The Ghost jumped out of Hyperspace as it arrived at the planet of Agamar before landing on the planet below near the wreckage of a Separatist supply ship with the ramp lowered with Kanan, Ezra who had her helmet between her arm and her side, Zeb, Chopper and Rex who had his Clone Trooper Phase II helmet between his arm and side as well. While Sabine and Hera stood on the top of the ramp.
"You sure you don't need help?" Hera asked Kanan as she followed him down the ramp a little.
"I'm sure everything will go horribly wrong," Kanan answered.
"We'll be fine. We have a Clone Wars veteran with us," Ezra assured Hera as she placed her helmet over her head.
"Ready, Captain?" Kanan asked the Clone captain.
"Yes, sir, Uh General Skywalk-" Rex started before correcting himself as he placed his Clone Trooper Phase II helmet over his head after nearly referring to Kanan as his General during the Clone Wars, "Kanan." The Ghost lifted off and flew away as the four of them walked away from the ship, "There was a battle here during the Clone War. This old transport's the perfect place to find weapons, ammo, maybe even some proton bombs."
"Hey, was this a Separatist battle droid?" Ezra suddenly asked as she picked up the head of a destroyed B1 Battle Droid that was apparently on the ground.
"Oh, yeah," Rex confirmed, "Little piece of one anyway. This place used to be crawling with 'em. We called 'em clankers."
"Clankers," Zeb repeated, chuckling, loving the insult that the clones called the battle droids of the Separatist Droid Army, "I like that. How many of these things do you think you blasted?"
"I don't know," Rex answered as Ezra knocked on the head of the B1 Battle Droid that she was holding with her fist, "Thousands. Probably of thousands. Never kept count like some of the boys."
"They don't look very dangerous," Ezra suddenly said as dropped the head.
"Listen, those droids wiped out a lot of Republic troopers," Rex said as he turned to her, "Many of them were my friends."
"Rex has been through a lot," Kanan told her as Rex continued walking towards the Separatist transport, "Battles leave scars, some you can't see."
"Hold up. Let me recon first," Rex said before scouting ahead while the others stood behind a container as he scanned the area with his helmet built-in viewfinder and saw proton bombs in the distance inside of a storage room, "Well, look at that. We hit pay dirt. The munitions depot is fully loaded. More proton bombs in there than we can carry."
"Good job, Rex," Kanan said as he placed his hand on the clone's shoulder as he and the others came over to him.
"Way to go, Captain," Ezra told the clone, agreeing with her master before rushing to get the proton bombs, while Chopper heard B1 Battle Droids saying their catchphrase in the distance before he grunted as he realized that there were B1 Battle Droids here that were still operational.
"Hey, careful, Ezra," Rex warned Ezra as they began to walk into a corridor, "The droids used to protect their armories with ray shields."
"What's a ray shiel-" She began before getting interrupted as a ray shield activated, trapping her, Rex, Kanan and Zeb.
"This is a ray shield," Rex answered the Mandalorian.
"Look! Aren't those Battle Droids?" Ezra said pointing at B1 Battle Droids that were approaching them, "I thought they were all shut down."
"Well, these weren't," Zeb said, stating the obvious.
"You have been captured by the Separatist Alliance," one of the B1 Battle Droids told them.
"Huh? Separatists?" Rex repeated in confusion.
"Prepare to blast the Republic invaders," the B1 Battle Droid added.
"Republic invaders?" Kanan repeated in confusion as well.
"Belay that order," the Battle Droid said as he received new orders from his built-in comlink and put his hand on it after putting his E-5 blaster rifle on his back, "Uh-Huh. Uh-Huh. Roger, roger."
"Wait, who's Roger?" Ezra asked.
"We have new orders. Incapacitate and capture," the battle droid announced, "Activating stunner."
"No!" Rex protested before getting electrocuted along with everyone else in the ray shield as they were knocked unconscious by the stunner.
"Take them to the command center," the battle droid ordered the other B1 Battle Droids before other Battle Droids dragged the others away with one of them only carrying Zeb's bo-rifle, "We haven't captured anyone in years."
"We haven't captured anyone ever." One of the other Battle Droids corrected him as unbeknownst to them, Chopper was spying on them from behind canisters with a camera from his dome that he deployed.
