Finn jumped.

It was really the only thing he could've done in that situation. With the lemons closing in on all sides and with no way to go but over the railing and down, he made that choice. However he severely underestimated the height of the fall.

He realized it as soon as he twisted and jumped, bullets flying around him. He snorted, but there was no stopping him now. He knew landing correctly would do him more harm than good, but he had no other choice but to try and stick the landing. Rolling was an option, so he'd try that.

As soon as his forelegs hit the ground he knew he was screwed. Even when he buckled his forelegs and tipped his neck sideways to see if he could roll, he felt his momentum bear down on his thin forelegs and instantly heard and felt his cannon bones snap.

He didn't make a sound. He wanted to, but he couldn't give away how hurt he really was. The lemons would come after him for sure if they knew he was wounded.

He did end up rolling forward. He went to stand, but his weight could not be supported by his two forelegs. The searing hot pain that was sent through his entire body was enough to make him bite back a scream.

He wasn't able to stand. He wasn't able to run. He wasn't able to escape.

"This is Agent McMissile, can anyone hear me? Over."

"I copy, Finn. What's wrong?"

The sound of Holley's voice over the coms was enough to settle his nerves for a moment. "I'm down. The lemons are closing in."

"Ethan and I are on our way! I'll contact Siddeley for an air lift."

"Great."

"Send me your coordinates."

He did, and then he was left to lay there with pain tearing all throughout his body. He was pretty sure the lemons knew he was down for the count, and anxiety slowly crept through him. He couldn't stand, and he wouldn't be able to defend himself.

He might've passed out from the pain at some point, because the next thing he knew he was being shaken awake. He groaned as he opened his eyes and looked up.

Ethan, Sam and Holley stood around him, with Siddeley off to the side waiting for him. All of them wore the same concerned face, but they relaxed slightly when he looked up at them.

"Come on, we have to move," Ethan motioned for him to get up so they could go into Siddeley's hold.

"I can't walk."

Ethan turned around, narrowing his eyes at them. "Why?"

"I jumped. I'm fairly sure both my forelegs are broke."

"Friggin hell," Ethan quietly said, then turned to look at Siddeley. "Can you airlift him?"

"Yes sir."

With the straps attached to Finn and Siddeley hooked up to him, the pegasus slowly took off. Even with the soft raise, he jostled and a new wave of pain was sent through his entire body stemming from his forelegs. He couldn't help a quiet groan as his eyes shut tight.

"We'll get you some pain meds soon, big guy. Just hold tight." Ethan's voice was soothing, and Finn just sighed in response.

He trusted them to get him to safety.
