Adam and Teela were getting ready to leave the courtroom when the Queen stopped them. "Where do you two think you are going?" They turned and saw Marlena, Randor, Duncan, and Adora coming towards them.

Adam could only think that he was in some sort of trouble with his mother. "We were going to celebrate, mother." Adam stated addressing the group.

"No you're not, young man." His mother started. "You have changed everything with that declaration you made. New plans must be made and announcements must be sent out to all the kingdoms. A celebratory ball needs to follow per protocols."

Teela could only feel anxious with thoughts of protocols and planning, she barely had enough time to keep up with all the duties of being Captain of the guard. She sighed and asked. "How am I supposed to keep track of everything and my duties as Captain?"

"You both will be assigned a Royal secretary, someone like I do, who will keep you updated constantly of your assignments and schedules." Marlena announced. "You are now a princess to be, Teela, and must have the appropriate resources."

'Princess to be' sounded so formal to Teela's ears. She looked to Adam and he hugged her tightly knowing she must be overwhelmed right now.

"Let's get started," said for the both of them. "The sooner we get done the sooner we can celebrate our engagement." Teela nodded and the group moved to the King's study.

After about an hour of finalizing all the people and kingdoms that should be sent announcements, the discussion of the engagement ball came about. "The harvest festival is in a week, could we hold it the next night?" Teela asked. She knew that people from all over the city were going to be there for the full day's events. There were going to be horse shows, wrestling bouts, parades, and carnivals all to celebrate the bountiful harvest of this year. Teela was hoping to go with Adam instead of working this time.

"That's a wonderful idea, my dear. Now we just need to finalize to whom we are inviting and get invitations sent out. Adam, Teela other than the major kingdoms who would you like to be there?"

Teela answered. "Some of the upper ranking guardsmen should be there and the Masters should be invited."

"Of course, He-man and She-ra should be there, your joining might not have happened without them." Randor ordered. "We will send an special messenger to Grayskull to invite them.

Adam tensed at that statement. He looked to his sister and she just shrugged. He looked at Teela and she whispered, "Sorry." Adam patted Teela's leg showing his understanding of her remorse. He-man would just have to figure out how to show up.

Being so close to dinner, the group dispersed to get ready. Adam took Teela to the gardens to be alone with her. When they were far enough out, Adam took her into his arms and kissed her. A quick, simple kiss. "I've been waiting to do that for hours." Adam said relieved from his frustrations.

"Mmmm, so have I." Teela replied then asked "Please tell me Adam, how did your secret happen."

"We will have all of tonight to talk my love, but for right know know that it happened on my 16th birthday." He answered her and then kissed her again.

The fire in her belly was burning again. "Adam we should stop kissing. I don't know if I can take much more."

"You're right. Just give me a few moments and we will go to dinner." Adam replied. He did not know how he was going to last a few months without touching her.

Dinner was a jovially event. Talks about how long their engagement would last and what date to get married were all brought up. Adam and Teela insisted on a short engagement so Man at Arms suggested the winter solstice as a possible wedding day. Everyone agreed an afternoon solstice wedding would be romantic.

The king and queen excused themselves saying the long day exhausted them and they were headed to bed for the night. Duncan looked at Adam and nodded to him. Then stated, "I'll be headed to my shop to work on that new experiment, unless you all would like to come see?"

"Yes that would be interesting." Adam said and stood up, he motioned for Teela to join him. So the trio followed Duncan to his workshop.

Teela felt at a loss, she wanted to spend time with Adam and Adora and learn more about their alter egos than tinker with her father's experiment. 'Nothing wrong with waiting a little bit longer.' She thought. When she arrived in the room all his tools were put away and nothing was on his worktop. "What's going on?" Teela said confused.

"This is the safest place to discuss our secret with you." Adam started. "You want to know the whole story, right."

"You knew!" Teela yelled at her father. "All this time and you knew. I can't believe it."

Duncan pleaded with his daughter. "Please forgive me, it was not my secret to tell." Teela looked to the twins their eyes showing regret.

"I understand. Now what?" Teela questioned.

"Now," Adam walked over to Teela and lifted her to sit on the worktop. "You listen and learn about the beginnings of He-man and She-ra."

Teela was exhausted physically and mentally by the time Adora finished telling her story. She couldn't believe the complexity of their secrets. She understood how Orko found out, he was always popping in and out of places. "Forgive me for all the things I've said to you over the years, Adam." Teela said in a sad tone.

"You've already been forgiven, my love. Now we have a new ally in keeping our secret." Adam kissed her soundly.

Duncan cleared his throat. "If you all don't mind it's late and this old man needs his sleep."

All of them headed to their rooms in the Royal wing.
