Holly was ready to throw her math book against a wall.
"Why does math have to be a thing?" she groaned.
Her girlfriend chuckled and wrapped an arm around her. "You're adorable when you pout. Perhaps I can help?"
Holly sighed and pulled her Crownculus book in between the two of them.
Darling tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and looked at the first problem. "So you're working on functions? Ok, I kinda remember these. Write out the problem."
Holly hastily scribbled the characters onto her paper.
Darling pointed to a chart. "Do you see these numbers in the left column?"
Holly nodded. Darling squeezed her hand and said "Take one of these numbers and plug it in for every x."
Holly nodded and went to work. Darling reviewed her Kingdom Management notes. They worked in peaceful tandem for a few hours. Their biggest distraction was the occasional scratching of a pencil.
Holly lost track of time. She got lost in a whirlwind of numbers and the gentle swishes of the pages of her textbooks.
"Hey Darling, do you mind checking my work?" She looked over at her girlfriend.
"Darling?"
The blonde was snoring softly. Holly chuckled and brushed some hair off Darling's forehead. Math homework could wait.