"Ugh. Where… Where are we?" Rex groaned as he slowly regained consciousness and saw that he was wearing stuncuffs as he was taken prisoner in the bridge of the Separatist supply ship.
"How intriguing. Well, done, B1-268," he heard a robotic voice say and look up and saw a Super Tactical Droid from the Clone Wars speaking to one of the Battle Droids and saw the Super Tactical Droid holding his Phase II Clone helmet and Ezra's helmet as well.
"Roger, roger," the Battle Droid said.
"Oh, no. The war, it's not over!" Rex muttered as he began to have flashbacks of the Clone Wars due to his PTSD.
"Rex. Rex!" Kanan called out to the clone.
"Cody!" Rex called out.
"Talk to me," Kanan said, bringing him back to reality.
"Ah, Kanan," Rex said, looking to his side as he realized that it was Kanan that spoke to him instead of CC-2224 'Commander Cody', "I'm sorry I thought you were someone else."
"I need you here now, buddy. We're in the usual mess. I think the commander's a Super Tactical Droid," Kanan told him.
"Ah, you're right. He is," Rex confirmed as he saw the Super Tactical Droid walk forward holding both helmets in his hands.
"Is that bad?" Ezra inquired.
"It's really bad," Rex confirmed, "That droid's extremely intelligent."
"Near the end of the war, Separatist droids significantly outnumbered Republic units," the Super Tactical Droid told them as he stared at the rebels, "By my calculations our possibility of being defeated was only 23.6%."
"After Clone Order 66, the whole droid army was given a shutdown command. How are you even operating?" Rex asked the Super Tactical Droid with confusion.
"The Jedi betrayal ended the war for most of the galaxy. But here on Agamar, I assumed it was a Republic trick and prevented the shutdown command," the Super Tactical Droid explained.
"Well, it doesn't matter how it ended. The war is over," Rex stated, "Let us go."
"Negative, Captain," the Super Tactical Droid refused, "I calculate that this will be my only opportunity to end the Clone Wars as I planned, with a victory for the Separatist Alliance."
"What do you want us to do? Surrender?" Rex asked him.
"On the contrary, I want you to fight, to prove, once and for all, whose tactical strategy was superior," the Super Tactical Droid corrected the clone.
"Well, you can count me out. I'm not playing some stupid war game," Zeb told them.
"That is correct, Lasat," the Super Tactical Droid told Zeb, "Most of your species except a Jedi Master named Jaro Tapal was not in the Clone Wars, so you will be the hostage your allies must save. The Jedi Rescue is a recurring scenario based on 132 battles I have reviewed."
"Yeah, we've done it a few times," Ezra spoke up.
"Jedi, is this Mandalorian your Padawan?" The Super Tactical Droid asked Kanan.
"Most of the time," Kanan shrugged.
"Good," the Super Tactical Droid said, "A complete set of Republic opponents will make this authentic."
"No, it won't, because we're not fighting," Rex refused.
"If you will not fight, you will be terminated," the Super Tactical Droid stated.
"I'll fight your Clone War," Ezra told the Super Tactical Droid.
"What?" Rex asked her with confusion.
"Ezra, no!" Kanan pleaded with his padawan.
"Hey, you both talk about the Clone Wars," Ezra reminded them, "What it was like, the good and bad. I wanna help you win this last battle. Besides, look at them. How can we lose?"
"Uh, hey," one of the Battle Droids said as she offended him.
"Okay, it might be easier to fight them head-on than to get out of our current dilemma," Kanan sighed.
"Fine. Fine, we'll do it," Rex said, finally agreeing with the Super Tactical Droid.
"Okay, but if we win, Zeb goes free, and we take all the proton bombs in the hangar," Ezra said.
"I accept your terms," the Super Tactical Droid said before dropping both Rex and Ezra's helmets which landed in front of them.
"The commander has initiated Battle Plan Zeta," B1-268 announced to the other B1 Battle Droids as he walked down one of the corridors, "Take your positions at once."
"Roger, Roger," the Battle Droid chanted as they all walked in separate directions.
"Battle plan Zeta?" One of the Battle droids repeated as Chopper watched from behind one of the canisters, "Finally!" The astromech rolled away before stopping as he noticed a Neimoidian escort shuttle in the distance and grunted as he rolled into it and inserted his scomp link into the shuttle's astromech port and rotated it around, the power in the shuttle began to turn on as the lights flickered for a second before turning back off for a second before Chopper pounded his arm on the wall, causing the lights to flickered back on as well as the power as he began to send a distress signal.
