Lessons In Love: Chapter Sixty-Four: Something About Us (Part 3)

The older Tony had his face pressed gently on the top of his hands. He was taking up all the room on the small bed, and that douchebag wizard was sitting on the edge of it.

The older Stephen was picking up his clothing. The two of them couldn't handle all the chatting and innocent kissing. They were in the mood for one another, so they migrated to his old room. The two of them had an interesting encounter in there. It happened once or twice... back in the day.

Stephen thought about it as he slowly brought his dark pants up over his legs. Tony kept quiet and he pondered on a few things. He hadn't been "alone" with Stephen like that in a long time.

The desire for it snuck up on him. He looked over at the quiet wizard as he fixed all the straps that were on his legs.

"Better now?"

Tony had to grin. He heard a soft laugh escape Stephen's mouth as he strapped up his legs. The Sorcerer Supreme stood up from that bed and he covered his chest with his dark blue tunic.

"Right as rain Tony."

He held a sarcastic tone as he glanced down at Tony's body. The brunette turned over, but he didn't cover up a damn thing. Tony was very confident. He was sexy, tenacious, and fearless. Stephen kept staring at him.

He swallowed what he thought as he started focusing on the straps on his arm. Maheerppp... Tony saw that look. He brought himself up and he stopped Stephen from getting himself all dressed and strapped up. Tony gripped his hands and put an end to all of that fussing about.

"You're not better. Stop lying."

Stop dressing yourself up. That's what Tony told him before they started kissing again. Stephen just relaxed in those hands and he went for it. He was angry about it. Tony drove him nuts, but the sorcerer always gave in.

That strong opinion of Tony currently didn't exist in the younger Stephen. He kept all of his thoughts about Tony to himself the entire time. He let only one thing slip, and he hoped that Tony forgot all about it.

They were still on the road and Stephen brought something up about his training.

"I've been learning how to enter the subconscious parts of the human mind. I can enter dreams. My older self and Clea have been teaching me, as I sleep. I guess I don't sleep?"

They were talking about entering the "astral form". Tony was a bit behind with all that stuff, but he was listening. He secretly told himself that he could listen to Stephen talk all day long. His voice was soft.

In that moment, Tony realized that he had never heard him raise his voice. It was powerful, but he never spoke loudly. Uhh, Tony glanced over toward Victor and then he cleared his throat.

"AY, don't go snooping around my dreams. That's top secret."

Tony playfully laughed at his own comment. His dreams weren't that bad. He had some yummy thoughts, but ...

"Don't worry Tony, I don't think I could stomach all of that ...fairytale prince stuff."

Stephen tried to tell a joke. He was also curious about Tony's relationship with Steve. He had a smile as he watched the road. Tony's face dropped. The brunette held onto a pretty confused look. Fairytale prince stuff? Uhhhhh... say what?

"UHM, what does that mean?"

They had been driving for a long time. They talked about a whole bunch of stuff for centuries. Now, it seemed like Victor was asleep. Tony glanced at him again, as Stephen started preparing to turn off the highway.

"I mean Steve. He's your fairytale prince, right? I was just.."

Stephen was trying to be funny. He thought about what he said. The would-be-sorcerer thought that he said something that was a bit too revealing. He changed his tone and flipped on the blinker to exit the highway.

"We should be close to the hotel. Can you look out for it?"

It was dark as hell on the road, and Tony was supposed to be helping. Stephen turned left at the light, and Tony just kept staring. He thought about the letter for a moment. The brunette closed his eyes.

He let the comment go and he started hunting for the hotel. Stephen started feeling awkward. He figured that something was off between Tony and Steve.

Tony was currently in a car with him... he wasn't with the fairytale prince at the moment, so..

He started thinking that they broke up. Or that he messed up and insulted Tony. Stephen was about to apologize, but Tony pointed out where the hotel was.

Stephen parked and he checked on his brother. Victor was asleep. Stephen heard Tony unbuckle his seatbelt so he slowly looked over at him.

Tony was about to get out. His mood was off and he felt... weird. The brunette thought about it as he stared at Stephen's shirt. It was a dark t-shirt. It was just as clean as Steve's. Super clean, but dark.

"Yeah? Well, your dreams would be filled with stupid ...tinker bells, or all of your other girlfriends. How many did you have again?"

Tony kinda lost track. Ok, Christine and Clea. Two wasn't that bad, but he tried to counter what Stephen said. Comments about Steve Rogers just rubbed him the wrong way. It felt like a low blow.

Stephen almost rolled his eyes. He unbuckled his own seatbelt and stared back at Tony. Victor was still asleep so he decided to say something.

"I don't have any girlfriends, if that's what you're getting at."

Pshhyah. Tony wasn't getting at anything. He scoffed off what that jerk said to him as Stephen quietly got out of his own car. Tony kinda grumbled there in the seat.

He got out and shut the door. He saw Stephen digging around in the trunk.

"Well, I don't have a fairytale prince. If that's what you were getting at with your comment. I let him go."

"I wasn't asking Tony."

Stephen shut the trunk, but then he remembered that Tony and Victor had stuff in it as well. He rolled his eyes again and opened it back up.

The whole discussion felt weird. It felt like they were trying to navigate around some peculiar issue. Tony scratched the side of his head. Victor woke up after the trunk was slammed. His sleepy eyes looked out the back window.

"Cool. So, you're not asking ...and I wasn't getting at anything."

Tony was SO GLAD all of that was cleared up. He kindly took his things from Stephen Strange and he hunted around for his wallet. Tony planned to purchase his own room so he could go have some wonderful fairytale dreams.

Stephen wasn't sure how to proceed. He could tell that he offended Tony. The sorcerer-in-training could see that he struck a nerve and he struggled with what he wanted to say.

"I might have been asking..."

There. He tried to fix it. Stephen spoke softly as the final car door opened. Victor got out of the car and he yawned very loudly. The youngest one stretched his arms as far as he could.

Tony just stared at Stephen. The big brother started focusing on Victor. He rolled his bag over to him and he started talking about how he was going to get the room.

Tony continued feeling off about everything. He kept staring blankly and digging around for his wallet.

WAS HE ASKING, OR NOT?! Tony was getting close to flipping out. He bit his tongue on all of that and paid for a damn hotel room.
