Hey everyone! I come with good news! I am finally able to write again! I seem to be getting over the block and now I am really hoping to get back into the swing of planning and ready and get back to the stage I was in August. I have an idea for a Draco and Astoria fic in my head inspired by an RP I am currently doing on Twitter so we shall see if i can form a fanfic from the idea.

Stay safe,

Lots of love,

LM xx

Breaking Traditions-Part 31:

Priscilla instantly excused herself to go and find Abraxas and Cygnus, leaving Lucius and Narcissa alone to process the news. Narcissa looked at Lucius unable to believe him as she looked at him.

"Please do not be joking Lucius," Narcissa said, "I don't think I could bare it if you were joking with me and I don't think your mother would like you for it either," she said before Lucius quickly showed her the parchment in his hand and led her back towards the Manor and into the parlor. He knew his mother would find them there.

Just as Narcissa was begging Lucius to tell her the news Priscilla walked in with Abraxas and Cygnus.

"I thought Druella should be left alone as she doesn't need to know about this considering how she feels about it all," Priscilla said as she soon found the men agreeing with her.

Tea was served and everyone had a few sips before Lucius slowly felt all sets of eyes on him and he gathered his thoughts before he looked at the others.

"So yes there has been a match found. A week old baby girl was found outside of the orphanage and there were tests conducted on the little one and she's Pureblood and has hair like Cissa's and neither parents were shown alive in the test," Lucius said, "this means that the little girl really is an orphan and could be our best hope for a baby."

Priscilla moved to her daughter-in-law's side, fearing that Narcissa would have some sort of breakdown but it was soon tears of relief that were escaping Narcissa's eyes and cascading down her cheeks. She wrapped her arms around her and kissed her hair softly. She knew that it was just the relief that there had been a possible match that had set Narcissa crying and she looked and nodded at the others to say that it was nothing to be concerned about.

They sat in silence and Narcissa eventually managed to stop the tears falling and she smiled tearfully at the others.

"I'm fine. Really I am. It's just the shock of it all and the shock of getting the news," she said, "honestly I'll be fine now I have it all out of my system," she said and had a sip… or several of her cup of tea.

"What do you two want to do?" Cygnus asked as he looked at the couple, "whatever you both choose we will support you in the next step. This is about what you want to do."

"We haven't really discussed it but I think we'd have to meet the baby and see what happens. Who knows how long we could be waiting for another chance like this?" Narcissa said as she looked at Lucius biting her lip, "if she is the child then we have to know one way or another. I'd hate to miss this chance of maybe having a daughter."

"I think that is a very wise decision even if you haven't had a chance to discuss it yet," Abraxas said, "I have no doubt though that Lucius feels the same way as you," he said and Lucius nodded,

"We have to take this chance because it could be the only chance we get. We were lucky this happened as it has," he said as he stroked Narcissa's cheek and smiled at her.

Narcissa smiled at her husband before her lips found his and she kissed him. Lucius was shocked but he instantly kissed her back. She was kissing him in a way that she hadn't kissed him in a while and both had forgotten about the audience they had.

"Save that for later," Priscilla said and she and Abraxas had to laugh as the younger couple looked at them blushing, Narcissa more so as her eyes were wide in shock.

"Sorry mother, father, Cygnus," Lucius said before moving to pour more tea for the elders, "so how do we go about this now?" he asked as he looked at them.

"Well obviously discretion is obviously now key so I suppose this is where I get directly involved," Abraxas said as he sipped his tea and was half in thought.

"What are you thinking darling?" Priscilla asked her husband, full well knowing that he deep in thought over the whole thing.

"Well obviously we do not want anyone to find out about the meeting so it looks like I shall have to arrange a secret meeting for Lucius and Narcissa and the orphanage," Abraxas said as he turned to face his wife, "the last thing we need is anyone finding out about this now."

"Is it possible?" Lucius asked as he looked at his father, his arm around Narcissa's waist.

"Oh yes it's possible. Leave it with me and I will get something arranged as soon as possible," Abraxas said, "I will need the owl though," he said and Lucius handed over the piece of parchment in his hand.

"I don't think we should tell Draco yet," Narcissa said, "I hate keeping him in the dark but I also don't want to build up his hopes and then it all fails and he's upset as well."

Lucius looked at Narcissa and knew that the decision wouldn't have been taken lightly by her and he nodded,

"Yes. I think that would be a good idea. If this works then we can explain everything to him. In fact once we know how this is going to go then we can tell him but, for now at least, I think we should keep him in the dark. It's not fair for us to get his hopes up as well."

That was agreed upon pretty quickly and Narcissa headed over to the window and looked out over the Gardens and Lucius excused himself as he noticed that Narcissa seemed more relaxed as she had done in ages.

He rested his hand on the base of her back and felt her head land on his shoulder.

"Can I dream yet?" she whispered.

"Just hold off until we meet the baby and if it goes well then we can," Lucius whispered back, "but we cannot afford to let ourselves get carried away with this because who knows what could happen Cissa," he said as he kissed her head. He wanted the baby to be perfect for them but he would not allow himself to dream yet, nor Narcissa but he still hoped for a match at the same time.
