"Let's find a place to hide out and compare notes. We have a lot of catching up to do."
Before anyone could respond, a group of soldiers came forward. "There they are!" One of them shouted. "Get them!"
"Let's get out of this town first," Carla said. "We're going to be caught at this rate!"
"Natsu!" Lucy smiled. "Hurry up and get them!"
"How?" Natsu asked, arms crossed.
"Using your magic, obviously," Lucy looked back at him. Natsu protested, saying he and Wendy couldn't use their magic.
Alex groaned. "Of course you can't," She said. Natsu was about to ask why they could use magic when Alex interrupted him. "No time for questions." She stood in front of the guards. " Get out of here while I distract them."
Erik pushed Alex behind him. "You should go with the others. I'll have a better chance of finding you later." He smirked. "Don't worry about me, Fairy Girl. I'm the Poison Dragon Slayer. They can't hurt me." Alex looked at him, concerned, but nodded. She pulled the others with her while Erik faced the guards. "Alright." His hands turned into claws, and his arms were covered in scales. He pulled his arms up and made a cross with them, forming a massive wall of poison. By the time it cleared, the guards were on the ground, and Erik was nowhere to be seen.
When they all regrouped, it was in the woods. "Those guards will be okay, right?" Natsu asked Erik, concerned. He knew just how dangerous Erik's poison could be.
Erik crossed his arms. "Don't worry; they'll only be unconscious for an hour tops.
"We should be okay after running this far, right?" Wendy asked, sitting beside Natsu.
"But how did you all get to Edolas?" Natsu asked.
"We were worried you had turned into lacrima, Lucy," Wendy added.
"Horologium and Mystogan saved me," Earthland Lucy said, smiling. "And since Slayer magic couldn't be pulled up, Alex and Erik here were safe. They came to help." She explained to them what had happened and how Horologium saved her.
"Mystogan?" Carla asked, surprised.
"So that means he's safe too?" Natsu asked.
Lucy nodded and continued her story. "He started to explain what was going on when Alex and Erik found us. When he sent us here, we set out to find Gajeel." Earthland, Lucy smiled. "Though I'm glad we were able to find you four first."
"I wonder why Mystogan-san knew about Edolas?" Wendy asked curiously.
"You knew him the best out of all of us," Natsu said, looking at Alex. "Who exactly is he?"
Alex shook her head. "Sorry, Natsu. But that's something you'll have to find out on your own." When he started to protest, she raised her hand. "Who he is isn't important right now. And it has nothing to do with what's happening right now."
"Why is it you all can use magic here, Lucy?" Happy asked.
"Hmm," Earthland Lucy thought about it. "Maybe it's because I'm like the legendary chosen warrior!" She said happily. "And these two are my faithful sidekicks!"
"Hey," Erik snarled. "I'm nobody's sidekick."
Alex chuckled and crossed her arms. "Let her have this," She advised. "It'll be over soon enough." Erik crossed his arms and glowered in silence.
"Honestly, I don't know," Earthland Lucy said, looking at the ground. She wasn't paying attention when Mystogan told them, Alex thought to herself. "If you can't use magic, Natsu, then we're going to be at a real disadvantage."
Alex smiled softly. "Don't forget, Erik and I have our magic too," She reminded them. "We'll make it through this."
"You people seriously plan to go against the Kingdom?" Edo Lucy demanded.
"Of course," Natsu said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Which, for Fairy Tail, it was.
"We'll do it for our friends!" Happy cheered.
Edo Lucy looked upset. "You can't even use magic for real, and you're fighting the kingdom?" She asked.
"Hey," Earthland Lucy stood up in protest. "Alex, Erik, and I can use it!" She grinned, determined. "Leave everything to Fairy Tail's (Currently) Strongest Team! I'm all fired up!"
Wendy cheered on Lucy while she posed for a little while to show how amazing she was. Alex chuckled while Erik scoffed.
Alex stood up. "Let's find a place to stay for the night," She suggested. "I'd like to get some sleep before we storm the Royal City."
Natsu and the others nodded in agreement. "I know where we can stay for the night," Edo Lucy said. She stood up and started walking. "Let's go." They followed Edo Lucy until they reached the town and went into a hotel. She paid for a suite for the night, and they went up to their room.
Natsu and Wendy sat on one couch while Alex and Erik sat on the other. "This is a map of Edolas I borrowed from the hotel," Wendy said, laying a map on the table. Alex leaned over it in interest.
"The geography isn't all that different from Earthland," Happy noticed.
"If you remember that some parts are floating higher than others," Alex agreed. "We should be able to find the City in no time."
"Edolas's Fairy Tail is here," Carla pointed to the map. "There was a frog around here that chased us; we ran into Lucy, Alex, and Erik in the city of Louen." She pointed to Sycca. And this is the city we're in now." She pointed to a different island. "And this is where the Royal City is."
"It's still pretty far away," Natsu said, worried. He crossed his arms and stared at the map.
"Plus, we have to be careful not to be discovered by the Royal Army," Wendy added. She looked up to Natsu. "How long will it take to get there?"
"Hey guys," Edo Lucy said. "Check this out." The team turned to see her in nothing but a towel. "She's the same as me!" She smiled. "Our bodies are identical!"
Earthland Lucy appeared behind her in a towel too. "Don't go prancing around in a towel!" She shrieked, embarrassed.
"Edo-Lucy-san, Natsu-san is here, you know!" Wendy shouted alarmed.
"Why should I care?" Edo-Lucy asked, relaxed.
"Care, damn it!' Earthland Lucy shouted.
"You're looking cheerful, Doublucy," Happy said, smiling.
