It started out as a peaceful day, but that quickly escalated into a day of mayhem and destruction. Steeljaw and his group were back. They appeared out of a strange looking space bridge portal. Apparently they got pardoned by a group on Cybertron and all they had to do was go back to Earth and retrieve Bumblebee and his team. The damage to the scrapyard because of the fight was very bad and Denny, Russel and Paige as well as the Autobots were forced to flee. They made their new home in a cave system. Denny was depressed about losing the scrapyard and his home. Paige could completely sympathize with him now that she was stuck back in a cave. She truly wished she had seen this coming.
"Steeljaw said he had partners back on Cybertron," said Paige to Bumblebee. "I'm trying to remember what happened. It's either the Council that's under the Con's control or it's something else."
"We can't just sit here," said Bumblebee pacing. "We need to go on the offensive."
While the bots were out, an old man wearing a metal hat wandered into the cave and saw Fix-it. Denny and Russel immediately intervened by pretending to be miners with a robot. Surprisingly, the man believed them. Paige had managed to hide in the shadows as she was already a foot taller than Denny. Sure the guy might think she's just really tall, but she preferred to avoid any questions.
"How are you doing?" Paige asked Denny as she sat down next to him.
"I really would rather be at the scrapyard," he replied sighing.
"I understand," said Paige. "I should apologize for not warning you, but I didn't remember that part. Still, the Autobot's bases have always had a history of being destroyed so I should have expected it. It's easy for the bots to live anywhere since they're metal. They tend to forget that humans have different needs. I lived in a cave for a while when I first met the Autobots and it was extremely uncomfortable. I was lucky I even survived."
"It sounds like you had it worse," said Denny sympathetically.
Paige shrugged. "It differs for every person I suppose. I lost my real home a long time ago and I know I'll never be able to go back. You will see the scrapyard again. I can promise you that." She looked around the cave. "For now there are a few things we can do."
When Grimlock came back, they enlisted his help in digging so they could widen the cave system. This allowed for each bot to have their own area and reduced the conflicts between them. Denny and Sideswipe did a covert mission to pick up some things from the scrapyard while Paige erected a "keep out danger" sign in front of the caves.
"I can deal with this a little better," said Russel settling by the TV.
