"Morning Den." Ricky smiles as her sister in law walks out, Casey trailing a few seconds behind.

"Morning!" She grins.

"Someone's in a good mood." Ricky comments.

"I wonder why." Brax mutters, seeing Casey blush.

"Shouldn't you be getting to work?" Casey says to Denny, who nods with a smile, whispering something in his ear which makes him blush more. "See you later." She says, walking out the door with a skip in her step.

"Use protection, we don't need any more babies around Kyle for a while." Brax says.

"We are!" Casey frowns, rubbing his face to stop himself blushing, and he knew Brax was right, Kyle wouldn't cope with another baby around this soon. "We don't even want kids yet, and Denny's on the pill. You don't have to worry about that."

"Good."

"There's plenty of time for that. Enjoy your marriage first." Ricky smiles. "Heath mentioned you were starting to save up to go travelling again?"

"Yeah it won't be for a while yet, maybe a couple years, but there's a couple places we didn't get to go. Italy's one of them, but we said we'd go with Kyle. I don't know if that's still on the table, or if he'd wait a few years. Either way, it would be better to start now so we don't have to massively budget closer to the time." Casey explains as he grabs himself some breakfast from the side.

"Yeah, I'm not sure if Kyle would still want to. Lillie was named after his mum, who was Italian. I might all be a bit much for him for a while." Brax says.

"Yeah, that's what I thought. It's up to him though, we won't mind either way." Casey says, sitting down at the table with them. "Where's Emilia?"

"Down for her morning nap." Ricky says, gesturing to the baby monitor.

"Isn't it too early for that?"

"She was up a lot last night, so I moved it forward." Ricky says.

"Is that normal?"

"I spoke to the midwife this morning, and she said everything sounded fine. If we still had some concerns later, then to take her in for a check up." Ricky says.

"She's just causing trouble." Brax faintly smirks, not surprised about it.

"Yeah, she is a Braxton after all." Ricky rolls her eyes.

"Just wait until the terrible twos, that's when the Braxton genes will come out." Casey laughs.

"Don't remind us." Brax shakes his head, not even wanting to think about how bad they're going to be.

"Hopefully she's got her mum's calm side when she gets to that age." Ricky says, earning a scoff from both brothers. "Okay, I can hope!"

"We'll just enjoy this time right now. It's going to be the calmest time of her life for a while." Brax says.

"She'll be in school before we know it." Ricky mutters, staring off into the distance. "Then she'll be having boyfriends, drinking, partying, getting married and having her own kids."

"Ricky, she's 3 months old." Brax says, not wanting to think of himself as a grandad for years yet. "She won't grow up that fast."

"Yeah, I know."

"Right, I better get to work and see what mess Heath left after his shift yesterday." Casey says as he stands up, putting his bowl in the sink.

"Can you make sure the books are up to date? We've got audits coming up next week." Brax says.

"Already?" Casey moans, getting a nod in reply. "You could have given me more warning! I'm still trying to sort through the mess Heath left when I was travelling."

"Case, I can't help that. Take yourself off bootcamps to give yourself more time. The books are more important." Brax says.

"Okay!" Casey moans as he walks towards the door.

Brax's POV

"Rick, we'll seriously be fine. She just knows how to wind you up already." I smirk as Ricky put her hands on her hips.

"What if she's ill or something?" She asks.

"She's fine! IF anything happens, I'll take her straight down to the hospital. But she's going to be fine, an extra nap and you won't know the difference." I say. I know she's only worrying, but Emilia will be fine. "Isn't Bianca waiting for you?"

"Yes. I think she said Heath might come over, so do not wake Emilia up when you watch the footy. I'm not stupid, I know that's why you really wanted us girls to go out." She says, still standing firm.

"If the footy was the reason we said that, we would have told you to take the kids." I say, smiling at her face as I pick Emilia up from her cot. "Just go and enjoy yourself, I've got it covered here."

"Okay… I'll see you later." She says, kissing me and Emilia before walking out the door as I look down at Emilia.

"We'll show you who the best footy team to support is, just don't tell your mum."

I smile down at her, wondering how she could be so sweet and innocent, when that would not be the case in years to come. She was definitely going to have the Braxton gene, just hopefully less of the bad ones. The last thing I would need is a trouble maker.

Then I start thinking about Kyle. He was going to be home soon and I have no idea how he's going to be around Emilia. What if it gets too much for him, what do I do then? He could choose to move out so he wouldn't have to face being around a baby everyday, or even distance himself from her. Either way it's going to be like losing him all over again.

I just want Emilia to know what a great uncle he could be, but how do I do that when it would remind him of everything he's missing out on with Lillie? He was a great dad to her, something we never had growing up. He proved everyone wrong when she arrived, he changed into a new man, one to be proud of and for her to look up to once she was older. I just wish he'll be able to have that again one day.

"Brax?" Heath's here already, Bianca must have kicked him out as soon as Ricky went over, which isn't surprising.

"In here." I call out to him, seeing him walk into the flat moments later with Harley in his arms.

"Darcy stayed at her friends last night, so we're on baby duties whilst the girls go into Yabbie Creek." Heath says.

"I'm not a baby!" Harley pouts.

"Yeah you are."

"No I'm not!"

"When you stop pooping yourself and use the potty like we trained you to, then I'll stop calling you a baby." Heath says.

"I can use the potty."

"Then why don't you bother using it when you need to poop or pee?" Heath asks, not getting a reply, so he turns to his brother. "Take this as a warning. Potty training is so gross, so start early so they actually listen." He says.

I just laugh, knowing they had been struggling to get Harley to use the potty like they showed him. Then my phone started to ring, and I saw it was Pete, so put Emilia back down in her cot before answering it. Heath sat Harley down on the sofa to get him a drink whilst he waited what for the phone call to finish, which ended up being longer than expected.

"That was Pete." I say, now suddenly freaking out a bit.

"Has something happened to Kyle?" Heath asks, he must have noticed.

"He's ready to come home, I can go and get him tomorrow."

"That soon?" Heath says, a small smile appearing. "So he's finally doing well enough." He comments. "But what about this dog of his, are you going to let him keep it?"

"What do you think?" I reply, thinking to myself as Heath hands Harley his drink. "We're going to have to postpone the footy."

"Why?" Heath frowns.

"I haven't had change to search Kyle's room yet. I need to make sure everything sharp has been taken out, and he's got nothing in there that he could use to hurt himself."

"Right, let's do that then." Heath says.
