Hope you enjoy this chapter sorry for the delay but I definitely got too caught up in watching tv over writing plus I hit a snag in what I wanted to happen near the end of the chapter. smh I hope you enjoy.
Jane was on her third cup of coffee, she wanted to stay alert at the hospital to make sure he didn't find a way to slip in. Frankie called her a while ago and told her that Johnny was not at his apartment so Jane told him to give it a rest for the evening. It was pretty late. Maura had left with the twins hours ago and Jane really preferred to be with them right now, sleeping in her own bed. She wondered if Maura had been getting any sleep, Jane knew it was two in the morning but she wanted someone to talk to. She was only sort of surprised when Maura had picked up the phone, she answered with a yawn. "Jane, is everything okay?"
"Yeah things are pretty boring here, I think he realized he'd be stupid to show up here. I didn't wake you, did I?"
"No, I was just doing some light reading, Cailin had came over to help with the kids. The twins kind of took over our bed. Putting them to sleep was pretty simple, they were excited to be having a sleepover here. I'm trying to stay alert, who knows what resources this Johnny guy has to find out where these kids are. Who even knows why he took four years to make an appearance."
"Yeah, it definitely is a mystery to me and to Camille. How is Cailin doing with all of this?"
"I think she's more upset than she's letting on. Not showing much emotions. I mean the first person she really cares about and then stuff like this happens. She is probably scared of losing her."
"I hope to God that it doesn't come down to that," Jane sighed. "I don't even want to begin imagining if those kids lose their mother. That is what's going to keep me up at night until this douchebag is found and arrested. The kids are already scared enough as it is right now." Jane paused when she heard movement in Camille's hospital room. "I have to go check on Camille I think she's waking up. I'll see you later, alright Maura."
"Yeah of course, I love you Jane."
"I love you too," she responded before hanging up the phone and going into the room where Camille was tossing and turning before jerked up as she heard the door open.
"Jane, you scared me," Camille looked at the detective and Jane could tell that she had a nightmare because she was sweating and seemed out of breath. Jane sat down next to the woman's bed.
"I'm sorry about that. I heard movement and got worried. Bad dream?"
Camille nodded, "The worst, he got a hold of my kids, I couldn't do anything about it. He took them away from me and it's like I was helpless. Did your brother find him?"
Jane shook her head, "No, but we're going to look more tomorrow, we'll find wherever he's at and make sure he goes away. He's not going to be able to hurt you or your kids, I promise you."
"How can you be so sure about that Jane?"
"Because you are not leaving my sight okay? You'll stay with me and Maura until he's put away. You and the twins will be safe there."
Camille looked at Jane and could feel that she could trust Jane with anything, "Okay, are you sure we won't be intruding on your life?"
"Yeah I'm more than sure you wouldn't be," Jane offered her a smile. "Plus we can catch the bad guys pretty fast sometimes when Detective Rizzoli is on the case. You should try to get back to sleep now, alright?"
"Maura is very lucky to have you Jane," Camille smiled warmly before shifting in the bed and closing her eyes. "Thanks for protecting us Jane."
"Whatever it takes, that's my motto," Jane took a sip of her coffee before leaning back in the chair.
Camille was released from the hospital around noon, Maura had come with the kids to pick her and Jane up.
"Mama I heard that Maura and Jane are going to let us all stay at their house," Kate smiled, holding onto her mother's good hand. "I got to feed her tortoise breakfast today all by myself."
"That's great news sweetheart, have you thanked Maura and Jane for their kindness."
Kate nodded, "I always thank them mama," she turned to smile at Jane and Maura as they got to the car, and Kate and Todd slid into their seats in the back.
"I can't thank you two enough for doing this for me and the kids," Camille smiled. "I really appreciate it."
"It's not a problem at all, we're both happy to help," Maura replied with a smile before the three adults got into the car and Jane drove them back to her and Maura's place.
When they got there she noticed Tommy's car in the driveway, Jane wasn't expecting to see him here, she couldn't help but think that Cailin invited him over to keep her company. As they got inside the house Cailin looked up, she approached Camille and gave her a hug. "I have been really worried about you Cami. When I heard what happened I got really scared. I'm glad that you're okay."
