I know that I just did a FloraxHelia story but I have had a FloraxRiven story in my head that I was thinking about expanding into a full fledged story. So for this collection, I am just going to do a scene and please let me know if you like it and I might go through with the whole story. So if things are a little confusing, that is because I have a whole story surrounding this one scene.
Thank you for all of your kind feedback and I have an idea of how I want to proceed with the whole BloomxBrandon relationship from chapters 22 and 26. So stay tuned for that. I also have a story that I am a little afraid to post because it is a couple that literally NOBODY ASKED FOR but I thought that it would be...interesting (?) to include them haha.
Anyways, on with the story...
Flora and Riven- Fugitive
Flora was sleepless as she paced the small living room of her Magix apartment. The night was alive with the sound of traffic and the bright city lights dotting the night sky. The stars disappeared from the night sky as Flora made her way to the balcony.
The spring air hit her skin with a sudden chill and she wrapped her blush colored cardigan around her body, shrouding herself in the warmth. The smell of lavender filled her nose and she tried her best to stay calm.
She told him not to go but he didn't listen. But why would he? He was a stubborn, stupid, and impulsive man. But she loved him and she wanted him to come back alive, even if he didn't love her back.
Sirens could be heard in the distance and Flora's heart began to race. They were coming from the east and she knew that is where Riven said he would be; where they all would be. Her pacing on the balcony became erratic, the steady beat of her bare feet on the concrete becoming irregular.
The wail of the sirens grew louder and louder. The horns of cars in the city began to blare one by one or even two by two She didn't dare walk inside and turn on the news because she was terrified of what had just transpired. However, despite her best efforts, her feet carried her over to the small sofa and turned on the old TV passed down to her by her father.
Magix in Crisis the news banner read underneath the evening news anchor. Flora could barely understand the words coming out of her mouth other than "casualties", "mayhem", "bloodbath", and "manhunt" register in Flora's racing mind. She wants to throw up but she has forgotten how to breathe as the city air becomes thick and her apartment is suffocating.
He has to be okay, she repeats like a mantra in her head, he has to be okay. But the sirens grow deafeningly loud and Flora wants the ground to swallow her, even if she is on the third floor. But the sounds of the city did not stop and the ground was just as sturdy as it had been everyday and Flora was left waiting for any kind of news. He said if he made it, he would go to Musa's. Flora did her best to control her heavy breathing, doing her best to focus on the positive.
Neither Musa nor Orlando had messaged letting Flora know that Riven was okay. The uncomfortable feeling of needing to vomit came surging to the back of Flora's throat. He would have been there by now. Unless...
Flora ran to her bathroom and threw herself over the porcelain toilet, feeling every possible fluid exit her body. She was thankful that she had eaten hours ago but now the pure acid burned her throat as it kept coming up. She didn't think that she had that much in her.
Her legs trembled as she finished and her head was spinning as she flushed away the disgusting bile. Tears fell from her eyes, from vomiting and from the realization that there was still no message from Musa or Orlando. She fell to the cold floor, a sweat on her brow and her skin warm to the touch. Flora leaned her head onto the toilet, taking a moment to relax. But when she relaxed, the thoughts of Riven lying on the streets of Magix, dead, filled her head.
She wanted to throw up again but there was nothing in her except tears so she just cried. She looked down at her phone once more, willing something, anything, to pop up on the small screen. When the phone was silent, Flora threw her phone against the wall, the screen cracking, and pulled her knees to her chest.
It wasn't supposed to be like this. All she wanted was to live a fun and quiet life in the city and then he came. Back into Musa's life and he crash landed into hers. He made everything so difficult and Flora never thought that she would have found herself in the situation that she was in right now.
Death was familiar to Flora. She worked at her home hospital in Linphea and she had seen countless people die. However, they were all from natural causes, but that didn't make the sting of loss hurt even less. But despite all the death she had seen and witnessing grieving families, Flora felt her heart shatter just entertaining the possibility that Riven was dead.
No, she wouldn't think like that.
Pulling herself from the cold bathroom floor, Flora turned on the sink faucet and grabbed her toothbrush. It was bad enough she was worried sick, she wouldn't have the lingering taste in her mouth. Putting toothpaste on her toothbrush, she began to brush her teeth.
