It was a quiet day; the first one he had had in ages. It was a day he hadn't realized he wanted, a day his body greedily demanded. As he moved slowly down the sidewalk, an umbrella held aloft, he wondered what it was Kikyo wanted to speak with him about. It wasn't often the woman requested his presence and it was because of this that he occasionally granted her request.
Because of the rain, not many people moved along the sidewalks and those that did held some kind of cover. Unsurprisingly, the outdoor seating in his favorite café was not available; he doubted it would have been open either way, considering the temperatures were quickly heading towards winter.
When he was seated, ignoring the infatuated looks from the servers, he set his silent phone on the table and prepared himself to wait. His brother's wife was hardly ever prompt and it would not be the first time Sesshoumaru had been forced to wait.