Meanwhile in space, the Ghost was retreating from Imperial Star Destroyers as TIE fighters chased the Ghost firing upon them.
"How much fuel did we get before the ambush?" Hera asked Sabine.
"Enough for the whole fleet," Sabine answered as she fired the top turret of the Ghost as she had her helmet over her head, "I just hope my sister, Kanan and Rex aren't expecting us back on Agamar anytime soon.
"If Kanan needs help, he'll call us," Hera reassured the Mandalorian.
"Since when?" Sabine asked with disbelief.
"Fine. If Chopper's in over his head, he'll hide and call us," Hera said, rephrasing her statement.
"That's more believable!" Sabine said through the ship's comm.
"Congratulations," Kallus told Pryce as he walked up to her on the bridge of one of the Star Destroyers, "Your plan to ambush them at the fuel depot worked like a charm."
"Only if we catch them," Pryce corrected the ISB agent.
"Excuse me, Governor," they suddenly heard Konstantine called out to her before they looked down to one of the navigational areas where he was standing next to one of the navigational officers, "We've intercepted a rebel transmission from the Agamar system before it was received by the rebel ship. The message is encrypted but it repeats like a distress signal."
"Interesting," Pryce mused as she had her hand over her chin, "The rebels there must be desperate for help that will never come. Locate the nearest Imperial outpost to Agamar and deploy them. Immediately."
"The objective of this battle is simple. You must fight your way back to my command center and capture it to free your friend," Rex, Ezra and Kanan heard the voice of the Super Tactical Droid explain to them on the comms as they stood outside the supply ship with both Rex and Ezra having their helmets between their arms and sides.
"Rex, you've more battlefield experience than either of us. You lead," Kanan suggested as he crossed his arms.
"All right, our first goal is to get inside the hangar. Kalani is a war machine, programmed to kill, and he's got the numbers and the firepower to do it," Rex said, referring to the Super Tactical Droid by its name. "Our only chance is to be aggressive, surprise him, hopefully put him on the defensive."
"How many droids do you think he has?" Ezra asked him.
"The last battle will begin now," Kalani suddenly said on the ship's comm as hundred or thousands of B1 Battle Droids marched out from the hangar.
"A lot," Kanan answered for her as he heard the sound of Battle droids walking out of the hangar with his ears, "He has a lot of droids!"
"We've gotta scatter them. Use the sword and shield maneuver," Rex said as he placed his helmet over his head.
"Wait. What does that mean?" Ezra asked her master as she placed her helmet over her head.
"We block, he fires," Kanan explained as Rex pulled out his DC-17 blaster pistols while Kanan and Ezra both took their lightsabers out and ignited them. "Everybody ready?"
"Elek," Ezra replied in Mando'a, confusing Kanan before explaining to him what she said, "Kanan, It means 'yes' in Mando'a."
"Let's go!" Rex stated as the Battle Droids began to fire upon them with their E-5 blaster rifles while he held a thermal detonator in his hand.
"Ezra, get ready to duck!" Kanan called out to his padawan as they deflected the blaster bolts with their sabers.
"Okay!" She said.
"Now!" Kanan called, ducking as Rex threw the thermal detonator at the B1 Battle Droids exploding as soon as it landed, destroying several Battle Droids, "Again!" Kanan and Ezra ducked as Rex threw another thermal detonators at the Battle Droids, destroying the Battle Droids as it landed.
"That scattered 'em! Everybody forward!" Rex called as Ezra rushed towards slashing her saber through the Battle Droids as Kanan did the same while Rex fired his DC-17s at the Battle Droids, "Ezra, form it up! We've gotta stay together."
Soon the trio hid behind some box shaped containers as Kanan and Ezra both deactivated their sabers as the Mandalorian scoped out the hangar from the edge of their hiding place and saw that it was empty. "The hangar looks clear. Let's go."
"Wait," Rex said as he placed his hand on her shoulder before stepping in front of her, "That's not how it normally goes."
"What's wrong?" She asked him.
"The droids usually keep coming, wave after wave," Rex explained.
"That tactical droid has had a long time to think about this," Kanan told them, "And remember, he wants to win."
"I'm surprised it means so much to him," Ezra said.
