Just a quick fill in to cover the second day.
Next morning:
Alex groaned at the sunlight slipping through the curtain, hitting her closed eyes. "Sun go away." The deep chuckled, had her blinking her eyes open. She looked up to find herself still laying on Nathan. After a quick glance around, she noticed they were still in the living room. "Why didn't you wake me up? Your back must be sore."
Waving her concern off, he pulled her in for a quick kiss. "I couldn't bring myself to wake you up. Besides it's not the first time I've slept in a couch. But it is the first time I wake up with such Beauty."
Alex scoffed. "Now you're just buttering me up."
Nathan reached for his phone on the coffee table. "What time are you supposed to meet with Ziva?"
"At 12pm." Grabbing his wrist, she glanced at his watch. "I have about an hour left." She let her head fall on his chest. "Why did I agree to this?"
"I think it's a good idea." Nathan shrugged. "Keep in mind that after tomorrow, you will shift back. Make the best of today."
Alex knew he was right. After tomorrow she was back to being a wolf. She didn't mind it, it was who she was, but she missed being able to walk and talk to people. Also, it would help keep her mind off what was going to happen tomorrow. "You're right." Climbing off him, she stopped halfway. "Nathan?"
"Hmm?"
"I need to shower."
"I'll show you the bathroom." Taking her hand, he led her up the stairs, to the right and down a long hallway. Opening the third door to the right, she walked into what she guessed was his bedroom. This man really loved black. He pulled out some towels from the cabinet, placing it on the sink in the bathroom. "I had Ty buy some clothes for you." He gestured to the bags on the bed. "Pretty sure they will fit you."
Alex felt a slight blush creeping up her neck. "Thank you."
"I am going to get a quick workout in and shower." Grabbing a few items, he walked towards the door. "Just let me know when you want me to drop you off."
"Will do." Waiting until she heard the door close, Alex walked over to the bags. Pulling out the items, she had to laugh. Even though they haven't known long enough, he already knew her style. Taking a quick shower, she changed into a tank top with an open button shit over. Picking the black jeans and black shoes, Alex took a quick glance at the mirror before heading out. She found Nathan sitting at the dinner table, reading the newspaper and drinking some coffee. Alex leaned against the wall, watching him for a moment. He looked so relax. "You look so domestic."
Nathan glanced over the paper. His eyes roaming her body. "Even in jeans you look beautiful." Alex rolled her eyes, reaching for his coffee. "You ready to leave?"
"I can wait until you finish your morning routine." Alex handed him the coffee back, snatching a piece of his toast.
"I can make you breakfast if you are hungry." Nathan offered.
Alex shook her head. "No thank you. I will just grab something to eat with Ziva."
Nathan folded his paper and placed it on the table, before walking toward one of the kitchen drawers and pulling out a small box. "I had Ty pick this up as well."
Grabbing the box, she quickly held it back to him. "Nathan I can't accept it. The clothes were enough." She huffed as he stepped back, refusing to take the box back. "Nathan."
"You are my mate correct?"
"Yes."
"I am your mate correct?"
"Yes." Where was he going with this.
"Then if I want to buy you clothes, phone or a house I will."
Alex looked up at him with a worry look. "Please tell me you didn't buy me a house."
Nathan chuckled. "No, not yet." He was really enjoying getting her riled up. "What I mean is, I will spoil you if I want. And that's final." Grabbing his keys, he held his hand out for her. "Ready?" Men can be very stubborn.
Time jump:
Alex stood in front of Ziva's door, knocking twice softly. It had taken her a good minute to get Nathan to leave. The man was hell bent on walking up with her and making sure she was safety turned over to Ziva. Catching the sound of footsteps approach the door, she readied herself. The moment that door swung open, Alex nearly fell back.
"G-Gibbs." Alex croaked out.
Gibbs greeted her with a sly smirk. "Alex, nice seeing you again."
Alex growled at herself. 'Speak you idiot.' "Same. Although I didn't expect to see you here."
"I was just-"
"Alex, you are finally here!" Ziva yelled from somewhere in the apartment. "I will be ready in two minutes."
Gibbs rolled his eyes, grabbing Alex by the arm and pulling her into the apartment. "Best you take a seat. When Ziva says two minutes, she really means 2 hours."
Alex chuckled. "I know, whole reason I came earlier than agreed." Taking in a deep breath, she nearly choked on his scent. He smelled just as he did when she first met him. Old spice, saw dust and wood. Feeling the heat in her rise, she started to panic. 'Shit, I need to get away!'
A knock on the door gave her the break she needed. Gibbs stood to answer, as she bolted to the bathroom. Splashing some cold water on her face, she looked up to find her eyes had shifted. "What now?!"
'Your heat.'
Alex jumped at the voice of Eyal. 'How the hell are you talking to me?'
'Just walked into the apartment.'
'What's happening?'