She looked at herself in the mirror, her eyes red and her lips and nose swollen from crying. Her hair was a mess as she hastily threw it up before throwing up. Flora scoffed to herself and rolled her eyes as she looked at herself.
As she spit and rinsed her mouth, from the corner of the room, Flora could hear her phone ping. She threw her toothbrush down on the sink, turned off the water, and dashed to her phone. It was Musa.
-Have you heard anything from Riven?
Flora's heart sank.
-No. Is he not with you?
Only a minute passed before Musa's next text came in and it had seemed like a lifetime.
-I'm so sorry, Flora.
She felt numb. The world seemed to fade and the cacophonous sounds of the city ceased to blare into her ears. Walking back into the living room, phone in hand, Flora sank down to the small sofa. She should have screamed, cried, ripped her hair out. But all she did was stare ahead at the blank television, catatonia beginning to take over.
Musa tried to call her, but she ignored them. Flora knew that Musa was calling to make sure that she was okay. But Flora knew that the only way that she would be okay is if she heard news that Riven was safe. She didn't care where he was, just that he was alive and safe.
Picking up her phone, Flora sent Musa a message.
-I really don't want to talk right now. Please, leave me alone.
There was a ping shortly after.
-Let me know if you need a friend.
Musa knew about her feelings for Riven. Musa had become her first friend when Flora had moved to Magix for a fresh start. She and Orlando had basically taken her in and Flora was finally starting to feel at home. Until Riven came into her life like a fog, clouding her senses and making her second guess everything that she thought she knew about Magix, people, and love.
He was rude when they had met, but the more that she had gotten to know him, the more that Flora felt herself slowly falling for him. He could be sweet when he wanted to be and he cared about those who he loved...well, who he tolerated. But why did he have to be so impulsive? So passionate? So...stupid?
Flora clutched her phone and held it tight to her chest.
"Please," Flora pleaded though she didn't know to what or who, "please please please be okay."
She looked back down at her phone, rechecking to see if Musa's text really were what she thought they were. Maybe she read them wrong? But when she looked them over, once, twice, three more times before she slipped down onto her sofa and placed her head on the arm rest.
Flora couldn't help but to let out a scream. He was gone. She would never get the chance to tell him how she felt. But maybe that was for the better. Why would he like someone as meek and insignificant as her? He would laugh in her face, tell her that she was ridiculous.
Tears ran down her cheeks and her chest heaved as she tried her best to control her breathing. Her body was heavy and her throat was tight. She hadn't had a panic attack in years but the thought of losing Riven was too much to bear. He owed her nothing but he said he would come back.
There was a knock on her door, but Flora ignored it. Probably just a neighbor who heard her scream. While she wasn't close to her neighbors, they were good people and she imagined the mother from down the hall was worried. However, the knock sounded too urgent.
"Please," Flora called out to the door, "just go away."
The knock was louder, "Flora," she sprang upright onto the couch, "open the door."
Flora ran over to the door and swung it open, revealing a disheveled, blood stained Riven.
"Oh my God!" Flora couldn't contain her joy and disbelief.
Riven walked into the small apartment that seconds before felt so dark and cold. Flora shut the door behind him but was too shocked to say anything else.
"I know that we agreed that I would go ta Musa and Orlando's but...there was a change of plans. I hope that it is okay that I hide out here for a while, I'll be gone in the mornin'. Flora? Are you cryin'? I can leave but I got a million cops out there-"
"I thought that you were dead." Flora could now feel the tears streaming down her face. The overwhelming relief taking over her body. He was alive and he was here.
"Gonna take a lot more than a shoot out ta take me out, princess." Riven smirked as he took the glock out of his waistband and unloaded the clip, the bullets hitting the hardwood floor of Flora's apartment. He pulled out the box of cigarettes from his pockets and placed the thin stick of rolled tobacco between his lips, blood staining the brown filter.
Flora walked over to Riven and slapped him, ignoring the trace of blood that now stained her hand. The cigarette flew out of Riven's mouth and he looked from the cigarette on the floor to Flora's furious expression.
"Do you think that this is a joke?!" Flora's green eyes were filled with rage, "Do you have any idea what I have been through this night? What Musa has been through? And you are smirking and making jokes!?"
"Flora, I-"
"I have never been so scared in my entire life! I thought that you were dead! I thought that I would never see you again! I told you not to go and you went anyways! Do you not know how much you mean to me?!"
