For a week, Sandaukan and his companions return to true, authentic piracy by sea, boarding merchant ships and escaping the squads of cruisers. The King of the Java Sea, however, is a vessel that consumes coal at will; with the increasing difficulties in entering ports to refuel and now squeezed between too many adversaries, the piracy leaders are forced to scrape together fuel in the holds of other ships. Out of coal, the King of the Java Sea is reached and sunk by an armed squadron, set up by Captain Dimak. He reveals himself to be the abandoned much younger brother of the Thug dragon, Suyodhana; Raised by a modest but loving squatter family but learned of his somewhat bloody legacy when he has turned twenty four, the man had already eaten the legs and arms of both his late birth mom and dad, when the creepy and callously sociopathic twenty year old Suyodhana abandoned him at only four years old, thus he fends for himself. But his love for little Darma and his moral principles that can shock even a rather infamous but much older brother would lead Sandaukan to clean up the act.
