The Avengers got the notification from Nick Fury that there was a hydra base that we need to clear out. He said he needs all of them; Spider-man, Ironman, Hawkeye, Black Widow, the Winter Soldier, Captain America, War Machine, Ant Man, Falcon, Bruce for medic, Scarlet Witch, and Vision. The Avengers suited up and headed out of the Compound. The Avengers flew overhead in the Quinjet, and Spiderman, Ironman, Captain America, and Winter Soldier, were the drop-ins. Tony started heading to the end of the plane, with Steve and Bucky getting their parachutes, while Peter walked straight towards the steadily opening door. The others saw this.
"Hey, Pete, need a parachute," Tony asked.
"No, thanks though!"
"Peter, stop messing around, get a parachute." Peter started running to the door.
"Can't hear you! Gotta drop!" He smoothly glided down, steadily dropping.
"PETER!" Steve yelled. Everyone gathered at the opening of the plane to see what will happen, fearing the worst. He was just two yards from the ground, and everyone held their breaths. All of a sudden, he spread his arms out, and his suit had webbing in between his arms and torso, acting as a wingsuit.
"I swear he is going to make me grey before next year," Tony grumbled.
"How?! How'd he do that," Bucky yelled.
"I have no idea. He just keeps doing stuff like this."
"He's insane," Clint said in admiration. Everyone nodded, especially Tony.
As everyone watched him smoothly land and run behind a building, they heard Peter on their comms. "Hey, guys! What are you doing up there? I'm busy fighting fifty guys over here," Peter said over the comms.
"Shoot, I forgot!"
The last of the drop-in team hopped out, Tony flying over to Peter, who was now standing still with many unconscious bodies around him.
"The alarms were set off about twenty seconds ago, so more will be here soon," Peter warned, getting into a crouch. Everyone nodded. Soon, hundreds of HYDRA agents started flowing out of the building, aiming their weapons. Peter took this as the signal to disarm them. He shot a web at a beam at the roof of the warehouse, and pulled himself above the enemies. He soon disarmed a third of their men, while Tony, Bucky, and Cap got to work on the rest. That's when Peter started babbling.
"Hey, Mr. Stark?"
"What do you need, kid?" Tony's voice was slightly strained as he tried to make sure Peter was safe.
"Well, do you think if I drank a bottle of Windex mixed with water, would I die? Completely hypothetical, though!"
"Peter, I swear to god, are you sure this is hypothetical?"
"Yep! Well, maybe."
"Go to the med bay right after this mission, you hear me," Cap ordered. The others had amused chuckles except for Tony and Cap.
"Okay!" Then it was silent on the comms, aside from the quiet grunts and gunshots making it through the mic. A few minutes later, when the fight was dying down, there was more communication.
"Hey, guys!" Everyone groaned.
"What is it, kid," Clint asked.
"Well, what if I were to, like, get stabbed, but leak my blood into someone else's? Would they be poisoned? I wanna try it. Clint! Shoot me!"
"Deal-"
"NO," Steve, Tony, Bucky, and Nat yelled.
"Don't shoot him, Clint," Tony warned. Peter sighed sadly.
"Peter, focus!"
"Yeah! On it!" Peter swung inside, seeing if there were any more people while Bucky, Scott, Nat, Clint, Steve, and Tony were dealing with the ground forces and Wanda, Vision, Sam, and Rhodey focused on the helicopters. Peter climbed inside on the ceiling silently, spotting one guy rushing and attaching some stuff to the supporting beams.
"Hey, guys, I found one in here, but he has a huge gun!" Peter whispered. Steve and Tony made their way inside, and started sneaking up to the guy, but he heard them. He spun around and fumbled with a remote, and firing bullets, as Peter's spider-senses screamed at him.
"It's a bo-" He was cut off by an explosion, and he leaped down just before the button was clicked. He landed next to Tony and Steve, watching as the support beams were crumbling. Tony and Steve waited for their imminent death, but it never came. They still heard the swearing and yells of their teammates from the comms and outside the collapsed warehouse. Tony and Steve slowly looked up, seeing Peter shakily holding up the whole roof.
"Peter! What are you doing?!"
"Saving your arse, Cap, now go!" Peter lifted it a foot more, letting them crawl out easily due to not being too far from the exit. We all looked in, seeing Peter's arms shaking.
"Man, this warehouse is heavier than the last one!" We stared at him.
"What do you mean 'the last one?!' Peter, did you get trapped in a building before?!"
Tony was freaking out.
"Never mind that right now, we need to get him out of there!" Cap ordered. They all nodded, but Peter stopped them.
