Hey Everyone,

Hopefully, we are back on track now. As promised, we are going to the diner for breakfast. We also get to know something funny about Emmett. I hope that you guys are enjoying the story and be sure to check out "The Swan Family is Alright". That one will be for my uncle, and I am excited about your thoughts on it and this story.

After a few long-winded author's notes, I think I'll just jump back into the story. Let me know what you think and happy reading! I don't own any of the Twilight materials or characters, I just send them to breakfast with their parents.

Chapter 35: The Breakfast Club

"Bells, Rosie, Allie! Bells, Rosie, Allie! Bells, Rosie, Allie!"

"What the hell is that?" Alice said as she removed her sleep mask complete with embroidered closed eyes with lashes.

"Bells, Rosie, Allie! Bells, Rosie, Allie!"

Now that we were more awake, I could tell that it was Emmett yelling and banging on the door.

"Emmett Wesley McCarty! If you don't stop banging on that door right now, so help me…" Rose Trailed off.

"Wesley!" Alice and I squealed.

"Emmy, your middle name is Wesley?" I asked, giggling.

"Yeah," Rose answered. "Mrs. McCarty loves The Princess Bride."

"Rosie," Emmett whined. "Why would you tell them that?"

"Sorry, Emmy. Sisters tell each other everything," Rose answered.

"Ugh. Can you guys just get dressed so that we can go to the diner? I'm starving."

"As you wish," we all said at the same time. We tried to hold back our laughter. Really, we did but the fact that we had all been on the ball made the moment perfect. We could hear Emmett's lightly hit the door, and it was over.

"Just come on, please."

After a few "inconceivables" and one very good Inigo impression from Jasper, we had had our fill of teasing Emmett. For now. As it was turning out to be a nice day, Esme insisted that we all walk to the diner.

The diner was called Margie's, and it was a town staple. Everyone in town goes there for the food or company. Papa Swan has taken Nessie and me there for breakfast every Sunday for as long as I could remember. Margie went to school with Nana and Papa, and she was one of Nana's closest friends. Even though Margie can't do a lot of the cooking of serving anymore, she was sitting at the counter, talking to all of the regulars that decided to amble each day.

When we made it to the diner, Momma and Daddy had already reserved a couple of tables in the back and pushed them together for us.

"Esme Cullen, long time, no see, Sweetie," Margie greeted. "My God, that can't be little Edward. He must have shot up half a foot since last spring," she said as she came over Oh, Bella, Sweetheart. Good to see you again. And a day early, even though I'm sure your Papa Charlie will be in here with you girls tomorrow, just like clockwork. You know, he used to take your Daddy here every Sunday, too? So nice to do something like that with the grandchildren. Don't you two think so? Well, you will when you get to that bridge, I bet."

I could see why people affectionately call her mile-a-minute Margie. In a matter of two minutes, she had involved all three of us in a separate conversation, asked questions, and didn't even wait for a nod or an answer.

"Well, CJ and Renée are over there with the little one. You girls are just so adorable. Oh, Rosie and Allie May, good to see you girlies again. Emmett McCarthy, Jasper Whitlock, I trust you boys are going to behave. I'd hate to have to throw you out like I did the Newton and Crowley boy last weekend…" she gave them a stern look that only a seasoned grandma could deliver until they nodded. "Well, you better go on over there Nesmee is chomping at the bit to see her big sissy. She told me you left her for the whole night. Poor thing." She said, shaking her head with a smile and a wink. She let us go then.

Margie's was pretty much your run of the mill, small-town diner. Counter-top in front of the kitchen, booths lining the other wall of the restaurant. Margie's husband had expanded into the back of their property while Momma and Daddy were in high school. Papa, Daddy, Grampa Higginbottom, and a few of the men that they had gone to school with had helped them with the renovations. They had it done in two weeks. The walls were all wooden paneling with a dark stain. The counters and the floors in white, black, and lavender – Margie's favorite color – and the booths were upholstered in a darker heather gray plush leather.

Margie pointed to the back room where she tended to seat bigger groups. You can't really see the front of the diner from back here but as we walked, I could see Momma, Daddy, and Renesmee. Margie was right. Nesmee was nearly out of her seat, bouncing. As we entered the room, Daddy pointed his finger toward the doorway. Ness whipped around and leaped out of her seat.

"Sisi, Sisi! You're here! You're here! I missed you soooooooo much! Where have you been? We've been here for hours!" She made it to me and wrapped her arms around my waist. I picked her up and walked over to the table.

"Nesmee, we've been here for 15 minutes. Hi, Sweetheart, how was your night?" Momma asked as she got up to greet everyone, she came to me and hugged both of us. "I know that Esme is about to tell me how you were a wonderfully behaved young lady, right?"

"She was fine, very well behaved. The girls were up all night talking and giggling. The boys were the rowdy ones. I would say everyone finally went to bed a little after midnight," Esme answered as she hugged Momma.