'Have you forgotten you are in heat?'
She swore she could hear the sarcasm in his voice. 'No.'
'I swear you pups are infuriating sometimes.' Alex could hear him speaking with Gibbs for a moment. 'When a female is in heat and near one of her mates, it becomes even harder to control. Not to mention it's noticeable to ever male within 20 miles.'
Alex leaned against the wall, sliding to the floor with a groan. 'All I wanted was a girl's day out with Ziva!'
Eyal chuckled. 'You can still have it Alex, just avoid being around Gibbs and Nathan. At least until you are ready to complete the mating.'
'Wait, is that why you came?' Alex felt her cheeks begin to warm up. 'You-ahhh-you-'
'Smelled your heat?'
She could just see his eyes roll. 'Yeah.'
'Yes, and since I didn't scent Nathan, I supposed it was for Gibbs setting you off.' Eyal said. 'You need to be more careful Alex. I can control myself, but others might not.'
'But the mark.' Wasn't that one of the perks? Keep the males away! I swear nothing can be simple. 'I mean it's suppose to help with that.'
'It helps for those that know what's best for them.' Eyal said. 'For other's their instinct may be stronger than their common sense.'
Alex laid her head against the wall. Tilting her head to the left, she was able to catch Eyal's and Gibbs conversation.
"Can I ask you a question?" Gibbs asked.
"Sure."
"What do you know of Alex?"
There was a pause. "Not much really. I met her the same day you did. What you know is pretty much what I know. She is 25. Came to visit Matt. That's about it." Another pause. "Am I seeing an interest?"
Gibbs laughed. "No, just-intrigued. Not to mention she is a little too young for me."
"Age is just a number agent Gibbs." Alex heard Ziva walk into the living room. "You look stunning Neshema."
"Thank you handsome, now where is Alex?" Ziva asked.
Alex picked herself up, rushing out the bathroom. "Right here."
"Lets go!" Ziva grabbed her bag and keys, giving Eyal a kiss. "You two staying here?"
Eyal shook his head. "No, I was actually hoping agent Gibbs would join me for a drink." Gibbs shrugged, giving him a nod, yet not once taking his eyes of Alex. "You ladies have fun."
And fun they did. Ziva had decided they would go to every store located inside the mall. Alex trailed behind her, stopping every once in a while, to window shop. They had already picked out Ziva's date night clothes, but were in no hurry to leave. As they turned the corner of a hallway, Alex came face to face with a baby store. She was frozen in the spot.
"Planning to have children soon?" Ziva asked, appearing beside her.
Alex smiled to herself. The imagine of her soon pups flashed before her eyes. She couldn't wait to feel what being a mother was. To see Nathan chase after the pups. Watch them grow and see all their firsts. "Yes, hopefully. You?"
Ziva frowned, mauling over the question. "I don't know. Maybe someday."
"Eyal or Tony?" Alex bit back her laughter at the look she got. "What?"
"Tony?" She pulled a face, as if completely offended. "Yeah, no."
Alex laughed. "Please, have you seen the way Tony looks at you. He's like a puppy."
"Well he can be a dog sometimes." Ziva mumbled. "It's not that Tony isn't a great guy or a good friend. When at work I trust him with my life, but I can never see myself in a serious relationship with him. He's to immature."
Alex knew just what she meant. "And Eyal is a wolf."
"Exactly!" She laughed. "He's what I need in my life right now." If only she knew just how much she meant for Eyal. "What about you? Anyone special?"
Alex steered her to a food court, taking a seat on one of the tables. "There is someone."
"Oh, do tell." Ziva grinned.
Alex shrugged, grabbing a menu. "Not much to tell really. His name is Nathan. I met him a few months ago." No reason I'm telling her they met only days ago. "He works with Aaron Hotchner from what I recall." Alex felt the suddenly change around her. Looking up from her menu, she noticed how pale Ziva had gotten. "Ziva, you okay?"
"Aaron Hotchner? As in BAU Hotchner?" Her voice came out shaky, with a small gasp.
Alex frowned. "I believe so yeah. You know him?"
Ziva nodded slowly. "Y-yeah we worked together for a case." Ziva placed the menu down hesitant. "How much do you know about Hotchner."
Alex leaned back in the chair. She knew they didn't just accepted knowing werewolves were real, just like that. But still she couldn't say anything now. "Not much, just that he works for the feds. Why?"
Her shoulders relaxed. "No reason."
Alex wondered how Ziva would react when she finds out about her. Like Hotchner had once said, many accept it, but some become paranoid. Many become hunters tasking themselves to take down the 'monsters.' In reality when it came down, humans were the monsters. Back in the medieval, there was a cleansing. Kings had ordered their knights to kill all children. They didn't want the risk of wolves being born, so they killed every child under the age of 3. You won't find that anywhere in your history books. Luckily for us, many escaped the kingdoms, living in the woods. Creating their packs strong and ready for revenge. Who do you think helped cause the fall of Rome.
