At El Pueblo De Pepper, the Klue Queens were celebrating Saffron's 34th birthday. Leah and Estrella were joining in a sombrero dance game, Rylie and Kirby were participating in a nacho eating contest, and Kaylin, Paige, and Tania were getting involved in a piñata game. After Paige removed her blindfold after failing to break it, she gave the stick to Tania, blindfolded her and spun her three times.

"Gee, Saffron," she said to the birthday girl. "It was so nice of us to invite you to your 34th birthday.

"You're only a young adult once," chuckled Saffron.

"That is true," smiled Kaylin.

"Excuse me," said a female waitress. "Care for a cracker?"

"Don't mind if we do, Perry," answered Saffron as she took one.

Looking down, Kaylin could see that Perry was wearing worn out shoes that were from the 1930s. After Perry left to serve more customers, Kaylin felt suspicious.

By the door, a Latino man with a question mark shirt popped up and started giving out "Save the Beavers" pictures. "Save the beavers, dudes!"

"That's Soos Ramirez," explained Saffron, "an old friend of my parents. He came here to be the DJ and the 'Save the Beavers' rally at the park.

"Beavers are a part of nature, Saffron," declared Soos. "And you must be the Klue Queen they call Kaylin."

After Kaylin nodded her head, Tania removed her blindfold and gave the stick and the blindfold to Kaylin. After Kaylin blindfolded herself and spun three times, she started whacking the piñata.

"I know how to handle these things without a blindfold nor a bat," interrupted Soos.

He got out a slingshot, then tossed some really sharp churros at the rope holding the witch-shaped piñata. The pinata fell and candy came out. The patrons were mad, but were glad to see the candy.

After Kaylin removed her blindfold, she saw a cute Latino boy talking to Saffron. Curiously enough, she decided to talk to them.

"Kaylin," said Saffron, "this is my new boyfriend Armani, ghost-hunting enthusiast and worker at Ripple Cake."

"I've seen you at the grand opening," recalled Kaylin. "You're the guy who was giving out fliers for the upcoming Halloweeen special 'Thriller Cakes,' named after Michael Jackson's song 'Thriller'."

"Believe me," replied Armani, "I've studied each of his moves, and that's what made Saffron fall for me. But that's not why I'm here. I was getting my pet sheepdog BooBerry when I spotted a ghost that looked like a 1930s nurse."

"Did somebody say ghost?" asked Soos. "This will be a great present for Saffron. I was so busy running The Mystery Shack, dating my Melody, and playing video games, I forgot to get her a present."

"You don't have to give me anything, Soos," replied Saffron. "You can join the Klue Queens."

"I'm all partied out anyway," admitted Rylie. "I had enough nachos for one day."

"And I'm stuffed on candy," replied Candy. "Where is this ghost anyway?"

Remembering that he was picking up his sheepdog, the Klue Queens figured that the ghost was at Dr. Japon's Jungle Hospital.

When they arrived at Dr. Japon's Jungle Hospital, Dr. Japon and Pineapple were waiting word from the Kirby Klue Queens. From their van, the Klue Queens arrived to the scene of the crime.

"Sorry we're late, Dr. Japon," Leah said. "We had to get out of Saffron's birthday party."

"Thank you." Dr. Japon replied, "And I see that Pineapple in thrilled to see Swinger again."

Swinger and Pineapple bounced with joy and gave each other a nose kiss. Cautiously, Tania asked about the ghost nurse.

"Before this was a vet," Dr. Japon explained, "this used to be a small hospital during the two-month Leprchaun Pox epidemic. The citizens at that time had too look all over town for a leprechaun. Luckily, the head nurse Ingrid Drey found a leprechaun and cured all the sick patients. After curing them with some leprechaun-dusted potatoes, she decided to use the dust for personal gain. The leprechaun didn't want to make her expose the secret about Lititz Heights being a magic sanctuary, so he decided to lock her away, hoping it'd teach her a lesson. Sadly, she died from drowning her sorrows in poison. Now her ghost haunts the winter nights. And this is why I close early at night. I don't want any bad ghosts causing trouble."

When asking for any clues about the ghosts, Dr. Japon explained that the ghost could be a fake, because she left a t-shirt with the El Pueblo De Pepper logo.

"This can only mean one thing," stated Leah. "The culprit is a worker from El Pueblo De Pepper."

"Has any of you guys ever watched 'Monday Night Live'?" called Soos from the van. "It's a cool show. Also, look at the plus size kilt I found in Leah's backpack, dudes. It fits me like a glove."

Leah explained that she had to bring Soos in order to capture the ghost. Before the girls could go on and investigate, Pineapple came up and opened the door for them.

"Looks like Pineapple wants to help too," said Candy.

"That's my Uncle Wayne's," Leah replied. "He and Mom told me that a friend of theirs gave him that."

"Enough small talk," Tania replied. "Since the culprit had to be someone from El Pueblo De Pepper, let's go over the suspects on who would be the ghost."