"Yeah, it means a lot to his programming," Rex mused, "It means a lot to mine as well."
"Your programming?" She asked with confusion.
"We clones were bred for combat. With few exceptions, there was no other way of life for us," Rex explained to her, "Kind of like the Mandalorians of old."
"We should move," Kanan told Rex as he placed his hand over his shoulder before running forward.
"Right, Commander. Uh, Kanan," Rex said as he followed Kanan with Ezra following as well.
"Looks like my friends are doing pretty good," Zeb told Kalani as they watched the battle from the view screen inside the command center, "You might as well surrender now."
"I am not programmed to comprehend your humor," Kalani told the lasat.
"I'm not joking," Zeb told him.
"Ha, ha, ha," Kalani said, sarcastically as he saw Kanan, Rex and Ezra run into the hangar on the screen, "Your Republic and Mandalorian friends have taken the bait. Send in the Destroyers."
With that, multiple Droidekas, in their rolling form rolled across the catwalk above Rex, Kanan and Ezra. "Incoming!" Rex called as the droidekas stopped rolling, went into their attack formation as their activated their shields and began firing upon them as they hid behind another of the box shaped containers. "Can't advance with those Destroyers up there. There's no way to breach their shields."
"Look! That crane!" Ezra said as she pointed at a crane underneath one of the catwalks, "I bet we can use it to take out the catwalk. I'll make a run for it."
"We'll draw their attention," Kanan reassured her.
"There's gonna be a lot of fire," Rex added, "We'll have to be quick."
"Ezra, move as fast as you can," Kanan told her.
"You can count on me," she reassured him as she moved to the far side of the box shaped container they were hiding behind as Kanan and Rex ran over to another box shaped container as Ezra began running towards the catwalk.
"Ah, the Jedi have split up, as they do 76% of the time," Kalani said as he watched Ezra split up from Kanan and Rex on the screen in front of him, "Squad six, advance."
"Move in!" One of the B1 Battle Droids from Squad six ordered his fellow B1 Battle Droids before firing upon Kanan and Rex with their blaster bolts.
"More droids! We've gotta take cover," Rex said as he fired his DC-17 while Kanan deflected the blaster bolts with his lightsaber as they ran to chase Ed behind a box shaped container nearby.
"Hey!" One of the battle droids cried as one of the deflected blaster bolts collided with his head before falling to the ground, dead.
Ezra turned around after she saw what Rex and Kanan was doing and gasped in surprise as Chopper snuck up in front of her and grunted to her. "Hmm, Chop, where've you been " she asked him and he grunted a response, "How'd you send a distress signal?" His response was grabbing her by the wrist with his robotic arm, "Mmm! I'm kinda in the middle of something." He then grunted insistently as he continued to drag her, "Okay. Okay!" He grunted yet again as he pointed upwards with his arms before she looked over the small box shaped containers in front of her and saw the Neimoidian escort shuttle that Chopper powered on earlier. "A shuttle! It's a good find, Chop. But we're not leaving without Zeb. So you get it running and I'll get the others." He grunted as she began to continue approaching the crane.
"Where is that Mandalorian?" Rex grunted as he hid back behind cover with Kanan after firing back at the Battle Droids, "We're gonna get trapped here. We need to move. Now."
"No, Rex. Wait!" Kanan called out to the clone as he went out of hiding before getting hit on the chest with a blaster bolt, causing him to fall on the floor as he began deflecting the blaster bolts with his lightsaber.
As Ezra stood behind small box shaped containers she extended her arm out as she began to move the crane backwards with the Force, knocking the Droidekas from the catwalk onto the floor, destroying them before the both sections of catwalk fell onto the Battle Droids with one section of the catwalk falling in front of a Battle Droid.
"You all right?" Kanan asked Rex as he helped him up.
"I'm good," Rex answered as he chuckled a bit as he got on his feet, "generation one armor always holds up." He fired his blasters up towards the ray shield above that trapped them earlier as they began running into one of the supply ship's corridors. "No ray shields this time."
"Well, that went just as planned, more or less," Ezra remarked as she ran with them after catching up with them, "I make a pretty good Mandalorian soldier, huh?"
"No, a good soldier follows orders," he told her, recalling what Clone Trooper Tup said as his inhibitor chip malfunctioned causing him to kill Jedi Master Tiplar during the Battle of Ringo Vinda, which almost caused the Jedi Order to discover Sidious's plan to us the Inhibitor chips in all the clones to kill Jedi before chiding her, "That plan was based on timing and execution. And you took too long!"