"Cyn and Sarah just texted me a few minutes ago. They should be here pretty quick. Then we can tell the kids about the surprise," Mom said with a wink.

"Oh, you got them then?" Esme asked. Mom nodded, and they both smiled. "Alright, kids. Go get settled and we'll order once they get here." Mom and Daddy had moved a few tables together so that we were all sitting at one big table.

"Alice, what do you think the surprise is?" I asked as we sat down. Rose had pushed Edward away from the seat next to Emmett, leaving only the seat next to me open. Real subtle, Rose. As we sat down, we heard the unmistakable voice of Margie greeting new patrons as they walked in. "Cynthia and Andrew. Well, you two are looking fit. So good to see you both. Your extended family is in the back. Renée said you were waiting for Billy and Sarah, too. You go on back there, and I come back and get all your orders when they get here."

"Nice to see you, too, Margie. Thank you." Mrs. Brandon said. The Brandons came around the corner then. They entered the back of the diner, and Alice made a bee-line for her parents.
"Morning Marmee, Daddy. How was your night? Did you miss me?" Alice asked, fluttering her eyelashes and making her parents laugh.

"Hello, Allie-bear. Mr. Brandon said as he hugged her tight. Of course, we missed you. We did not, however, miss walking around the whole town. My feet didn't know what was happening last night when they got to stay in their slippers all night."

We all laughed as they came around the table and took the seats next to my parents.

"Did you tell them, Rae-Rae?" Mrs. Brandon asked as she sat down. Mom nodded and Cynthia's squeal could only be rivaled by her daughter's. God only knew what they were so excited about. I looked at Alice, and she and Rose shrugged. Well, I guess we'll find out soon enough. We all sat down and got settled while we waited for Sarah and Billy.

"I wish your parents would get here already, Jake," Alice whined as she jumped and twitched in her seat. "I can't wait to figure out what the surprise is."

"Allie, calm down," I said. "It's been like 5 minutes. I'm sure you'll survive." and everyone laughed as Alice started to pout.

Two more minutes of Alice – the jittery, caffeinated squirrel – and Sarah and Billy and Mr. and Mrs. Hale and Henry came into the back room followed by Margie.

"Alright, now that everyone is here, why don't I take your orders," Margie said as she turned to a new sheet on her carbon order pad. Once she was ready, she went around the table for all of our orders. Daddy, Billy, Andrew, Carl, and Mr. Hale all got the logger's platter – 2 scrambled eggs 5 pieces of bacon, a serving of home fries, and two pieces of toast. Momma got a Denver omelet, Esme and Cynthia got Huevos Rancheros, Sarah and Evelyn ordered Margie's breakfast special. Margie wasn't surprised that Nesmee and I ordered our usual – French toast with powdered sugar and blueberry syrup. Edward, Jake, Emmett, and Jasper thought that they were "big boys", so they decided to order the logger platter, too. Alice and Rose thought that the French Toast sounded good, so they order that too, and Henry ordered Dinosaur pancakes. Margie wipes the imaginary sweat off of her forehead and went to tell the kitchen our order. After she was gone, all of the moms looked over at Momma.

"Alright," Momma giggled. "I guess that means that I'm in charge. Okay, so, as Bella has reminded me every time the trailer is on TV, the Moonlight movie comes out in…" She trailed off and looked at me with a wink.

"17 days," I said shyly.

Momma laughed and continued. "Well, they are having a midnight showing at the theater in Port Angles. So, we moms got together and bought tickets for all of us, even the boys if they want to go. Your dads said they weren't going to go, especially on opening night."

"Really? You're going to let us stay up for the midnight showing on a school night?" I said. This couldn't be my mother.

"Well, you guys have that Friday off, too. But we're just going to Port Angles, so it shouldn't be too bad. If the boys want to stay home we can make a girls' day out of it. We girls could stay at one house and the boys can stay with your Dads in a different house."

"Mommy, do I get to go too?" Nessie asked.

"Of course, Sweet girl," Momma said. "I said all of you, didn't I? You can sleep on the ride home, baby girl."

"Yay! Bella, can I sit with you and Alice?"

"Of course, Nemsee. If it's okay with Alice."

"Sure thing, Ness," Alice answered.

"So," Momma said looking at the boys, "What do you boys want to do? I know it's not the most boy orientated movie, but it could be fun to all go to the movie together?"

"It sounds fun to me," Edward said. "Finally getting to see what the girls are always talking about."

Emmett and Jake shrugged. "Yeah," Emmett said, "why not? It can't be that bad."

"Sure," Jasper said.

"Sounds good," Momma said. "Looks like we're all going."

We are cheered, and we girls started to talk about what we thought the movie was going to be like.

"How about we all meet at our house," Esme said. We could leave early and have an early dinner before we get in line at the theater."

This was such a good surprise, and I was really excited to finally see the movie.

End Note: Next up … Breakfast Date with Papa Swan. Later ... the Movie premiere. See you next Tuesday. Remember to look out for my new story.
