you and him were just not meant. Not now at least."

"I know." She snuggled closer to him, her arm wrapping around his abdomen. "I just hope when he finds out, it won't break him."

Nathan wouldn't ever mention it, but he felt a ping of jealousy in him. The simple fact that she thought about him, was enough to make the animal in him angry. Nathan wasn't the kind of man that liked to share what was his, but in the end he knew he must. If it meant he can have her like this, in his arms and safe, he would put up with anything. Looking down, he chuckled. She was asleep, snoring softly. Kissing her gently on the head, he laid his head back.

"I can't wait to make you fully mine." He whispered, pushing her hair back gently from her face. "To love you. Spoil you and our future family. I love you Alex. Always."

Gibbs:

Gibbs frowned at the aching pain in his chest. Waving it off, he grabbed his beer. The moment he straightened up, the ache became a searing pain. The bottle dropped onto the floor, breaking in contact. Clenching his chest, Gibbs fought to take in air. He continued to do so, until it slowly began to ease away. Walking over to the sink, he turned the faucet on and splashed the cold water on his face.

"What the hell was that?"