By the time they got back to her apartment, it was well past 6pm. Ziva dropped her bags on the floor, falling face first on the couch.
Alex walked in after, closing the door behind her. Taking a seat on, Alex's mind began to wonder. Tomorrow she would officially mate with Nathan. Which meant sleeping with him. That was actually much more nerve wrecking than the mating part. God how she wished her mother was here these moments.
"What has you so quiet?" Ziva was still face down in the pillow.
Alex lazily turned her head to the right. "Just thinking. Hey can I ask you something." Ziva gave a muffled yeah. "When did you have sex the first time?"
Ziva raised her head, mouth slight gapped. "Oh, uhh."
"I am sorry, was that to personal?" Alex wasn't used to measuring her words. In a pack all woman were open with their personal life. It helped being able to talk to someone without being shunned or awkward.
Ziva sat up, waving her off. "No, I just wasn't expecting that." Walking over to a small bar she had in the corner, Ziva disappeared behind it. "This conversation requires alcohol, what do you want?"
"What do you have?"
"Bourbon and whiskey." Ziva pulled out the bottle of Bourbon. "Bourbon it is." Alex raised a brow, not sure why she even asked. "I bought the Whiskey bottle for Eyal. He likes to drink a glass whenever he is here."
Alex bit back a chuckle. Ziva had it bad with Eyal. "Understandable."
Serving them both a glass, she took her seat on the couch once more. "I had sex the first time when I was 18. My family was very strict, in a good way. I only ever had two boyfriends, before deciding to join Mossad. One was actually an old partner of mine."
"How was your first time?"
Ziva shrugged. "It was alright. Sorry, I don't usually talk about these things." Swallowing her drink, she asked. "When was yours?" Seeing the slight embarrassment on her face, she finally understood. "You haven't slept with anyone." Alex shook her head. "Honestly, I can only offer you advice. For each person, its different. Some say it's painful, for others it's not. I will say this, make sure you talk with your partner. Let his know what is okay and what isn't."
Alex swirled the bourbon in her glass, listening to the chinking of the lice cubes, breathing in the fragrance that only years in an oak barrel can achieve. "It's late, I should call Nathan to pick me up."
"Oh, so I am going to be meeting this Nathan guy." She was suddenly no longer tired.
Alex raised a brow. "As long as you don't plan on shooting him."
"I would never!" Ziva gasped, looking everywhere, but at her. "Just call him already."
Looking up his contact, she waited for the pick up.
'Hello love.'
"Hey, can you pick me up?" Alex swatted Ziva away, as she leaned in trying to listen. "I am at Ziva's."
'No problem, I am actually with Eyal right now. Be up in a minute.'
"Oh okay." Ending the phone call, she stared at it for a moment. If Nathan was with Eyal, was Gibbs with them as well? That was never a good idea. Even though Gibbs wasn't a wolf, Nathan can and will see him as a threat. Chugging her drink, she stood to place it in the sink, when a pile of papers on the table caught her attention. Grabbing one, she was surprised to see her picture as a wolf in the front. Big black bold letters saying 'MISSING'. "What is this?"
Ziva glanced up, only to look back down. "I am putting signs up for Luna. I am worried, usually she isn't gone for too long."
"I am sure she will appear in no time. You guys are her pack mates, she wouldn't leave just like that." She knew she was going to regret ever saying this, but she needed to put her at ease. "You said she was in heat?" Ziva nodded. "Then that's why she ran off. She probably went out looking for a mate. She will be back once she did her thing." God that left a bad taste in her mouth. Oh the embarrassment.
"You're probably right." Ziva sighed. Hearing the door bell, she opened the door to reveal Eyal and Nathan. "Hey."
"Evening beautiful." Eyal greeted her with a quick kiss. "You two had fun?"
Ziva nodded, turning her attention to the man standing beside Eyal. "You must be Nathan."
"You must be Ziva." Nathan shook her hand. "Eyal hasn't talk about anything else tonight."
Eyal growled low enough for only us to hear. "Says the one that was just talking about Alex on the way up."
"Speaking of Alex, where is she?" Nathan asked.
Ziva moved to the side, allowing them to walk in. "She is in the-"
"I am right here." Alex stepped into the living room, walking over to him and kissing him on the cheek. "You ready?"
"Yeah. I will see you the day after tomorrow." Nathan said.
Eyal nodded. "Day after tomorrow."
He turned to Ziva. "It was a pleasure meeting you Ziva." Giving her hand a kiss, he walked Alex out the apartment and towards his car. Opening the door for her, he jogged over to his side. "Let's get you back home.
All Alex could think about on the drive home, was that in a few hours she would be his mate. She will no longer be a lone wolf, but the mate of Alpha Nathan Stark. Lead female to his pack and soon the mother of his pups.
Damn.