"Are you proud of that joke?" Carla asked, annoyed.
Natsu looked at the two before he started laughing. "You guys shouldn't be taking a bath together," He chirped.
"You both look a lot alike," Wendy said, changing the subject.
"I couldn't believe we even have the same ass," Edo-Lucy sighed and patted her rear, eager for the change.
"Please stop it!" Earthland Lucy cried while Natsu started laughing.
"I bet you could do mirror acts and stuff!" Natsu smiled. The two Lucys responded with a swift 'No way!'
"They're like two peas in a pod," Wendy said.
Alex stood up and stretched. "Well, this has been fun, but I'm going to bed." She walked past the two Lucys and patted Edo-Lucy on the head. "Goodnight."
"Why are you patting her head?" Earthland Lucy demanded. "That's Edolas Lucy."
Alex smirked. "Is that right?" She asked. She patted Earthland Lucy's head. "Well, can't have you getting jealous, can we?" Alex laughed at the girl's disgruntled look. "See you all in the morning." She waved good night as she walked into her bedroom.
When she left the room, Edo-Lucy looked annoyed. "If she's the most powerful person you have right now, you're in trouble. How is she so tired, anyway? She's been here as long as you two have." She asked Erik and Earthland Lucy.
"Cut her some slack," Erik said, rolling his eyes. "She's pretty much been flying us around this world the entire time we've been here." He leaned back on the couch. "Not to mention she's choosing to stay in her demon form until we get home. It'll be best if she sleeps before anything important happens."
Edo-Lucy frowned thoughtfully. "You know, she does remind me of someone..." She shook her head. "Nevermind. They couldn't be the same person.
"You know," Happy said thoughtfully. "With two Lucys, it looks like Gemini is out."
"Oh, hey," Natsu said. "You're right."
"Gemini?" Edo-Lucy asked, confused. Lucy explained that one of her spirits could take on a person's form and retain their memories. She pulled out Gemini and demonstrated her magic. Now there were three Lucys.
Erik sighed and rubbed his face. "I think I know why Alex decided to call it a night early," He muttered.
"Do you think she knew this would happen?" Wendy asked.
Erik nodded. "And I think she wanted to avoid the headache. I know I wish I wasn't here right now," He said while Natsu tried to start a game show. "Three Lucys is infinitely more annoying than two."
"I heard that!' The Lucy triplets shouted simultaneously.
"You were meant to," the annoyed poison dragon slayer retorted back.
The next day
"So she left?" Alex asked Erik. She was eating some eggs and watching Lucy rant about her counterpart leaving a note.
"Yeah," Erik nodded. He looked to the demon girl. "But you probably already knew that, didn't you?" When Alex shrugged, he continued. "We didn't exactly come up with a plan, so what should we do?"
Alex stood up and stretched her arms. "I think we should head to the royal city. Gajeel should be there by now, and we don't have much time to waste."
Wendy nodded. "The note says if we walk east for three days, we'll get there."
"I thought she was going to help us!" Lucy complained. "What nerve!"
"She did help us, though," Alex said, crossing her arms. "Now, we know which way to go."
"We can't do anything about it anyway," Wendy added. "She said she wasn't going to fight from the start."
"What Edolus Lucy does isn't important," Erik said. He walked to the door. "We have guildmates to save. She has to worry about her guild. Let's get to the royal city. It's going to be a long walk."
"Erik is right, Lucy-san," Wendy smiled. She walked out the door with the other slayers and Lucy. "Let's go find out how to get to the Royal City." The group of Fairy Tail members walked out of the hotel and into town. Alex flew into the sky so she wouldn't get them caught.
"I just can't believe she left like that," Lucy sulked. She followed the others until she found a book store. "Hey!" She cheered. "Let's go in there. Maybe we'll find some useful information."
Erik rolled his eyes. "Go get your book," He leaned against the wall. "Fairy Girl, and I will keep watch." The others nodded and went inside so Lucy could get her book.
Alex landed on the roof of the building. "We should hurry," She warned. "There are guards everywhere."
"We can wait for Blondie to get her a book," Erik yawned. "It'll keep her from complaining about her counterpart." Alex rolled her eyes but nodded. "You should scout ahead," He suggested. "You're too visible, and you'll get us caught."
"Meet me outside of the city," She said and flew off. Alex flew out of the city and decided to wait by a large rock. She sat on the rock and looked at the city, bored. "Where are they?" She asked herself after twenty minutes. She crossed her arms. "Alright, in the anime, how did they end up leaving the town and meet Edolas Natsu?"
Her eyes lit up in realization when she saw the flaming car coming towards her. "They ran away from the army, and he saved them!" She slapped her forehead. "Why do I always forget the important things?" She took off in the sky to follow the car.
Meanwhile, in the Royal City
"The lacrima piece is secure," A shadowed voice said, facing the king. Nothing is getting close to it."
"And you accounted for every possible outcome?" The king demanded. "I won't have those Fairy Tail rebels causing problems."
The shadowed figure smirked and stood up. "They won't be getting past me."
"And the trap for the Dragon Slayers?" The king asked. "We'll need their power for our plan to work."
"And we'll have it," The figure took his hood off so the king could see his face; his eyes shone with excitement. "Captain Erza and I will be ready when they arrive."
Hey everybody! So here is pt.2 of the Edolas arc. I planned on getting this out sooner, but it's been a little tense with the United States election. I'm hopeful with the results, but I'm not going to get too excited until it's all settled. And it is stressing me out a bit—anyway, enough about that. I loved typing this, and I hope you enjoyed this chapter as much as I liked writing it. Thank you again for reading this story. It means the world to me. I'll get the new chapter out as soon as I can.