"Me too," Camille smiled.
Cailin turned to Jane, "I kind of asked Tommy to bring some lunch for everyone since Cami was coming here. I hope that it's okay that I invited him."
Jane looked at the younger girl and nodded, "As long as he's been behaving himself then it's fine."
"He's been on his best behavior," Cailin nodded. "I'm kind of over his level of hotness so you needn't worry."
"Who says I was worried?" Jane asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I can see it in your face Jane, I've been practicing reading people so I can be a great detective like you one day," Cailin grinned.
"You don't need to flatter me," she patted her back. "So where is my brother anyways?"
"He went outside to talk to Frost on the phone, he's been outside for a while. I'm kind of concerned," Cailin sighed. "You should probably go check on him, remind him that it's time for lunch."
Jane nodded before going out of the kitchen door and seen Tommy outside with a frown on his face, he noticed Jane come outside. "Hey yeah, we can talk more later. Dirty Robber, seven o' clock? I'll see you then Frost, bye." He hung up and ran his fingers through his hair. "Hey Jane, how's Camille doing?"
"She's doing alright, still haven't found the man who did this to her. Frankie is handling the case. My job is to keep her safe at the moment. So, why do you look so upset?" Jane couldn't help but ask.
"Frost says he wants to talk, I could sense it's not exactly a good thing. Going to meet him later," Tommy sighed. "I just hope things get straightened out. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the real end for us though. Not like I shouldn't be surprised."
"There are plenty fish in the sea Tommy. I think Frost just needs to be on his own right now. You and Frankie aren't exactly making it easy on him, but I don't want to get involved. So whatever happens, can you please be mature about it?"
"Why wouldn't I be mature?"
Jane laughed, "You're joking right? I know you Tommy, but let's not argue I'm pretty hungry and I heard you had brought everyone some lunch," she patted his back as they went back inside.
Frankie had kept giving Jane updates on finding this Johnny Calpine guy throughout the day. Detective Crowe had been helping and he was pretty upset he was involved in this grunt work, he'd prefer solving 'real crimes' as he put it.
Eventually they ended up finding him and he didn't confess to anything at first but when science proved that he had attacked and attempted murder on Camille he was arrested. Camille was more than relieved but they would end up staying at Jane and Maura's place for a few more days as she wasn't entirely convinced that he wouldn't be bailed out she would just have to wait and see.
Frankie had ended up at the Dirty Robber, sitting at the bar, quite surprised to see his mother there at a table. "Hey Ma, what are you doing here?"
Angela looked up at her son, "I got a little tired of being at home alone without Vince, so I figured why not visit here for a bit. Don't worry though, it's just apple juice that I'm drinking." She lifted up here drink. "How has that case been? Jane kept me updated on what was going on."
"We found the guy and he's arrested, let's just hope that nobody pays his bail for him."
"God forbid that happens, abusive people need to remain at jail. Physical and emotional," she ate her salad. "I'm glad your father hasn't been bailed out a second time."
"Yeah I don't even want to imagine that, it already worries me that he got out before. Who knows how much pent up anger he has about the situation." Frankie took a bite of his fries that he ordered. "I'm glad that he's out of our lives for good, takes the stress off of a lot of things."
"Jane was telling me that you and Tommy have been having problems, she hasn't been really specific, just that you two are driving her absolutely nuts," Angela shook her head. "What is that all about anyways? I thought my sons were better than whatever it is that has gotten you two so uptight."
"Honestly Ma, it's the whole Frost thing, after Gwen abandoned me he has been there for me and when Tommy went away for a little while with whatever self discovery thing he was doing, well me and Frost bonded more than normal and well... I can't help how I feel about the whole thing. I'm still not even sure what I'm feeling and it has just been making me anxious and tense, even being around him since Tommy has come back has been really difficult. And Tommy is just an irritating asshole," Frankie groaned, running a hand through his hair.
"Is that how you really feel about me Frankie?" Tommy had came up to the table and sat down beside Angela. "I'm surprised to see you both here, especially you Ma, is everything alright?"
"Yeah I'm fine thanks for asking, just got kind of lonely while Vince has been working so much."