"Wait, I have an idea! You guys just have to get to a safe distance first!" He tried to hide that he had no plan, but wanted them safe for when the building dropped. He was into a kneel position at this point and his arms were shaking. He looked down, realizing that there was blood pooling on the ground from a bullet hole.
"Okay, okay, we trust you," Tony said, as they were backing up. They watched in anticipation and fear. Once they were far away, Peter activated the comms.
"Alright, thank you guys for trusting me, and I'm sorry for lying, but I couldn't let you get hurt." The others freaked out.
"Peter! Are you crazy!?" Clint yelled, at the same time as Natasha.
"Peter no!" Everyone started running back to him, but wouldn't get there in time.
"Sorry, guys," He said in a somber voice. Then, to the spectators' horror, the building dropped.
Everyone screamed a mix of "PETER!" and "NO!" as they rushed over, Bruce rushed from the quinjet with medical supplies. They got there in a flash, trying to dig him up, but then the rubble started moving. They all backed away from the giant pile, waiting to see if their hopes were correct. Suddenly, a very happy and very alive Spiderman jumped out.
"WOAH! DID YOU SEE THAT?!" He was excited.
"PETER!" Everyone yelled with relief. They rushed over, trying to give him a hug but he was jumping too much, and wouldn't sit still.
"Dude! That's the third warehouse I've held up before!" Everyone stopped.
"What?!" Steve and Bucky stared in disbelief, neither of them could hold up a whole building.
"Yep! This is the second one I've done with a bullet wound, too! Wow, life is crazy!"
"Woah, woah, woah. A BULLET hole?" Bruce exclaimed.
"Yeah, there was a bank robbery and they blew most of it up, and their loose bullets hit my shoulder. It was so cool! It hurt, though." They stared in confusion and disbelief.
"And you didn't tell me?!" Peter flashed a smile at Tony.
"I didn't tell you about either time!" Tony stared at him.
"Explanation. Now."
"Well, the bank one was just some idiot planting bombs and using a remote that was traceable on my phone, so that was easy. The other one was with that guy called the Vulture." Everyone nodded, remembering the villain Peter took down without a suit or any help. "Well, I tracked him back to his base, and he took out the supports, and I caught a lot of rubble, and it all fell on me. I think I had a few broken ribs, and some lacerations." They were shocked.
"And all this was before you fought him and FELL FROM A PLANE?!" Tony was in disbelief and felt a tremendous amount of guilt. Peter nodded giddily.
"Yep! It was fun."
"Kid, catching a warehouse on you with broken ribs is not my definition of fun." Bucky was amused.
"Oh, well, to me it is! It made a great story!... Wait, I forgot to tell anyone…" They were all amused now.
"So, you lifted two warehouses, fought a guy with metal wings, had broken ribs and cuts, fell from a plane and landed on a beach, fought the guy AGAIN, saved him from an explosion after he dropped you from the sky again, left him at the wreckage, and did ALL of that and not remembering to tell anyone?" They were laughing. "Kid that's a lot of work to go through to just forget!"
"Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree with that. Now, Bruce?" Said man looked up. "I almost forgot again, I have a bullet in my calf right now, do you mind helping?"
"I swear to god, Peter, if you forgot to mention it to us, I would've made Bruce relocate it into your skull." Tony was trying to hide his amusement, but failing. Peter looked at him fearfully, as Tony walked forward slowly, teasing him. Peter jumped up, startling Bruce.
"In that case, bye, guys!" And he disappeared behind the rubble. Tony laughed. Bruce shook his head, amused.
"Tony he could bleed out right now if we don't fix it." Tony froze.
"Hey, Pete, come back now, I was joking! Time to let Bruce fix it," Tony called, hoping to see the giddy kid fly right by. He didn't. The others got nervous.
"Peter?" Steve called, worried. Suddenly, his shield was yanked from his grasp, and pulled up towards the tree looming above them. Steve was startled, and they all looked up to see a grinning Peter.
"Hey, Tony, you should have called the code word! Would have looked cooler!" Tony and Steve rolled their eyes.
"Kid get down here! You are losing blood!" Steve was growing increasingly more worried the longer he was away from Bruce.
"Don't worry, relax! I got the bullet out already and bandaged it!" He revealed his leg with a white bandage over his suit.
"How'd you get it out?" Bucky was confused.
"I found nail clippers in the bag when you guys had your backs turned, I also just stole the bandage with it. Don't worry, I cleaned the wound."
"Peter, you will be the death of us," Steve said. Peter grinned.
"No, for you it would be old age, grandpa!"