"I am right here, Flora. I ain't goin' anywhere."
Flora charged forward and threw her arms around Riven, planting her lips onto his and holding on for dear life. Maybe she was just trying to make sure that he was real. But if he were real, why was he not pushing her away. She had to be dreaming. He had to be dead. But it felt so real, was she dead too?
However, when his arms wrapped around her back and pulled her closer to him, he was too warm. He really was alive and he was holding her, not pushing her away or breaking the kiss. Riven's mouth moved against hers as she poured in all the emotions that she fell during that night. The worry, the dread, the panic, the pain, the love she felt for the maroon haired man.
His breath was minty with the faint taste of smoke lingering. She told him that it was a nasty habit.
Wrapping her legs around Riven's sturdy torso, Flora began to run her fingers through his hair. Moans escaped her mouth as his hands lowered to cup her ass to help support her weight. He walked them over to the small sofa, sitting down while she straddled his lap and held his face in her hands. The blood smeared across his olive hued skin and stained Flora's fingertips.
"Flora..."
Riven finally broke away from the kiss, panting as he looked into Flora's bright green eyes and tracing her face down to her swollen lips. He couldn't trust that this kiss was genuine. She was afraid and she was releasing the pent up emotions onto him.
"Please," Flora looked into his violet eyes, "please, Riven."
"Ya don't understand. You're afraid and," he sighed, "ya don't want me. I ain't good for ya."
"I don't care. I want you." Flora caressed Riven's face. "I love you."
"You don't mean it."
"Don't tell me that I don't mean it." Flora furrowed her brow, "I know that I am small, plain and insignificant. I am not like the beautiful and fascinating women in your world and I spend more time with my plants than I do with people. You think that you aren't good for me but I am afraid that I am not good for you."
Riven grabbed Flora's hands and held them up so that she could see them, "Do ya not see your hands, Flora? They are covered in blood and it ain't mine. I don't know how many people I killed tonight. Five? Ten? If I were to be caught, I would be locked up and the key thrown into the deepest pits of Hell where I would return to when I finish rotting away in my cell. If I am not caught, the next place you would see me is on a metal slab in the morgue. You deserve so much more than someone like me."
"Riven, I love you."
"You shouldn't."
"But I do. Tell me you don't love me and I will wash my hands and go to bed. Tell me that you don't want me and I'll find a way to move on and I won't bother you again."
Riven ran his fingers through Flora's hair. She placed a small hand over his, feeling the warmth of his skin and the rough calluses of his fingertips on her cheek. Flora closed her eyes and leaned into his touch. Savoring the feeling, fearing that it would be the last time that she would feel his skin on hers.
"I don't want to see you get hurt." Riven sighed.
"Nothing could hurt me more than you pushing me away, Riven."
"My world is dangerous."
"I know." Flora placed a soft kiss on his fingertips.
"And I don't know if I can protect you."
Her lips trailed to Riven's wrist where she placed another kiss, "I can take care of myself."
"I don't think I could forgive myself if anythin' were to happen to you." Riven exhaled as he watched Flora move her hands down to the zipper of his black jacket. She unzipped the jacket and shrugged it off of his shoulders, revealing a black t-shirt and his tattooed covered arms.
"I am an adult and I can make my own decisions. And I choose you, Riven and everything that comes with you. That is, if you will have me."
Riven pulled down Flora's head, her lips falling onto hers. Flora relaxed on top of his lap as she melted into the kiss. She gripped the hem of his shirt, pulling up the soft fabric. They broke apart long enough for Flora to remove his shirt and throw it over to the corner of the living room.
"Flora...God I want ya." Riven groaned as he quickly pulled down Flora's cardigan off of her shoulders and lifted her white tank top over her head. She was left in her light pink bra and green pajama shorts.
Reaching behind her back, Flora unclasped her bra, the cool air of her apartment hitting her bare breasts.
"Wow..." Riven felt like a teenager again, seeing breasts for the first time. They were perfect and she was showing them to him. Flora blushed as she fought the urge to cover herself back up. "Don't even think about it."
Riven brought his mouth to the top of Flora's chest, just underneath her clavicle, and placed a tender kiss on her skin. The blood on his skin must have dried as there was no trace of it on her skin. Riven was pleased, never wanting to see blood on her body. His lips followed an invisible path down her chest and to her sternum, skipping over the soft flesh of her breasts.