Tommy nodded, "You know I was thinking about applying here to become a bartender. I wouldn't mind getting some extra cash helping you both out and my little bro," he wrapped an arm around his mother's shoulders. "I never thought I would ever get to say that I have a little brother. I might just spoil the thing."
Angela smiled, "Well we would appreciate the help. It's nice that you want to take initiative. You should ask Vince about applying, I'm sure he wouldn't mind the extra hands. I know I would enjoy having my husband around the house more."
"Yeah Ma I don't like him working so hard all the time," Tommy let go of his mother and got up from the table. "I'm going to go sit at the bar, Frost is supposed to be coming any minute now."
"You're meeting up with Frost, here?" Frankie asked with a frown on his face.
"Yeah, that's not a problem, is it?" Tommy asked before leaving not giving his older brother a chance to answer. "Hey Korsak my man, can I have a beer," Tommy greeted as he approached the bar. "How's it going tonight?"
"It's been going alright, so how are things going with you?" Korsak handed Tommy a beer.
"Why does everyone want to know what's going on with me? People usually aren't that curious or just assume I got myself into trouble," he drank his beer. "Frost is coming to talk to me. It sounded pretty serious."
"I heard that it is, but I don't think I should discuss it, that's something Frost wants to do for himself," Korsak looked at the Rizzoli. "It's gonna be alright, you know that right?"
"I don't know how you can be so sure, Jane thinks whatever happens I'm not going to be mature about it," Tommy sighed. "Nobody trusts me that's just something I've got to get used to in my life."
"I know you think you're just a lost cause, but you're not. But we all know how easily trust doesn't come with your siblings. Your family is let's just say very complicated."
"And yet you wanted to be a part of this family. You sure that you made the right choice man?"
Korsak smirked, "I haven't been more sure of anything in my life," he looked over at Angela who caught a glimpse of him and waved to him. "People do do crazy things for love."
"Yeah like fighting with your brother of who deserves to have Frost and who doesn't. I guess that's pretty sad in a way," Tommy shrugged. "Frost deserves the best though, more than anything."
Frost had entered the Dirty Robber seconds later finding Tommy at the bar talking to Korsak. He sat down on the stool beside him. "Hey Tommy sorry that I'm a little late, had to finish something at work."
"It's not a problem Frost was just talking to Korsak. Frankie is here too, with Ma," Tommy nodded his head towards his family. "I hope it's still okay that we talk."
Frost nodded, "Yeah of course, that's why I'm here," he turned to face Korsak who was standing in front of them. "Um did you mind letting me talk to Tommy? Isn't it time you take a break anyways, there's nobody else in here."
Korsak nodded, "You know a break sounds like a good idea," he smiled before going over to sit at Angela's table.
"So what did you want to discuss?" Tommy asked looking at Frost with a blank expression on his face.
"I think you have a little bit of an idea," Frost glanced at Tommy's beer. "I thought you stopped drinking..."
"It's kind of hard to stop sometimes Frost, especially when things have been pretty tense lately, like with my brother," Tommy pushed his beer over to Frost. "You can have it if you'd like."
"Thanks, but I don't need alcohol for this conversation. I like you a lot Tommy, I know we've have been a little off since you came back from your travels. What I don't like is what is happening with you and Frankie. I do not like the feeling that I'm coming between you and him, and I'm not even sure why that is," Frost looked at Tommy's face observing his expression.
Tommy sighed, "Frankie has been seeming more irritable in my opinion, I don't know why we keep on arguing and I know you don't like being the center of attention, I guess I just can't help it. You know Korsak told me you do crazy things for love and I guess fighting with my brother is because I have insecurities about myself and that it's been really confusing how I feel about you. Like I know I love you but I'm just not good at dealing with romance and relationships," he ran fingers through his hair. "All I do know is I feel lost without you, but I know we're like exact opposites."
Frost reached over to take Tommy's hand, "I care so much about you that it kind of just scares me, you know? Especially seeing what this is doing to you and your brother and I just... I don't want to come between you two anymore. I think that we should just stay friends all three of us, I really think it's for the best for right now."
"Even if it makes you unhappy?" Tommy asked, squeezing his fingers.
