Faith Hope Love Repeat pt.30
"What can I do?" Holly wondered.
"Well, you can start by getting your temper under control and show that you're actually sorry," Brian answered.
"Ok."
Crane and Brian left Holly to think and they saw Riley on the stairs crying.
"We hear you and Holly are mad at each other," Brian said.
"I don't want to be mad at her, but I don't want to get hurt anymore." Riley cried.
"I know. It's never easy. But eventually, you have to forgive her. Holly really is sorry and hopefully, she'll learn to control herself."
"I hope so too."
A couple of days later, Ford and Cleo were at school.
"I'll pick you up after class," Ford said. He kissed Cleo and walked to his class.
"That's your boyfriend?" A girl spat.
"What's wrong with him?" Cleo wondered.
"He looks so naive."
"Well, he isn't. Let's go to class, June."
The two went to class. After class, Cleo was walking to the parking lot when a couple of guys ran up.
"So, we hear you run your father's ranch." Mark sneered.
"Yes, I do. Excuse me, I'm late." Cleo answered and she tried to walk away.
"That's an awful big job for a girl like you," Caleb said.
"I can handle it just fine. I don't need any help."
"You say that now."
"Caleb, Mark, leave Cleo alone. She's my girl." Ford ordered as he walked over.
"Not anymore, McFadden." Mark hissed.
"Touch her and you'll pay for it. Cleo, walk away."
Cleo started to walk away and Ford walked after her. Mark and Caleb watched. SOon, Cleo and FOrd were in the truck.
"Oh, Ford, why can't they leave us alone?" Cleo wondered.
"I wish I knew the answer, but I don't. COme on, let's get back to the ranch. We have a lot of work to do." Ford sighed.
Brian and Sam sat under a tree watching the world go by.
"You know, I was thinking. I know your father is getting worse and I know you want to be with him as much as you can." Brian started.
"But I want to be with you." Sam answered.
"I know. I don't like your mother at all, but you need to spend time with your father. I was thinking that maybe we get married and then live at your house till your father dies. We won't get our house built for quite a while and I don't want to put anyone out. It means you can be with your father. I can drive here and back every day. You don't live too far."
"But it won't be easy living with my mother."
"I think I can handle it for a few months."
"Ok."
They kissed and Brian sighed.
"Just 9 more days." Brian sighed.
"And then forever." Sam finished.
The days went by fast for Brian and Sam. Soon, it was the day before the wedding. Everyone was busy getting everything ready for the next day. Daniel and Adam sat upstairs keeping the kids entertained.
"Am I the only one that feels like we got stuck in time-out with these guys?" Adam wondered.
"Maybe. I don't mind though." Daniel answered.
"Yeah."
Luke walked over and climbed onto the couch.
"I can't believe it's been over a year since... since Joseph died." Adam sighed. "And in several short days, it'll be Luke's birthday and the anniversary of Victoria's death."
"It's been a hard year," Daniel answered.
"Yeah. But's it's also been a good year."
Lakota and Sean yawned and Daniel smiled down at their cradles. Briana walked over and stood up so she could see into the cradles.
"Babies," Briana said.
"Yeah," Adam answered. "Babies."
Adam sighed and looked out the window.
"Henry says that it'll be a good two more weeks before he's finished with the renovations. Then he can finish Crane and Molly's house before winter sets in. Crane said that they start painting the house next week." Adam explained.
"Hey, he told me. Evan told me that they got the shelters built and that the animals are enjoying it." Daniel answered.
"They sure are."
Belle, Anne, and Callie walked up and started playing with the kids. Adam and Daniel watched as Callie, Belle, and Anne played with each other.
"Callie's a lot better now," Adam said.
"Are you going to keep her?" Daniel wondered.
"I think so."
Callie came over and rested her head on Adam's leg. Adam smiled and rubbed her back.
"I have to talk to Hannah," Adam said.
The next morning, everyone was up early getting ready for the wedding. James drove to Sam's house to get Jeb.
"I forbid you to go to that wedding," Irene stated.
"You can't stop me, Irene. This is our daughter's special day and I am going to walk her down the aisle. You have caused enough trouble." Jeb answered.
"She's making a mistake. She doesn't care about us. All she cares about is that McFadden."
"And she should. Today, they will get married and they will live out the rest of their days together. Not even you can stop that. Today, I am going to walk her down the aisle and I am going to watch her marry the man of her dreams."
There was a knock at the door and Irene opened it and saw James.
"I came to get Jeb," James said.
"He's not going. He's not going to watch our daughter make a fool of herself." Irene spat.
"Sounds to me like you're the fool. Not Sam."
Irene huffed and walked away. Jeb nodded at James and they went to the ranch. They walked into Daniel and Dakota's house and saw Sam almost ready. Jeb smiled at Sam and held her hands.
"You look beautiful. Brian is a very lucky man." Jeb said.
"Thank you, daddy," Sam answered.
Soon, everyone had arrived and Brian's nerves were getting the better of him. Adam walked over and straightened his tie.
"Will you stop messing with your tie? I just fixed it a minute ago." Adam sighed.
"Sorry," Brian answered.
"Everything will be just fine. Relax."
"I know. It's not me and Sam that I'm worried about. It's her mother."
"Well, you won't be alone in the having a controlling mother-in-law department."
"I know."
"Ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be."
"Good."
Adam smacked Brian's back and Brian left the room. Crane walked over and sighed.
"$20 says he bawls as soon as he sees Sam." Crane bet.
"Go mack a bet with someone dumber than me. I know he's gonna cry when he sees her." Adam answered.
"I don't even have a $20 bill to bet with."
They chuckled and walked outside.
Soon, everyone was in place. Jeb walked over to Sam and smiled.
"Ready?" Jeb wondered.
"I am," Sam answered. Jeb walked Sam down the aisle and Brian smiled happily. A few tears ran down his cheeks, but they were happy tears. Jeb handed Sam off to Brian and then sat down. Sam and Brian said their vows and soon, were married.
After the wedding, they went to the reception area and ate and then danced. Brian and Sam danced their dance and sighed.
"I wish my mother had been here to see all of this," Sam whispered.
"She made her choice," Brian answered. Sam looked at Brian and smiled.
"I love you so much, Brian."
"I love you so much, Samantha Rose."
They kissed and rested their foreheads together.
"Today is a precious day." Sam sighed. "I will never forget it."
"Neither will I." Brian whispered.