"But Chopper wanted to show me…" she began to defend her actions.
"This is not a game! This is life and death! Every move you make affects the rest of us," he added, "If we're gonna survive this, we're gonna do it with strategy and discipline."
"It's not you," Kanan assured her as he placed his hand over her shoulder while Rex walked away, "He needs to finish this battle his way."
"Just like that droid," she muttered to herself as Kanan followed Rex as Rex fired his DC-17s at a B1 Battle Droid in the head, killing it as it fell onto the floor as he ran around the corner as both Kanan and Ezra had their sabers ignited as Rex fired his DC-17s at two B1 Battle Droids in the corridor they ran through, killing the two Battle Droids before two Droidekas rolled in front of them as they went into attack formation as they activated their shields and began firing upon them.
"Rex, get between us!" Kanan suggested to the clone captain.
"Ezra, incoming!" Rex warned the Mandalorian as he stood between the Jedi while a Droideka came up behind them and began firing upon them as well and began firing upon the Droidekas with his DC-17s as Kanan and Ezra began to deflect their blaster bolts with their sabers.
"Push and fire, now!" Kanan said before extending his arm that wasn't holding his saber and Force pushed the droideka backwards, causing its shield to dissolve before Rex fired his DC-17 at the droideka, causing it to malfunction as its shield reactivated as it started to spark with electricity as it began firing at the wall next to it as it approached the wall before blowing up. Ezra fell on her back onto the floor as the droideka began firing upon them, causing Rex to fall on his back as well as his Phase II clone trooper fell on the floor beside him before picking it up and threw it at the droideka, causing the droideka to spark with electricity as its shield deactivated.
"That worked!" Rex said with disbelief as he fired his DC-17 at the droideka in the chest before it powered down.
"Shield overheated. That droid's too old," Kanan said as he deactivated his saber.
"Just like me," Rex scoffed, getting back on his feet as Kanan helped Ezra up.
"You okay?" Kanan asked Ezra.
"Yeah, I'll be fine," she reassured him as Rex placed his helmet over his head.
In the command center, Kalani heard blaster bolts from the open door on his side and aimed his blaster at the sound of the blaster bolts as Rex fired his DC-17s at one of the Battle Droids, guarding the room, killing the B1 Battle Droid.
"Well, looks like we win," Rex told Kalani as he, Kanan and Ezra entered the room as the clone had the Super Tactical Droid at blaster point.
"I disagree, Captain," Kalani said as one of the B1 Battle Droids aimed their E-5 blaster rifles at Zeb.
"Rex, no! Don't!" Ezra said, trying to stop the clone from killing Kalani as Rex fired his DC17s only for the blaster bolts to hit the wall behind the Super Tactical Droid before she stood between them, "We didn't win. These droids are so old, they malfunctioned. If they hadn't we'd be goners."
"The girl is correct," Kalani said, agreeing with the Mandalorian, "The droid army would have prevailed. So, technically, victory is ours."
"No, it's not!" She said, disagreeing with Kalani, "I never really thought about it. I never asked, not even my sister as she was born during the war. I know the Jedi were wiped out after the Siege of Mandalore, the clones were decommissioned, and the droid army was just shut down. The Clone War ended, but why? If none of you won, who did?"
"Uh, the Empire," Zeb answered after a few moments of silence.
"Zeb, that's right!" she said as Kalani turned to the lasat, "How did you know?"
"Because, they're here, and they're about to win again," Zeb answered as he stared out the command center's window as he saw Imperial vessels in the sky.
"I've got a new calculation for you," Ezra said before asking, "What are the chances your droid army can defeat the Empire?"
"My resources are depleted," Kalani admitted, "However, the droid army is not currently at war with the Galactic Empire."
"You wanna bet?" Zeb asked.
"Unit B1-268, analyze the threat," Kalani ordered one of his Battle Droids with his comlink.
"Roger, Roger," B1-268 replied as he began walking towards the two approaching Imperial shuttles as he began marching towards the shuttles with other B1 Battle Droids, "Move in!"
A squad of stormtroopers left the shuttle as they cocked their blasters with a stormtrooper commander leading them, "Is that what I think it is?" One of the stormtroopers asked the commander as he lowered his blaster.