"It wouldn't be the first time I been unhappy, I'm more upset about what's happening with between you and Frankie, I'm not worth all the tension and anger, trust me it doesn't look like it will end well between you two. I can't come between that."
"And if me and Frankie figure things out, could there be a chance for us getting back together?" Tommy pulled his hand from Frost's.
"That all depends," he shrugged, deciding to take a drink of Tommy's beer.
"On what?"
"It depends if you decide that you still want me, if you choose to move on or not. Feelings can change over time you know, plus I mean you're Tommy Rizzoli, you're totally a stud. I see the way you look at other people, how some people look at you, and I have no hard feelings," Frost downed the rest of the beer.
"You sure that there are no hard feelings Frosty?"
Frost nodded, "Yeah of course not, no hard feelings at all."
Tommy bit his bottom lip, "Alright, so can I do something though?" he glanced down at Frost's lips. "Just in case this is the last time for doing so?"
Frost licked his lips, "If you want to kiss me all you had to do was ask."
Tommy couldn't help but glance over where Frankie was sitting at first, all three of them were staring and looked away, "Maybe this isn't the best place to do this? They can be so nosy sometimes."
Frost laughed and nodded, sliding off of the stool before walking outside, Tommy in tow. As soon as they got outside Tommy grabbed Frost by the arm and pulled him into a kiss, catching Frost off guard he felt like his legs were about to give out, he slowly kissed Tommy back, groaning at Tommy's tongue slipping into his mouth. Tommy's arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him as close as he could.
They ended up backing up against the wall, not even a centimeter in-between their bodies, their hips pressed together both groaning at the contact. Frost was the one who pulled away, flushed at the intensity of the kiss. "Well um..."
Tommy licked his lips, "Yeah," he groaned out, his pants feeling really tight right now. "I should um... I should go," he bit his bottom lip.
Frost looked at Tommy and nodded, "Um yeah... I mean if you want. I haven't really seen you react this way, before..." he gave his body a look over, and Tommy could feel the intensity of the look Frost was giving him.
"Do you even want me to go?" he asked in a whisper.
"It would be for the best I think," he rubbed the back of his neck. "I don't want to continue what I can't finish."
Tommy nodded at his response, "Of course, I wouldn't want you to do something you're uncomfortable with doing. I'll just need a minute, you can go back inside if you want."
Frost looked into his eyes, "Are you sure?"
He nodded again, "Yeah I planned to go home after our talk. I'll see you around, okay?"
"Of course," Frost leaned up to press a kiss to his cheek. "Goodnight Tommy."
"Goodnight Frosty," Tommy bit his bottom lip and watched as Frost went inside, before letting out a deep breath.
Camille and the twins stayed at Maura and Jane's only for a few more days before they went back to her apartment, nobody had posted Johnny out with bail so it made Camille feel at least a little bit safer.
The next couple of weeks proved to uneventful as it was now the weekend of Jane and Maura's wedding. They had both started to take off for their vacation, they would resume work in about a week and a half. They were currently sitting snuggled up on the couch in the living room drinking some wine.
"Jane, are you going to at least give me a hint of where we are going for our honeymoon?" Maura asked, as she did almost everyday this week.
"Come on Maura, you know I don't want to ruin the surprise. Patience is important."
Maura just rolled her eyes, "I usually have patience but I'm excited of where you thought would be a good place for us to take our honeymoon," she reached out to take Jane's hand in hers. "You already packed my suitcase."
"I want to really surprise you is all Maura, trust me you are going to love it," she kissed her cheek. "I'll be worth the wait. When have I ever disappointed."
"Well there was this one time," she smirked.
Jane looked at her in shock, "What do you mean?"
"You know what I mean Jane, the other week when we started doing yoga and you got called away for work..."
"Oh that, really? That's when I disappointed you?"
"Just a little bit," Maura rested her head on Jane's shoulder. "When you intentionally stuck your ass in my face, one second it was there then the next it was whisked away by work."
"Well I am very sorry that I disappointed you," Jane smirked, "Me and my ass apologize. That's what we get when we were doing yoga in your office."
"We only did it there because you were so stressed out on a case, and I'm glad you were able to relax. I like my girl relaxed," Maura winked.
