Ricky was just pottering around in the flat whilst Emilia was down for a nap when she heard voices coming up the pathway, her husband and youngest brother in law walking through the door moments later. She finished what she was doing before joining them at the counter, noticing they were in a good mood.

"You're never this happy after coming home from a meeting, what's changed?" She asks Brax, Casey grinning next to him.

"Pete called earlier, they're thinking about discharging Kyle soon." Brax smiles. "They're going to focus his sessions on what happens once he's home, and then he can actually come home. He also said Kyle's got full function back in his arm, and they're doing a couple more physio sessions just to make sure."

"That's great news!" Ricky smiles. "That means you can stop worrying about him now."

"Yeah." Brax rolls his eyes.

"So, what's going to happen with the dog Kyle chose?" Casey asks.

"We're not getting a dog, Case. When you and Denny move out, you can have as many as you want, but until then, no dogs." Brax says.

"So not fair!" Casey moans as he walks back into the house.

"What if Kyle's gotten really attached to this dog you mentioned?" Ricky asks, as he walks over to Emilia's cot, noticing she was waking up.

"I don't know. Depends what Pete says about it. If he says Kyle would benefit from keeping the dog, then I won't have a choice. Kyle's mental health needs to come first, and he needs all the support he can get, even if some of it's from a dog." Brax says, smiling as he picks Emilia up for a cuddle.

"I think it would be good for him. But then again, there's still time for Heath and the cops to find something on Lillie. I can't wait to see his face when she's found." Ricky smiles as she watches father and daughter, staying hopeful for Kyle.

"I just don't want this to go wrong. If Kyle finds out there's another search for her, and nothing's found… He can't go back to the headspace he was in before." Brax says, shaking the thoughts from his head.

"He has all of us to help him now. And he doesn't need to know, just in case there's nothing. But this search is already going better than the first one because we have more to go on now. I know Heath's determined to find something, even if it's not news we want. Let's just trust they know what they're doing." Ricky says, Brax nodding as he smiles down as his daughter. "Look at you two." She grins, grabbing her camera to take some photos.

"Rick, stop taking photos. You've got enough to fill a hundred photo albums and she's only a few months old!" Brax jokingly moans.

"But this is too good of an opportunity to miss! Darryl Braxton has a daughter who he won't stop loving, I need to get evidence!" She jokes back, laughing at his face. "And it's leverage if I ever need to prove that you've got a soft side."

"Leverage." Brax scoffs.

"Yeah, it is. People see you as a hardened ex-con, gang leader, but this… This does not scream that at all." Ricky smiles. "Growing up, you always said you never wanted to get married and you never wanted kids. Now look at us, married with a daughter."

"Yeah, well things have changed." Brax lightly shrugs.

"Do you think in the future we could give Emilia siblings?" Ricky asks, taking a few off guard photos, which she seemed to do better at in her opinion.

"Maybe. We're lucky to have her, but a son would be nice as well." Brax says, noticing she had the camera to her eye. "Right, no more photos today. I'm going to have to hide that camera somewhere you won't find it."

"I know all your hiding spots. Who'd you think found Casey's laptop when you took it from him that time?" She smirks.

"Great, I'll just have to find others then." He smiles.

"How about we go for a walk instead?" Ricky suggests, Brax nodding as she goes to make sure the travel bag had everything they needed.

"Hey Bianca, have you seen Darcy's purple trainers?" Heath calls out to his wife, not finding them anywhere.

"No, are they not in her room?" Bianca asks as she walks into the living room.

"She's already looked in there, and I can't see them out here. We were meant to leave 10 minutes ago so I could drop her at her friends before work, but she's refusing to wear another pair!" Heath moans.

"Where did she last have them?"

"She doesn't remember."

"Of course she doesn't. I'll go and look again in case you didn't look properly." Bianca says, walking towards her step-daughters room.

"Hey!" Casey smiles as he walks in through their door.

"Hey." Heath mutters, still looking around the living room. "I thought you were hanging with Denny today?"

"She wasn't at home, then I remembered she was going into Yabbie Creek with Evie. Brax has just gone out with Ricky and Emilia, so I thought I'd come round here. Has Brax told you the news?" Casey asks, just as Bianca walks out.

"She's going to wear another pair once she finds ones she likes best." Bianca says.

"Great." Heath smiles, turning back to Casey. "What news?"

"Pete called Brax earlier, Kyle is doing great and can come home soon. He just needs a few more sessions of physio and returning home counselling before he'll be discharged." Casey smiles.

"That's great news!" Bianca smiles.

"Yeah, it is." Casey says. "Oh and I walked out with Brax, we're not going to tell Kyle about the new search for Lillie incase nothing comes up again. He doesn't want to risk it causing Kyle to relapse if he knew and didn't get Lillie back."

"Okay, I understand that." Heath nods, not wanting to find Kyle in a pool of his own blood again. "I checked in with Kat this morning and they've still got a few people to check, but nothing has come up yet. I've got some more non-priorities to check, but that's also a dead end so far."

"Well at least you know you're trying, and if Kyle found out, I'm sure he'd be grateful." Bianca says.

"Yeah, I just want him to get answers." Heath sighs. "He needs to know what happened, we all do."

"Well we know it was someone with knowledge on how to not leave a trace. It makes you wonder if it was their first time or not." Casey frowns.

"It's crazy to think people would actually do it in the first place. The fact that they could put a parent through that trauma is horrible. They deserve to be locked up for life." Bianca says, glancing back at the hallway door. "What is Darcy doing?" She says, walking back to her room.

"I've got to drop Darcy off at her friends, can you cover the start of my shift?" Heath asks.

"Doesn't your shift start in 5 minutes?" Casey frowns.

"Yeah, I was meant to drop Darcy of 15 minutes ago now!" Heath says as he looks at his watch.

"Okay, I've got nothing better to do." Casey nods. "But I'm getting the pay for it, I'm not covering you for free. I need to money."

"For what?" Heath asks.

"Me and Den want to visit the rest of Spain in the future, and we also want to go to Italy and Greece. We thought it would be better to start saving early on, to give us more time. But we won't be doing it for ages, we agreed Kyle needs us more." Casey says. "We should have been here sooner, but we kept extending. I feel guilty for never getting to meet Lillie, or to be there for Kyle, like you lot were."

"He wouldn't hold any of it against you. No one knew that was going to happen." Heath says Darcy eventually walks out.

"Come on Dad, we're late!" She moans, rushing out to the car.

"You made us late!" Heath moans as he follows her out, grabbing his keys on the way to the door.
