SmackDown: 11/11/2005
SmackDown was live at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. In the arena, Edge's theme hits and he comes out with Lita for his Street Fight with the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista. Edge had been exiled to SmackDown until he 'got the job done' as Etic Bischoff had put it.
Edge enters the ring and Batista's theme hits next and the World Heavyweight Champion comes out to a pop from the SmackDown fans. Batista makes his way down to the ring with his eyes on Edge. Tonight would definitely be SmackDown vs RAW with these two superstars going one on one with each other.
Batista slides into the ring and Edge and Lita quickly get out and stand halfway on the walkway. Edge then smirks and gestures to the Titantron where SmackDown GM Teddy long is shown trying to get Eric Bischoff out of the arena when he is assaulted by RAW superstars, leading to JBL, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio, and Bobby lashley making the save but the RAW superstars got into Bischoff's limo and drove off. The SmackDown stars got into JBL's limo and went after the RAW superstars.
Back at ringside, Edge smirked at Batista who shakes his head and gestures for Edge to get into the ring. Edge held up a finger ebfore he pointed at the stage and gestures for someone to come out.
The stage explodes and Kane's theme hits. "What the hell is this?" Tazz said.
"It can't be." Cole shook his head before seeing Kane come out. "Oh my God, it is! It's Kane!"
"Oh no." Tazz said. "Cole what the hell's going on?"
"Kane is marching down tot he ring." Cole said.
"it was a damn set up. Cole! We've been set up!" Tazz shouts in anger.
"You are right, it's a damn set up! Look at Edge laughing about it!" Cole pointed out, seeing Edge and Lita laughing.
Kane's theme stands down as the Big Red Machine stares down the World Heavyweight Champion.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The lights go out for a few seconds and when another wolf howl goes off, the lights come on...AND THE BLADEWOLF IS IN THE RING!
"Oh my God! It's the Bladewolf!" Cole shouted as Bladewolf was standing behind Batista. "The World Tag Team Champions from RAW are here! Batista has been set up!"
Batista turns and comes face to face with the Bladewolf, the crowd cheering as the two went eye to eye before Batista swung first and nailed a right, causing Bladewolf to stumble back before he tackles Batista into the corner but the World Champion reverses it and hammers away as Kane comes in from behind but Batista fights him off.
Bladewolf strikes Batista from behind and the Brothers of Destruction start using the numbers game to their advantage as they beat down Batista before Kane gives a big boot to Batista. Bladewolf sends Batista into the corner hard and Kane hits a turnbuckle clothesline, then Bladewolf runs up and hits a clothesline himself.
Funaki runs down to the ring, slides in only to be grabbed by Bladewolf, lifted up...AND PLANTED WITH A CHOKESLAM!
Scotty 2 Hotty runs out but Kane gives him a big boot when he's on the apron. Brian Kendrick runs down, slides into the ring but the brothers pick him up and toss him right out the ring hard. Paul London runs out next but the Brothers of Destruction hit a double big boot that floors London.
The next person to run out is Hardcore Holly but Bladewolf scoops him up...AND HITS THE FURY OF THE WOLF! Another superstar comes out but Kane drives his head into the steel ring post which knocks him out.
Road Warrior Animal runs out but is grabbed by both brothers, lifted up...AND PLANTED WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
The brothers then turn their attention to Batista and walk over. They grab him and pull him to his feet before lifting him up...AND PLANT THE WORLD CHAMPION WITH A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM!
The two RAW stars look down at Batista as Edge come sin and demands Kane to do his pyro thing but backs off when Kane takes a step towards him. Bladewolf then raises his arms before throwing them down, causing lightning to strike to turnbuckles and fire shoot sup afterwards as Bladewolf's theme plays.
SmackDown went off the air with RAW standing tall...
I really, really loved the 2005 SmackDown vs RAW feud. It was awesome and had some great brawls between SmackDown and RAW. Sorry this chapter was short, but the site I use to look at results didn't offer much for this episode of SmackDown.