"Of course you do," Jane took her and Maura's wine glasses putting them on the table and turned to the woman. "You know what else that will relax me?"
"Doing more yoga?" she raised an eyebrow with a flirty smile.
"Good guess, but not quite what I had in mind," Jane cupped Maura's cheek before pressing her lips gently against hers. Maura smiled into the kiss for a second before pulling back going to straddle Jane's lap.
"Is this more what you were thinking?" Maura asked, playing with the waistband of Jane's sweatpants, leaning down to press her lips against Jane's neck.
"Yeah definitely," she closed her eyes, it seemed like it was a while since they had been intimate. She rested her hands on Maura's ass giving it a squeeze when there was a knock on the front door. "Who the hell is that?" Jane frowned when Maura pulled away. "If we don't answer maybe they'll go away," she pouted as Maura had gotten off of her lap.
"It could be important Jane, I'll be right back," she leaned down to kiss her forehead before going to answer the door. "Angela, are you alright?"
"Hey Maura, I hope I wasn't interrupting anything," she ran a hand through her hair. "Can I come in?"
Maura bit her bottom lip and nodded, "Um... sure," she stepped to the side letting the older woman in and closed the door behind her.
"Ma! What are you doing here?" Jane asked, "It's like 9 o' clock and you look like hell."
"I haven't been sleeping so well and I'm pregnant of course I look like hell Janie."
"Well you should at least sit down then Ma," Jane walked with her towards the couch.
"I can make you some tea Angela if you'd like," Maura offered and Angela smiled.
"That's nice of you thanks Maura."
"So Ma, why are you here?" Jane asked sitting down next to her. "Are you and Korsak doing alright?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't we be doing fine? I've just been having a little bit of heartburn and didn't think me being at home alone was a good idea."
"So you decided you wanted to stay here? Ma if you have heartburn you should go to the hospital, make sure everything is okay."
"I went yesterday to get it checked out, got medicine for it. I usually always have heartburn when I had your brothers," Angela rested her hand on Jane's knee. "Nothing is wrong with the baby. I can reassure you that. I hope that you girls don't mind me staying over, figured it would be a good idea to visit you both since your brothers seem to not want to answer their phones."
"I didn't pick up my phone either Ma," Jane leaned back against the back of the couch. "But I can't exactly be upset with you, well not completely anyways," she kicked her feet up on the coffee table. "Does Korsak know you came over here?"
"I told him when I left the Dirty Robber after having dinner. He was working hard, just like always. That man really needs to take some time off," Angela shook her head.
"Well at least the good news is you don't have to worry about him getting himself injured on the job, well a much lower chance anyways," Jane shrugged.
Maura came back from the kitchen handing Angela the mug of tea before sitting on the other side of Jane. "So how have you been feeling?" she asked, before taking Jane's legs and removing her feet from the table.
"Honestly I'm about ready to get this pregnancy over with, I haven't felt so uncomfortable in my life," Angela sipped at the tea, enjoying the warmth. "Me and Vince should have been a lot more careful."
"Yeah a hell of a lot more careful Ma. You've been strong throughout this whole thing so far, don't be giving up now," Jane frowned.
"I'm not giving up sweetie. I'm just saying you were right," Angela sighed.
"I highly doubt I was right. However that is nice to hear. I'm almost hardly right when it comes down to the smarts of me against Maura."
Maura turned to Jane, "I wouldn't say it like that Jane. Give yourself at least some credit."
"At least I know I was right in my feelings for you," Jane leaned over to kiss Maura's cheek. "I can't wait to become your wife day after next."
"And I couldn't be happier, best friends and wives until the end of time," Maura rested her head against Jane's shoulder.
Angela smiled at her two favorite girls in her life, "For what it's worth, I'm very happy for the both of you. My girls are growing up."
"Thanks Ma," Jane smirked, grabbing her glass of wine to finish it off. "I'm thinking that I'm going to head to bed, tomorrow is supposed to be a long day. I'll see you both in the morning," Jane kissed her mom on the cheek and looked at Maura with a smile, "Don't you guys stay up too late now."
"We'll try not to sweetheart, sweet dreams Janie," Angela smiled.