"Greetings. I am unit B1-268," B1-268 said as he and the other Battle Droids approached the stormtroopers, "My commander has sent me to report your intentions."
"Yeah. Clone Wars battle droid," the stormtrooper commander said, confirming the suspicion of the stormtrooper next to him, "Surprised its battery hasn't run out."
"Um, are we…" B1-268 muttered.
"Don't see many of these anymore," the stormtrooper added.
"Oh, no," the stormtrooper commander said, agreeing with him, "And when you do, there's usually a bunch of them. All right, you know the drill."
"Greetings," B1-268 said before being blasted by the stormtrooper next to the commander as the rest of the stormtroopers blasted all of the droids except for the one in the back.
"Oh my go…" the final battle droid began to scream as he ran in a circle only to be cut off as a AT-AT stomped on him, destroying the droid as another AT-At stood next to the walker as a gozanti-class cruiser deployed two AT-PDs in the distance.
"I think we face a common enemy now," Ezra said as she walked forward.
"Ah, wait a minute!" Rex began to interject.
"Let her finish, Captain," Kanan said as he placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Clones? Battle droids?" Ezra went on as she turned around as she took her helmet off and placed it between her arm and her side, "You destroyed each other. And when you were both weak enough, the Empire took over. General, what were the Separatists fighting for?"
According to my programming, freedom from the tyranny of the Republic," Kalani answered.
"Hmm, fighting tyranny," she mused, "Sounds like the Empire has always been your enemy."
"You are against the Empire. I am against the Republic. Now the Republic has become the Empire," Kalani declared, "I accept your logic. We are on the same side."
"Sorry," the Battle Droid guarding Zeb apologized to Zeb.
"I guess we are," Rex said as he took his Phase II clone helmet off and placed it between his arms and his side.
"However, as I stated, my forces are too depleted for me to plan a successful counterattack," Kalani reminded them.
"Fighting insurmountable odds? We can help you with that," Kanan told him.
"Yes, Chopper we know the Empire is here, how's the shuttle coming?" She replied to Chopper on her wrist's comlink who grunted agitatedly.
"Shuttle? What shuttle?" Kanan inquired.
"The one I tried to tell you about earlier," she explained.
"We have three Sheathipede-class shuttles, but they have no weapons," Kalani told them as a holoprojection of the hangar appeared on the holotable in front of him within the command center with three neimoidian escort shuttles appearing on the holoprojection.
"No, but they can get us outta here," Kanan suggested.
"A successful retreat is improbable," Kalani dismissed, "The walkers will destroy the ships before they escape the hangar."
"We don't have the firepower to take on walkers," Rex added.
"What about the bombs we came here for?" Kanan asked the Super Tactical Droid.
"We have no cannon to fire the shells," Kalani answered, "Otherwise, I would have used them on you."
"Oh, thanks," Kanan said, crossing his arms.
"We're running out of time!" Ezra said.
"Ah, we roll 'em!" Rex suggested, "The proton bombs. We roll 'em across the hangar and into the feet of the walkers. Then we blast 'em!"
"My battle droids are not accurate," Kalani said before turning to Kanan, "However, you are, Master Jedi."
"I don't understand," Kanan said with confusion.
"My droids will line and fire at you and your apprentice. You two will then redirect their blaster bolts towards the shells more accurately, thus setting off more targets than my droids could hit alone," Kalani explained as he projected the pan on the holoprojector.
"Well, this takes trust to a whole new level," Rex stated
Kanan sighed as he took his comlink out, "Chopper, get the munitions ready to roll."
"Ready, Zeb?" Rex asked Zeb as they hid nearby as Zeb hid near the crane that Ezra pulled down earlier with Battle Droids hiding with him, "One last glorious day in the Grand Army of the Republic."
"Chopper, have the shuttle ready to go!" Ezra told Chopper as they stood across from Rex.
"D-squad, get ready!" Kanan told a bunch of Battle droids as Rex hid behind a crate with the proton bombs in the distance on the hangar floor.
"I have never attempted such a desperate strategy," Kalani told Rex.
"That's why we always won," Rex stated.
"Not always," Kalani corrected him.
"Hey, guys, focus on the present," Ezra told them.
"Once those shells explode, get to your shuttles," Zeb told the Battle Droids he was hiding with.
