Hi readers!
Okay so first of all:
Thank you to all my returning readers! And reviewers obviously since if you reviewed you must have read the chapter….. I'm babbling aren't I?
The reviews were so kind too!
So yes thank you.
Anyways….. it was requested by a guest that I have the characters play truth or dare like last time.
And being myself I'm obviously going to do that since it was requested…
So I hope you guys enjoy!
Annabeth sat on the sofa with a cup of punch in her hands.
Everyone else was talking and laughing.
Piper returned from the kitchen where she had been doing…. Something.
The brunette was holding two bowls filled with folded paper which she placed on a low table in the centre of the room.
Everyone groaned.
"What's happening?" Annabeth asked Thalia when she sat down next to her.
"Remember how last time Piper made us play regular truth or dare?"
"Yeah." She replied nervously.
"Well. This time we're playing the advanced version."
"Advanced?"
"You'll see what I mean."
Piper stood on the table and started talking to the others.
"Okay guys! As you can see we're playing advanced truth or dare!" She smiled wickedly.
"Do we have to?" Nico asked.
"Yes." She replied. "Now sit your butts down so we can start."
Everyone obliged unwillingly.
"Okay so I'm going to quickly go over the rules." Piper began. "The pink bowl is for the girls and the blue bowl is for the boys. You aren't allowed to choose whether or not you do a truth or a dare. You HAVE to do whatever you pick and there aren't any forfeits. If you absolutely can't do what the paper says then you have to jump, fully clothed into the swimming pool out back and then stay in those clothes for the rest of the game. Am I clear?"
"No could you repeat that again." Leo called which resulted in him getting hit in the head by a fluffy pink pillow.
Jason helped Piper get down from the table and they started the game.
"Okay who's going first?" Thalia asked.
"Leo can since he thinks he's so funny." Piper answered pushing the blue bowl towards him.
He shrugged and picked a piece of paper out of the bowl. He unfolded it and read what it said before looking up at Piper with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, beauty queen I think you've lost your game since this is easy."
"Then do it!" Everyone yelled.
He stood up and walked into the kitchen. He returned with an onion and a knife.
"Don't tell me you have to eat that?" Reyna asked.
"Nope. Just half." He said cutting it open.
"How can you act so calm about that?" Hazel said with her nose wrinkled at the pungent smell.
He shrugged in reply and picked the half up.
"He's doing it." Calypso said shaking her head. "I am not kissing you until you brush your teeth just so you know."
He brought the foul smelling vegetable to his mouth and bit into it with a crunch.
"Oh that's gross. You didn't even wash it!" Silena said.
"It's honestly not even that bad." He replied and finished it off.
"Well." Grover said. "That was just disturbing."
"Okay I'll go next" Thalia decided. "Might as well get it over and done with.
She grabbed the pink bowl and sifted through it before finally picking a sheet up.
She unfolded the piece of paper and rolled her eyes.
"'What is the most petty argument you've ever started?' Wow Piper I think Leo's right."
Piper started to get out of her seat but Jason held her back.
"Just answer the question!" He told her.
"Fine!" She replied. "Okay. If I had to then I'd say it was when Percy and I were younger and we were playing this childish version of capture the flag but with a teddy instead. We were playing against some other kids in the neighbourhood and because Percy wouldn't stay at his designated spot, guarding our bear, we lost. I lost my temper and we had a huge fight."
"I remember that. I still have a bruise on my forehead just so you know." Percy said thoughtfully.
Thalia stuck her tongue out in reply.
"Okay, I'll go next and we'll see how much game who's lost." Piper said. "If that makes sense." She added.
She picked up a piece of paper from the pink bowl.
Her eyes widened when she read it.
"I didn't put this one in." She muttered shaking her head.
Jason took it from her and read it. "I helped you write these but I didn't either. Do you wanna skip?"
"And then have to jump in the pool? No way. Okay. I got a truth." She told the others. "Mine asks if I've ever been arrested. Which I have."
The others looked at her in confusion. She had never told any of them this before.
"When I was younger, I wanted my dad to pay more attention to me because he was so focused on his work that I felt he didn't spend enough time with me. So as a result of that I became a bit of a bad daughter. I somehow managed to persuade people into giving me stuff for free. Like their cars or expensive equipment. And then a day later, they'd realise what just happened and call the police."
Everyone sat in silence.
"Okay then. I'll go next." Said Jason.
He picked a random piece of paper from the blue bowl and opened it.
"Call one of your friends relatives and sing let it go to them." He read.
"Okay who's relative is he calling?" Connor asked.
They all started yelling suggestions at the top of their voices.
"Why don't you call my dad's girlfriend?" Annabeth offered.
Everyone thought about it.
"She hasn't ever met any of us so it would honestly be perfect." Katie smiled.
"Okay can you send me her number then." Jason asked.
"Yeah but make sure you switch your phone to no caller ID mode." She told him.
A few moments later they were ready to initiate the prank.
Jason dialled the number and placed it on speaker phone, laying it on the table.
'Hello?' An indistinct voice spoke.
They all sniggered quietly.
'Hello?' the voice said again sounding irritated.
"Jason that's your cue!" Leo whisper-shouted.
"The snow glows white on the mountain tonight. Not a footprint to be seen."
'Who is this?' the voice was getting angry.
"A kingdom of isolation. And it looks like I'm the queen! The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside! Couldn't keep it in. Heaven knows I tried."
They were all crying with laughter at this point.
"Don't let them in. Don't let them see! Be the good girl you always had to be. Conceal don't feel don't let them know!" Jason's voice grew louder, shaking with the hysterics. "But now they know! Let it go. Let it-"
The call cut off.
That was when the room fell apart with laughter. Tears ran down everyone's faces as they crumbled to their seats.
"Oh gods she cut the call in the middle!" Annabeth whispered.
"It's strange she didn't think to cut it sooner though." Percy added.
"Who wants to go now?" Jason asked.
Everyone fell quiet.
"Why doesn't Annabeth go next?" Thalia said loudly and a hush fell over the room leaving Annabeth and Percy confused. It was almost as if it was rehearsed.
"Yes! Annabeth should go next. In fact there's a special bowl for her to choose from instead." Piper jumped in trying to hide a smirk while she pulled out a bowl from under the table.
"Umm okay then.." Annabeth said confused.
She picked a random slot of paper from the bowl and opened it.
"Read it out loud!" Leo coaxed.
So she did, trying to register what she was seeing.
"Kiss the one person in the room that you have the strongest feelings of love towards."
