Nick opened his eyes.

Where am I? His voice seemed to just appear, rather than come from him.

Nick tried to actually speak but nothing came out.

He looked down and yelped.

His body was made of some sort of green spectral light.

Judy?

Carrots!

Judy, where are you? His "voice" echoed around him.

Nick racked his brain trying to remember what happened. It felt like he was trying to get an old car engine to work.

Old.

Nick remembered. This wasn't his body. Well, it was, but that was a long time ago. Now, his joints creaked when he moved and he used a cane.

Wait. NO. I can't be dead. Nick ran around, trying to find a way out.

Judy my love. I have left her. Nick sat down and began to cry. He had never felt so alone, so incomplete.

Nick? Nick raised his head. In the distance, a purple light flashed. Nick began to run towards it. It began to run at him. Finally, his beloved came into view. She looked the same way she had on the day he met her, minus the spectral skin. Nick enveloped her in a tight hug

Nick? Where are we? Why do we look like this? He heard Judy's voice in his mind.

It clicked before he even had a chance to answer.

We're dead, aren't we? Judy asked. Nick nodded.

I remember now. We... we knew it was time. We walked to our bed and laid down. Now... we're here.

What happens now?

I don't know, Nick.

A bright light suddenly appeared. A hand reached out of the portal. Nick and Judy took it.

Nick opened his eyes again. He was curled around his bunny. They both looked young and healthy. They only wore togas. The two of them stood up and gazed in awe in wonder at what stood before them. Mansions covered the whole earth. Some had hundreds of people in them, while others only had a single person. But there was still enough for everyone. In the distance, a golden palace gleamed. Nick and Judy stood on top of a hill. They looked down the road and saw multiple figures waving at them. Nick and Judy recognized their parents. Finnick stood beside them. A few of Judy's other family members. All of them... dead. Nick and Judy walked down the hill and were met with hugs all around.

"I missed you, partner," Finnick said. Nick's dad no longer had a gunshot wound. His mother looked young and beautiful. His brother's body was no longer broken as a result of a drunk driver.

"So, what do we do?" Nick asked, holding Judy close.

"Whatever we want dear," said.

"For how long," Judy asked.

All of them spoke at once.

"Eternity."