"Roger, roger," both Battle Droids replied as Zeb got up and threw a thermal detonator at one of the AT-DPs which beeped as it landed beside the walker before exploding, causing the AT-D to lose its balance as it began to fall to the ground. After the detonator exploded as the AT-DP walked around, Zeb joined the battle and crouched as he fired his bo-fire at the AT-DP as droidekas rolled ahead before entering battle position as they fired upon the AT-DP, which an AT-AT saw and turned it's head towards them and began firing upon them.
"Now!" Rex cried as he pulled one of his DC-17 blasters out and as this happened four Battle Droids began to push the four proton bombs forward, letting them roll forward.
"Fire," Kalani ordered his droid forces as the B1 Battle droids began to open fire with their E-5 blaster rifles at the Jedi and as Kalani suggested before the battle, they used their lightsabers to deflect their blaster bolts towards the proton bomb, causing it to explode as one of the AT-AT's feet stepped behind the proton bombs, causing it to tumbled down on it's side as it began to fall onto its side.
"This might be our only chance," Ezra said, "Get to the ships!"
Kanan, Ezra, Rex and Chopper ran onto one of the Neimoidian escort shuttles as Zeb fired his bo-rifle at the Imperials as he slowly backed into the shuttle as the Battle droids and Kalani ran into the other two Neimoidian escort shuttles.
"I made it! I made it!" one of the B1 Battle Droids cheered as he jumped onto the shuttle he approached as it lifted off with it's ramp closing as well as its door before falling off the ramp onto the ground below.
"Lead shuttle, bank right!" Rex warned the shuttle leading them as he had his helmet off as he began piloting the shuttle he and the specters were in, "Bank right!" The AT-AT in front of them fired upon the lead shuttle, destroying it as it flew to the ground after skidding across the side of the AT-AT as the other two shuttles flew away.
"We made it!" Ezra said with relief as she stood in the back of the shuttle with Kanan, Zeb, Rex and Chopper standing beside her, "General, do you read us?"
"Affirmative. We have survived the battle," Kalani said as a hologram of him appeared before them, "It was not a victory, but a successful strategy nonetheless."
"No, it was a victory," Rex corrected the Super Tactical Droid, "We all just won the Clone War, and you ended it, Ezra. A galaxy full of senators couldn't do that. An army of Jedi, clones and droids couldn't find the middle ground, but you did."
"Rex, all I did was point out that none of you were meant to win," Ezra told him as Rex placed his hand over her shoulder for a second, "You couldn't.
"And we needed to hear it," Rex added.
"Agreed. I am satisfied if you are, Captain," Kalani told them.
"I am," Rex stated.
"Very good. Now, based upon this battle, I calculate that you have less than a one percent chance of staging a successful rebellion against the Empire, so this is where we must part ways," Kalani told them.
"Roger, roger," Ezra said, saluting Kalani as the hologram of the Super Tactical Droid dissolved, "I can't imagine fighting that many battle droids all the time."
"Well, if you think that was bad, let me tell you about the First Battle of Geonosis or the worst Battle of the Clone Wars, the Battle of Umbara, where a rogue Jedi made us clones turn against each other before we killed him."
"This is Ghost to away team," Hera suddenly spoke on Kanan's comlink as the shuttle began approaching the Ghost in space and above Agamar, "Specter-1, are you there?"
"Hera, I was just about to call you," Kanan said as he took his comlink out, "How was your day?"
"We're tracking two shuttles leaving the system," Hera told him on the comlink, "Is everything all right? Did you have trouble securing the bombs?"
"Well, the bad news is, we didn't get the bombs," Kanan answered on the Ghost's comm as Sabine sat in the Ghost's copilot seat in the cockpit, "The good news is, we don't need a pickup because we found a new Phantom. Tell Sabine she's gonna need a paint job," Kanan added on the comm as the shuttle flew past the Ghost before jumping into Hyperspace with the Ghost following.
Please favorite and review. Would you like me to continue adding the Imperial scenes or not? This was possibly the very first episode of Rebels that I watched, I forgot if it was or not. If you did not know, Jaro Tapal that Kalani mentioned was the Master of the protagonist of the video game Jedi Fallen Order, Cal Kestis. Also, how should I have the scene of when Ezra and Gar Saxon meet in the next chapter? Should I have her get a jetpack in that chapter as well or later on, like on Mandalore or Krownest?