"Thanks Ma, love you both," Jane went to go put her empty glass in the sink before heading upstairs.
"Do you think that Janie's upset that I came over? I honestly had nowhere else to go," Angela put down her tea once she was done with it.
"She should be fine, I mean we're about to be on our honeymoon for a week and that's a lot of alone time with Jane, she will be alright. I think she's just worried about you," Maura told her.
"She doesn't need to be worried at all, I'm fine. You know I never realized how much Jane has appreciated me until the past year and a half it's kind of heartwarming coming from Jane. I think you're the person to thank for that," Angela gave Maura's hand a reassuring squeeze. "Thank you Maura, for being the best person out there for my daughter. We are all very lucky to have you in our lives."
Maura felt her cheeks flush at Angela's words, even thoughthe woman always ended up thanking her, probably more than needed. "It's not a problem at all Angela, you should thank your daughter too for making the decision to give this romance a chance."
Angela smirked, "True, she'd be so lost if she didn't have you," she stood up from the couch with a yawn, "I think Jane had the right idea for going to bed."
Maura nodded, "We still on for our outing tomorrow? Cailin, Hope and Constance are still joining us."
"Of course, I just hope that Jane stays out of trouble hanging with the boys tomorrow."
She laughed, "I'm sure Jane will be the responsible adult out of everyone there. All those boys can be so immature sometimes."
"I'm just glad that my sons are done with their little hissy fit dealing with Frost. I think everyone will be a bit more mature these days. At least that's what I hope for," Angela smiled, kissing Maura's cheek. "Good night Maura and thanks for the tea."
"Goodnight Angela and I'm always happy to help," Maura went upstairs once Angela went into the guest house, she slipped into her bedroom where Jane was propped up on her elbows.
"About time," Jane smirked, sitting up.
"Me and Angela had a nice talk, she went to go sleep in the guest house," Maura went to go straddle Jane's lap. "You don't seem so tired to me Jane," she eyed her fiancee with a smirk before pushing her down onto the bed.
"Well I figured that you'd want to still finish what we started when we were downstairs, I would like to think that I was right about that," Jane looked up at Maura when she pinned her arms up above her head.
"You were correct," she licked her lips before pressing them against Jane's neck, she took one hand to push up Jane's shirt, kissing down her chest, she let go of Jane's hands and she ran her hands against Maura's back, ending up on her ass. Maura pressed her hips hard against Jane's feeling herself feel a little damp already.
The rest of their clothes were quickly shed from each other, they just wanted to be as close as humanly possible. Jane tangled her hand in Maura's hair as their bodies moved together, Maura positioned herself in between Jane's legs letting their entrances touch. Jane arched up her back groaning at the contact. She held onto Maura's hips as they rolled their centers against each other.
"Shit," Jane groaned out, closing her eyes, feeling the wet, throbbing sensation, Maura kept her eyes on Jane as she moved harder against her, moaning at the friction caused between the two. Maura's hands digging into Jane's arms as they picked up the pace. "Maura, I'm so close," she managed to get out and Maura nodded her head.
"Me...too," Maura grunted, feeling herself come undo against Jane's body. "Shit," she whimpered as Jane gave another hard roll against her core. Maura clenched up, "Oh shit..." she tossed her head back as she could feel her orgasm. Jane licked her lips at the sounds slipping from Maura's mouth. "Son of a bitch," she felt her body shake alongside Jane's as they came together. Maura collapsed down against Jane's naked body before rolling off of her.
"Shit Maura," Jane laughed, tucking the strand of hair behind her ear. "That was pretty intense."
Maura nodded, wiping her face, "I'll say. I might have been holding that in a little too long."
"Just a little bit, it was extremely sexy though," Jane stroked Maura's hip bone. "Any chance that you'd want to do that again?"
Maura licked her lips, "I would love nothing more than to do that again."
"I figured you'd say that Doctor Isles," Jane winked. "Are you sure you have it in you though, you seem a little out of breath."
"Are you doubting what I'm capable of Detective?" she eyed Jane suspiciously.
"I wouldn't dare dream of it," Jane licked her lips.
"Well what are you waiting for then?" Maura grinned and Jane shook her head with a matching grin on her face and moved on top of her.
