Back with Pablo, the boy was sweeping the floor at the hangout building he and Ginny work at. He was the first only person there, so it gave him enough time to try to get the place to be cleaned up before people came in. He pretty much had to get use to it, knowing that he'll have to clean up Roxie's Ice Cream Parlor when October comes around.
While he was thinking to himself about what had happened during the double date last night, the sound of the door opening was heard behind him. It seems like Ginny was finally here, despite he expected her and Sapphire's time at the coffee shop would be a little longer than that. Either way, he places his broom on the side of the wall, before turning around.
"Alright, Ginny, I was..." Pablo stopped talking, before realizing who it was right behind him. He was rather surprised to see that she was here right now. "...Roxie? What are you doing here?"
"I just came to see what your workplace looked like, since...well, I've never really seen it before." Roxie said, looking around the place.
"Well...let's just say that you came to this place at the right time, Roxie. No kids is in here making a mess, or crowding the entire place." The boy said, before chuckling to himself. "Hey...I've been meaning to come by your Ice Cream Parlor after work to talk to you about the double date...I just wanted to apologize to you for..."
"Pablo, I already said that it's alright. Truthfully, I will admit this, I had fun during the double date, even if we weren't a real couple." Roxie smiled a little bit. "Also, at least I got to eat at one of the restaurants I've been meaning to eat at for awhile now. Thanks for that by the way."
"No problem...I just..." Pablo sighed. "...I just really wish Ginny went out with me first...not that...Vance guy..."
"Pablo, if I were..."
"I don't mean to interrupt, but if you say that I should be telling Ginny the truth at this point, it's not a good idea at this point, because she thinks we're dating still."
Roxie groans, before deciding to tell some different advice to Pablo instead. "Alright, if you really think that that's the case..." She then stares at Pablo as he sat down on one of the stools near the counter. "...It's going to hurt to hear this, but, I think you got to move on from Ginny at this point. If she's going to be oblivious to your crush on her, then...what's the point in trying to get her to notice?" The boy in the red jacket lowers his head, glaring to the ground.
"Wow...that's SO helpful...it's not like I feel like crap already..."
"Well, it seems like it's the only thing to do, Pablo. She's into Vance and...that's just it...I'm sorry."
"Well, if that's the case..."
Before Pablo could finish his sentence, Ginny walks into the hangout building. The two turned their heads to see that the girl had finally arrived at the place, most likely to get ready for work. The pirate-dressed girl quickly noticed Roxie being here, seeing that she was here for reasons she doesn't know about.
"Oh, uh...hi, Roxie..." Ginny said, staring at the girl standing in front of her best friend. "...What are you doing here?" Roxie places her hands on her hips, before biting her lip.
"Well, all I can say is that me and Pablo were talking about our relationship, that's all." Roxie said. "I was just about to head out before you came in." Ginny blinked a couple times, unsure if that was what they were really talking about in here. "Anyways, Pablo, I think we should talk some more after your shift is done." Pablo nods his head.
"Agreed..." Pablo said.
Roxie heads out the door, leaving Ginny and Pablo by themselves. Ginny slowly turned back around to Pablo, as he stood up from the stool he was sitting on. "Talking about your relationship, huh?" Ginny asked her best friend. "You know...I always thought you and her would make a great couple..." Pablo fakes a smile, before speaking himself.
"Well, yeah, we were talking about..."
"Before you say anything, can I ask you something? It's something that...I feel a little awkward bringing up, but...considering that it came into my mind because of Sapphire, I felt like I need to talk to you about this." Pablo was a bit confused by that being said, but didn't think too much into it.
"Um...okay, what do you want to tell me?"
Ginny tugs on her jacket collar, before finally speaking. "It's about...you and Roxie."
"What about us?"
"I told Sapphire that you and Roxie were also on the double date, and she was skeptical about your relationship with Roxie." Pablo raises an eyebrow, as Ginny continued. "She said that you and Roxie were faking the relationship, because...you...you were in love with me...not Roxie. So...I guess I shouldn't be believing Sapphire on this, but..." She stares at Pablo with the same nervous look on her face. "...Are you actually in love with me?"
Pablo was staring at Ginny with a shocked look on his face. Ginny now knows because Sapphire jumped to the conclusion that he was in love with her out of nowhere. He was at a lost for words at this point, as he had no idea how to even tell Ginny the truth about all of this. He gulps, as he stood up from the stool, placing his hands behind his head, walking away from his best friend, while looking at the floor.
"Sapphire thought that...I have a crush on you, or that...I'm in love with you?" Pablo asked, looking behind himself at Ginny, while he lowers his arms. Ginny nods her head. "I...I don't know what to even say..."
"Just tell me, Pablo. Is your relationship with Roxie last night just...fake?" Ginny asked. "Because Sapphire has me worried about all of this."
"I...I..."
Pablo went up to his best friend, still not wanting to tell her his feelings. With the fact that he was being confronted with this now, he had to confess it, or else Ginny will turn on him. He gulps, before rubbing the back of his neck.
"Ginny, I...I..." Pablo stood there, feeling like he almost can't say his feelings towards Ginny. "...It's true..." Pablo said, as softly as he did.
"It's what?" Ginny asked.
"IT'S TRUE! I ALREADY SAID IT WAS TRUE, GINNY! I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU!" Pablo snaps, finally confessing to the girl his true feelings for her. "FROM THE START OF MY FRIENDSHIP WITH YOU, I HAD FEELINGS, BUT THEN YOU GO OUT WITH SOME GUY YOU JUST MET RATHER THAN THE BOY YOU'VE KNOWN FOR A MAJORITY OF YOUR LIFE!"
Now, it was all finally said to her. Ginny was standing there, looking rather horrified by the way Pablo snapped at her, revealing everything that he had kept to himself for so many years. It was all said to her in what felt like a flash, and so sudden too. She just wish that Sapphire was just making stuff up, but now Pablo is yelling all of this at her, and...all she can really say is that, she's speechless.
Pablo slowly calms down, seeing the shocked look on his best friend's face, realizing what he had said to her. His feelings for her expressed to her, but in a harsh way. This was almost like a nightmare coming to life for him. He never wanted his feelings to come out like THIS. Ginny steps back away from her best friend, before she looks down.
"P-Pablo...you're in love with me?" Ginny asked. "I...I really don't know how to feel about...any of this...I..."
Pablo bit his lips, knowing that he had completely messed up his friendship with Ginny now. He knew that he had made the wrong choice here. He wish he should've just denied his feelings as always, and just pretend Sapphire was thinking too deep into the double date. But, now the truth is out, and...Ginny is unable to say anything to him now. She looks down, before backing up again.
"...I-I think I need to go home...I'm sorry..." Ginny said, before turning around and walking out of the hangout building.
Pablo tried to reach out to his best friend, only to stop, seeing her run out of the building, leaving him alone inside. He fell to his knees after seeing that Ginny had finally disappeared from his sights. He felt a tear rolling down his cheek, seeing that he had just most likely ruined his friendship with Ginny after he had finally confessed his feelings for her.
'What have I done?' Pablo asked in his thoughts.