Flora moaned as Riven's hands settled on the dips of her waist, wordlessly begging for Riven to move to her breasts. She rolled her hips into his, feeling the growing erection under his jeans.
"Ya gotta stop that or I don't think that I am going to be able to control myself." Riven grunted as he dug his fingers into Flora's hips, hoping that it would stop the movements on his lap.
"What if I don't want you to?"
Tan hands reached down and traced the ridges of Riven's abdominal muscles down to the waistband of his jeans. Riven concluding that her warm hands felt much better in his waistband than the cold metal of a firearm.
Riven shot up to his feet, carrying Flora up with him.
"Riven, what-"
"I ain't gonna make love to ya on a fuckin' couch, princess." Riven scoffed as he placed another kiss on Flora's lips.
"Stop calling me that." Flora scolded but soon yelped as she felt her back hit the soft mattress.
Riven crawled over Flora, his violet eyes looking into hers.
"Then what should I call you?" Riven asked as he began to place kisses on her neck, nipping at the tan skin.
Flora gasped, "My name."
"I don't think so, princess." Riven growled into her ear, "What about sugar?"
He placed another kiss on her neck.
"Sweetheart?"
A kiss on her chest.
"Flower?"
A kiss on her left breast.
"Darlin'?"
A kiss on her right breast.
"Love?"
Flora moaned as she felt his lips on her skin. She cradled his head in her hands as he took her nipple into his mouth and began to suck. Flora was unable to respond as she felt Riven take her in her mouth. She barely even noticed that Riven had rid her of her shorts and underwear until she felt cool air hit her ass.
She gasped as she felt his hands land on top of the mound between her legs. His finger dipped into the slick folds and began to rub at the small nub at the top. Flora arched her body into his, begging Riven for more.
"Riven..." Flora huffed, "please. I want you...oh...ah...I want..."
"What do you want, princess?" Riven smirked against Flora's lips.
She was too far gone to protest at the pet name that she hated. Flora wanted, no needed, all of Riven. Her hands began to fumble with the button of his dark jeans and made quick work of the zipper.
"Use your words." Riven growled as his mouth moved to nip at the skin of Flora's neck. When he pulled away, he could see the red mark on her light brown skin, knowing that it would be purple in the morning. His fingers still rubbed at the sensitive clitoris, wet with Flora's arousal.
"Riven, I need you to fuck me."
"Need?"
Flora lifted up onto her arms and glared at Riven. Her hair was a mess and her cheeks were flushed.
"I am not going to beg for it, Riven. I am not going to-"
Riven placed his lips on hers, "I am just messin' with ya, princess."
Flora's face flushed, "But I do need you. I want you to make love to me. Fuck me. Whatever you want to call it. I just want to be with you."
Riven's hand moved from between Flora's legs and pulled down at his pants. Tugging the rest of his clothes off of his body, Riven was now as nude as Flora. She couldn't help but look down at his hard member and licked her lips as they suddenly became dry.
"Nervous?"
"No, I...I..."
"You what?" Riven smiled as he brushed back Flora's hair.
Flora tried to look anywhere but Riven's face.
"I...I've never done this."
Riven pulled back slightly, Flora's confession coming as a shock. He fell for her because she was not like the women that he usually associated with. She was kind, selfless, and innocent. But he didn't think that she was that innocent. Riven reckoned that she was a virgin by choice as he would have done anything to get into her pants and he was certain that any other guy who met her would feel the same way.
"If you don't want to anymore, I understand." Flora quietly remarked.
"No no no," Riven snapped back to reality, "I guess that I am just shocked. Are you sure that you want your first time to be with me? I mean, there are far better people than me for you to-"
"I want to...with you." Flora reached up to caress Riven's face. "Do you want to with me?"
"Fuck, Flora. Ya know I do."
"And Riven," Flora's green eyes became dark again as she reached down and wrapped her hand around Riven's cock, "Don't be gentle."
Crashing his lips onto Flora's, Riven took his hard cock back into his hand began to rub the tip against Flora's dripping pussy. Her entrance was slick with want and Riven fought the urge to cum right then and there.
"Are you ready?" Riven asked, giving Flora one last out before he continued.
