Later on that night

Brooke was pleasently surprised to get a text from Lucas. She jumped out of bed and left her bedroom. When the text instructed her meet him on the front porch of her home.

She pulled on her red robe and slippers. Checked in on Lilly and Al before making her way down the stairs and towards the entryway of the home.

Brooke smiled happily at the sight of Lucas as she let him inside.

She could tell just from the look on his face that something was wrong.

"Talk to me." She said. Closing and locking the front door behind him.

Lucas sighed deeply. Staring at her.

The expression on his face softening.

"I shouldn't of come back here. Me being gone did more damage then good. I just re enter my life expecting nothing to have changed. When everything has. I'm basically a stranger to my kids. It's been almost a year i was gone. They all were affected by that. Especially Lilly."

"She's dating some boy. Pushing boundaries she knows isn't allowed because she's rebelling wanting and needing attention that i wasn't capable of giving her. I know she hid from you. The only reason i know now is because Al recalled what he saw when he went looking for her. Because i was reckless and selfish. I'm failing at this. Being their dad."

"I don't know what i'm supposed to do now. They deserve so much better. And i'm so fucked up. I couldn't stand it. If they ended hating me like i hate Dan. I'm sorry for coming here. For never being enough or deserving of you. I just. I'm going to go." Lucas said. His voice breaking with emotion.

Tears falling from her eyes as she looked to him.

"What is going on.? Lucas. Luke just stay here with me tonight. Whatever is going on. We'll figure it out in the morning. Please you can't just go." Brooke pleaded.

"I have too. I love you." Lucas replied. Kissing her hard. Before he turned from her and rushed out the home.

Brooke ran out the door. Only to see his car. Speeding down the street in the darkness.

Hours Later

In the morning

After sending multiple texts and calling more times then she could count. Without a response. Brooke stopped reaching out. She was consumed with worry and concern. But she put on a brave face. Taking the kids to school. Before she went to her store. Where she could pace. Worry. And reach out to him until he picked up on her fingers went numb.

When she arrived at her store. She was taken aback by the police officers that were awaiting her.

"What exactly is going on here.?" Brooke asked. Looking to the officers.

"Lucas Scott has been reported as missing. By a Rachel Gatina. He was supposed to pick up their son. And never showed up or reached out which is not the usual behavior for him. And their close co parenting relationship." One of the officers said.

"We are reaching out to you were able to locatte his cellphone and you're number was the last one he contacted." The partner said.
