Hello, everybody! I had some time without coming here with one of my short stories, I hope you like it very much because it will be the end of this season, I think it's fair that Kurumi gets one, right?
I hope you can leave me a comment, without further ado, see you.
Shidou, Kurumi and the Cat Café
In front of him, sitting on one of the armchairs, those meows sounded like a song while eyes of blue, green and variations of that tone, watched him expectantly.
In fact, some of these cats were even sitting on one of the cushions, right next to this young man with short blue hair and brown eyes.
"Hmm... eh..." He opened his mouth a little to speak, but hesitated and closed his mouth for a few moments, hearing noise in the kitchen. "Kurumi? This... who is the new white kitten with green eyes... She's new, isn't she?"
Tokisaki Kurumi came out of the kitchen, with a wooden spoon in one hand, a white apron on top of her crimson dress and with her black hair tied in a ponytail.
"Hm? O-Oh, Anata (Dear), about that..." she said with a complicated smile. "Don't you think it's beautiful~?"
"Kuurumii..." Shidou turned his head to her to look at her with disapproval. "This is already cat number 7, my salary can't support more than 3... listen, I know you love cats and I like them too, they are cute and good companions, but..."
"B-But they need me…!" she replied with a gleam in her one visible eye, which was red. "I know, I'll have a clone of me go to work."
"Kurumi, that drains your life, denied!"
At his scream, the kittens next to him went to one side, except for the one lying on the couch with the blue fur.
"Ehh... I see, Anata, you really care about me," she said with a small smile and went with him quickly to wrap her arms around his neck. "Now~, think of the kittens as you think of me~."
"…" He was silent for a moment and ended up sighing. "You better think of something, put them up for adoption or something. Maybe Kotori wants one of these... just three, Kurumi."
"A-Anata... uuh..." She frowned a little and tightened his neck, Shidou put his hands over his arms and caressed them a little. "…! It's good. I'll think of something. By the way, the new kitten's name is Mina, don't you think she's cute?"
"Ah... sure, Kurumi." He smiled a little. "But before that, we have to think what to do, after all, I think we should keep Tiaki, Sota and Hime, they are your favorites and they came first, except for Hime."
"Hmm... I want to stay with everyone".
"Kurumi..."
"Jijiji."
Shidou and Kurumi left that conversation for during the meal, which was macaroni and cheese and iced tea, which they took time to enjoy together with some different pastel colored macaroni.
"I really like these things, they have such beautiful colors," said Kurumi as she took a pink one between two fingers. "They could easily serve as an ornament for how beautiful they are, don't you think?"
"That's true, the first time I tried these I think it was from a café" he said with a small smile and a slight nostalgia. "I didn't think much about it and ate it, haha."
"…!"
"Huh? Wasn't that funny...?" he asked as he scratched his cheek a little. "What's wrong with you?"
"I got it...!" She opened her eyes more and with a star in them, suddenly she stood up and put her hands with some strength on the table, Shidou opened his eyes more. "Anata, we'll put on a cat coffee! Coffee Meow-Meow!"
"... Coffee... Meow-Meow?"
"Hm? Do you have a nicer name to go with the theme of the site, Anata?" she asked slightly seriously and squinted her red eye a little.
"No... it's a nice name, I like it, I like it, but... Kurumi, do you know what it takes to do that...?"
"No, but I know that we need cats and we already have those, although the more, the better. And I have you, Anata~." Kurumi's smile was mischievous and extended, Shidou blushed slightly and sighed. "I know we need a lot of things, but you know exactly who we should call~."
"Okay... I'll talk to Kotori."
Ratatoskrs had to see for the good of the spirits, so with one call to Kotori, Kurumi got a large sum of money to start her cat coffee business, all for a quality of life for the spirits, in this case, her.
Kurumi also talked about the idea to her younger spirit friends, Natsumi flatly refused, but when she heard that Yoshino was willing to participate, she ended up accepting.
That almost solved the service part, since the place would be small, but Shidou couldn't be the only one who broke his back in the kitchen, so they also recruited people with culinary experience, however, who did the interviews was his wife.
So, when he met his companions, he was surprised to find that it was only one, she was a young woman in her twenties, although her face looked younger, with aquamarine blue eyes and long white hair.
"You only hired one person, Kurumi?!" He thought desperately as he smiled and greeted his partner, she returned the gesture.
"My name is Kanade, um... thank you very much for accepting me, and also Kuroha."
"Kuroha...? Is there anyone else?"
"Ah... it's my kitten, I told Tokisaki-san that I couldn't leave her alone and she accepted me and her, we'll make an effort!" she said with a nice smile and with enthusiasm, Shidou made a nervous smile.
"Kurumi..."
When he checked his partner's cooking skills, he realized that she would have a long way to go. Shidou thought that all this would be a failure and that he would have to apologize to Kotori for the money he wasted, but he did not count on his wife's cunning.
On the day of the café's inauguration, Shidou felt the pressure of not having a single break from cooking quickly, so much so that even Kurumi had to help him, as it was too much for just two in the kitchen.
And all this was because Miku Izayoi was on a 'date' with a fan and happened to have a date at the "Coffee Meow-Meow".
"Yes, of course". Shidou thought, it was too much of a coincidence.
Once home, Shidou was broken down, lying on the couch while Kurumi was counting the money for the day, sitting on the floor and using the living room table.
Ren was lying on top of the young man's belly, weighing more than six kilos, but Shidou no longer had the strength to get him off.
"Ahh... how much are you going?"
"...don't take my mind off it, but it's more than your salary, Jijiji." She smiled broadly and looked at him sideways, "I want to hear you say it, Mr. Worried."
"...ahhh... it's okay, I was wrong, the Coffee Meow-Meow is the best..."
"Hahaha. Yes, that's it, just like that~."
Shidou ended up smiling in a good mood while listening to the purring of the cat on top of him, caressed him softly and closed his eyes to relax. Now Tiaki, Sota, Hime, Ren, Mina, Hana and Shiro, the 7 cats, would have no problem continuing to live with them.
