Greetings one and all. I hope you enjoyed our little journey down some fun paths because we're nearing the end.
This is Day 29: Doing something sweet.
Benny was at the Loud House helping Leni with making a collage of her favorite things. Three of those things included Mr. Coconuts, Leni and of course, Benny.
"Thanks for helping me put this together, Leni," Benny said. "You think she'll like it?"
"Luan is totes gonna love it," Leni said. "Check out the picture I added".
"Oh yeah," Benny said. "That hug you gave Luan to cheer her up when she wanted to give up comedy was just awesome. It inspired fanart, there could be some fanfics about it. I wouldn't even be surprised if a music video about it came out".
Leni commented, "yeah. They do say my hugs can cheer someone up right on the spot".
They continued making the collage. He then showed Leni one of the pictures he added.
"Is that you and Luan on your first date?" Leni asked.
"It sure is," Benny said. "Man, I can already tell how much fun that was".
Luna came downstairs and saw what the 2 of them were doing.
"What's grooving cool cats?" she asked.
"We're making a collage for Luan", Leni answered.
Benny added, "we heard Luan was taken to the hospital after takin beating to the left ear on the bus".
"Oh good," Luna said after sighing relief. "I thought I gave her an earache after playing too much rock and roll".
"No," Benny said. "But giving some an earache from too much rock and roll can happen if one's not careful".
Luna agreed and suggested she quiet down the music for a little while. Leni and Benny's collage ended up being finished a short time later.
"Alright," Leni said. "It's ready".
"Let's go show Luan," Benny said.
With that, the 2 of them strolled off to Royal Woods Hospital.
When they arrived, Leni said to Benny's mom, "thanks for the ride Ms. Stein".
"No problem," Ms. Stein said. "I'll let the others know what happened. Hope Luan feels better".
She then drove off. Afterwards, Benny and Leni took the collage inside with them to show Luan. Leni asked where Luan was.
The one behind the desk told them, "ah yes. Luan Loud. She's on the 4th floor in room 48".
"Thanks," Benny and Leni said to him.
With that, the 2 of them headed up to the 4th floor. In room 48, the 2 of them saw Luan.
"Hey Luan," Benny said.
"Hey guys," Luan said. "What are the two of you doing here? I didn't get beat up that badly".
"We know," Leni said. "We just came to make sure you were okay".
Luan commented," yeah. The doctor said nothing that badly damaged. The ear's just a little red and swollen, but trust me. It goes down over a few days".
"Okay," Benny said. "We made this collage to cheer you up".
He and Leni showed it to Luan.
"I love it," Luan said. "That was really thoughtful of you".
"We're glad you enjoy what we made," Leni said.
She then gave Luan a hug to remember. A few quiet giggles came out of her.
"So you were right," Benny said. "Your hugs really do cheer her up".
"Yeah they do," Luan said.
The doctor came in with a pack of frozen broccoli for Luan's ear.
"Here you go," the doctor said.
"Frozen broccoli?" Leni asked.
"It's like an ice pack," the doctor said. "Are these your guardians, Luan?"
"One of them," Luan answered. "That's my sister, Leni Loud. The other one's my friend, Benny Stein".
"We can't thank this hospital enough for coming to the rescue," Benny said.
"Hey," the doctor said. "This hospital is 2 blocks over from where the incident took place".
Thank god it was. The doctor placed the ice pack on Luan's ear.
"Thank you," Luan said.
It was going to be a few days before the swelling completely stopped. However, Luan knew she had her sister and soulmate to help get her through.
That ends Day 29: Doing something sweet.
Next up is Day 30: Doing something hot.
That's right! We've reached the end.
AN: The idea for this came from a relatable incident I had last week. While I was coming home on the Route 17 bus, this jerk who I politely ask to move for a handicap chair gets so upset, he cusses me out as well as punches me in the right eye and left ear. I was taken to a nearby hospital, but have since been released. Everything except my feelings have completely healed, but I still get skeptical about taking the bus on long distance rides. I can't thank the people at Jefferson Hospital enough for helping me heal up. In fact, why not? This is a special thank you to all the hospital workers and first responders out there around the world. Making sure the sick gets better and wounded get healed feels very special. Sure, it may be a bit much, but it's worth it. To all the hospital workers and first responders, this toast is to you.