"Yes, Riven. Please..."
Riven pushed forward and broke through Flora's entrance. He groaned as his dick was enveloped in Flora's tight center. God she was tight. He knew enough about the female anatomy to know that the "tightness" of a woman was not dependent on the amount of sex that she had but Riven would like to think that she was tight just for him.
Flora's back arched up to Riven's as she felt him slowly fill her up. She had never felt a sensation like this before. She had masturbated plenty of times, but it had never felt like this before. He was warm and the feeling of his body on hers was something that could not be replicated.
"Are you okay?" Riven asked as he reached the end of his length, the tip hitting Flora's cervix.
"Yes, please. Go on." Flora replied through an exhale.
Riven began to move his hips slowly and Flora began to relax as she felt Riven move within her. The more that she relaxed, the better everything felt. A soft moan escaped her lips as Riven continued to move in and out of her.
"Faster." Flora commanded and Riven was more than happy to oblige.
His lips began to move faster and faster and his thrusts became harder. Riven could feel the tightness of his eminent release become stronger. It began to overwhelm him but he would not come undone until Flora had. Riven was determined to make this night about her despite the disastrous events that led to their current predicament.
"Feels so good." Flora moaned, "Riven, you feel..."
Riven grunted as his hips moved, Flora becoming tighter around his penis. Her nails began to dig into his back, surely leaving marks in their path.
"Fuck, princess," Riven growled, "...shit..." He was never a man of many words but right now, he was damn near mute. Pleasure being the only thing on his mind.
"Don't stop, Riven! Don't stop! Don't stop! Don't stop! Oh!"
Tears began to leak out of Flora's eyes and her brows furrowed as pain turned into pleasure.
Riven trailed wet and hot kissed down Flora's body as he continued thrusting into her. She would surely have marks all along her body but they would worry about the scratches on his body and the marks on hers in the morning.
"You're so beautiful." Riven said through pants. His hands moved to her face and began to wipe the tears from her face. "Do you want me to stop?"
"No," Flora's eyes shot open, "don't you dare! You just feel so...OH!..."
Her walls quickly tightened around Riven's cock and Flora lurched up and dug her teeth into Riven's shoulder, muffling her cries of ecstasy.
Hissing through the pain of Flora's teeth in his skin, he had felt worse but the mixture of pain and extreme pleasure sent his mind into a tailspin. Feeling Flora tighten around his cock, Riven focused all of his energy into fucking Flora. Flora screamed as she tried to come down from her orgasmic high but found herself lost in the fog as Riven continued. That was until he finally sent one last thrust into her, his hips stilling and she soon felt warmth filling her.
Riven collapsed on top of Flora as he breathed through his climax. He had fucked plenty of women throughout the course of his life, but never had it felt as intense as it had with Flora. Was it because he actually had feelings for her?
Fingers began to rub up and down his back as he struggled to catch his breath. He wanted to move off of her, knowing that he must feel so heavy on top of her. But he couldn't move and the soft touch of her fingertips along his back made moving that much harder. Her breath hit his neck and Riven reckoned that he could stay in this position for the rest of his life.
Flora felt Riven slide out of her, the fullness leaving her body. His hard body against hers was comforting, even if she found it harder to breathe. However, the warmth of Riven soon lessened as he rolled off of her, leaving her body feeling light and the cool air hitting her skin.
She rolled onto her side to look at Riven and place a soft kiss to his cheek, "Thank you."
"Flora," Riven inhaled, "I think that I should be the one thanking you."
Flora smiled as she leaned forward and met Riven's lips for a kiss. They would have to talk about what happened earlier that night and deal with the consequences of his actions. Figure out where he would go and what their story would be. She would have to tell Musa and Orlando that Riven was safe. But for now, she didn't want to think of what Riven had done or who he had sent to the land of the dead. She just wanted the man in her bed, to imagine that he wasn't a killer and that they were just like any young couple navigating the messy world of being in love.
The harsh realities of the world around them could wait until morning. For now, all that mattered was the safety of Riven's embrace and the distant noises of the city.
Well that is a little snippet of what I was thinking of expanding into an actual story with an actual plot that will make all of this make sense. Let me know if you would like the full story at some point.
I hope to have some more stories up soon, I have a LOT of ideas which is why it took me a while to upload. Stay tuned!
