Entry 64: 7.23.80 "Progressive Computing"

Well, we did it. I can't explain it, but we managed to set up a grid of computers. The council approved our idea and we now have 16 terminals all connected. Any program installed on one can be read and played on any connected terminal. I wonder if we could actually upload all the library of congress onto it if we had enough connected. I know we have the holotapes in the library, but there's well over 500 of them. If we could upload them in the grid we wouldn't have to keep searching for them, it would make it a hell of a lot easier-though I suppose you'd still have to search through the files virtually the same way you do with physical holotapes. Maybe we could figure out some way to sort them? Either way, we'd have to upload them first before we do anything.