Suspects

Perry Rivas(Water at El Pueblo De Pepper)- Dressed similar to a 30s nurse.

Armani Enriquez(Saffron's new boyfriend and ghost hunting enthusiast)- Experience in ghost hunting.

Beckett Palacios(Chef at El Pueblo De Pepper)- Thought Armani is a little odd.

Later, as they were looking around the hospital, Swinger and Pineapple smelled something suspiscious in one of the room. After Tania did a little lock picking, they could see a bunch of antiques that were from the 1930s. "Since when did Dr. Japon started collecting '30s memorabilia?" she asked.

"I don't think she did," Estrella suggested. "She usually collects faux monkey stuff in order to remind everyone that monkeys are important to nature."

"And beavers!" shouted Soos and he unintentionally scared the heck out of Estrella and Tania. Swinger and Pineapple growled at Soos for being annoying.

"Why don't you go find Leah and Paige?" advised Tania to Soos. "Swinger and Pineapple don't seem to be okay with you interupting our investigation." Soos felt sad about it, but he decided to do what Tania said.

Meanwhile at one of the patient's room, Leah and Paige were going around the place when they spotted Soos wearing Leah's uncle's kilt again, much to her dismay.

"Be careful with that kilt," growled Leah. "It's very delicate."

"Kilts are awesome, dudettes," replied Soos as he started feeling a rush of cold air, "but not cold winters at a former creature hospital."

They looked at the window and saw that it wasn't open. By the door, they could see a 1930s nurse ghost. It was the ghost of Ingrid Drey. As they were dancing their way out, Leah and Paige got a little bit of white stuff on their shoes.

Outside the room, they took off their shoes and realized that the white powder was really talcum powder. Paige could remember using talcum powder whenever a Friendly Scout got an awful rash.

"I get rashes sometimes too whenever I go camping," interrupted Soos. "Not only do I use talcum powder, but rash creams too."

Later they caught up with Rylie and Kaylin in the security room going over files for evil ghosts. On Ingrid's file, they could tell that after her death, the Ghost Zone arrested her for her greediness. After Leah and Paige told them about the ghost that was trying to haunt them and the talcum powder that was on their shoes. Kaylin figured out who might be the ghost nurse.

A few hours later, Armani, Saffron, and Beckett were arriving at Dr. Japon's Jungle Hospital to catch footage of the nurse ghost. Saffron recalled that this is Soos's birthday present to her and the best presents come from the heart. Inside, they got out their phone cameras and started recording when they spotted Soos doing some Scottish dancing and shouting, "Kilts are awesome, dudes!"

Saffron and Armani laughed, but Beckett was puzzled by Soos's behavior. Suddenly, Ingrid's ghost came up and got out a needle.

"Dude!" shouted Soos. "I had all my shots!"

Little did the ghost know, the Klue Queens were spying on them. "Paige." whispered Leah, "do you still have those gummy bugs from the party?"

Paige nodded her head, got out the gummy bugs and whisepred to the little puffball, "Kirby, suck it up!"

With one suck of the gummy bugs, Kirby turned into Beetle Kirby. Using his copy ability, Kirby cut the mask off of nurse ghost, revealing to be Perry Rivas.

"You're the dudette who served us those crackers," declared Soos.

Dr. Japon came out and was surprised to see that one of her rudest clients was the ghost. "I remember her ex-husband being one of Lititz Heights' real estate agents."

"Perry wanted to get real estate from Dr. Japon's Jungle Hospital," explained Tania. "There were clues like the El Pueblo De Pepper iron on shirt left behind. Perry not only dressed like a nurse from the 1930s, but she also collected '30s memorabilia. Plus, the talcum powder made her look like a ghost."

"And remember when we were at the party?" recalled Kaylin. "She had worn out shoes that looked like something from the '30s. Figuring that she's clinging onto the past."

"That's right," recalled Perry. "I heard rumors about Ingrid's haunting and while I was at Dr. Japon's a while back, I heard it also had a great value to open up a 1930s memorabilia museum. I should never had use that old hospital room to store my '30s memorabilia collection for genuine effects."

Just a few days later, Perry was doing community service by pet-sitting every pet Lititz Heights, including Little Miss Starlight, Swinger, Pineapple, Sumo, and Masahiro.

At the McBruces's house, Leah and Tania were watching Perry paying her debt to society when their mother came in.

"Girls," smiled Ms. McBruce. "How was school today?"

"It was great, Mother," answered Leah. "We got As on our language arts classes and in my sewing classes, we learned about the history of kilts."

Ms. McBruce froze for a bit, but smiled. "Well, Uncle Wayne and my friend would've loved it." she replied. "Plus, many patrons outside Lititz Heights have been coming around to get some medical advice from Dr. Japon after your friend Soos used Uncle Wayne's kilt for that little stunt he pulled."

Leah and Tania smiled because they were glad to have a weirdo like Soos help them out.

The End.
