Alright ladies and gentlemen. We've reached the end.
This is Day 30: Doing something hot.
Benny and Luan were visiting Lori and Bobby in Great Lakes City.
"So," Lori said. "You ready to go, or what?"
"So ready," Bobby said to her.
"Where exactly are we going anyway?" Benny asked.
"You must be off to Boogie Burgers," Rosa Casagrande said.
"How come I never heard of Boogie Burgers?" Benny asked.
Hector Casagrande answered, "you guys haven't been visiting the city often enough. Boogie Burgers is the hottest spot for teenagers and college kids to hang out at when their classes end".
Frida Puga added, "anyone between the ages of 12 and 24 can enter. They got sweet treats as well as the hottest area for karaoke".
"You know," Luan said. "I don't know why, but I feel like this is going to be the hottest date Benny and I have ever been on".
Bobby commented, "it's going to be the hottest date for me and Lori as well. We're going to have a blast"!
"I can hardly wait," Benny said. "Where is this place anyway?"
Carlos answered, "204th Street. The GLART Train can take you there. We know the closest stop you can get on at".
With that, the 4 of them exited the Casagrandes' apartment and started making their way over to 204th Street.
While on the train, they were still curious about this hot place.
"I hope it's not too out of control," Lori said. "I don't want anyone hurting my little sister".
Luan knew she was going to be okay.
The second they arrived at Boogie Burgers, Luan said to the others, "this is the hottest place in town? It looks more like another everyday diner".
The others agreed before stepping inside. That was when it started getting hot in a good way.
"Woah," Benny said. "Look at this place".
The seats and flooring were from the 80s. There were strobe lights like back in the 70s, and the design looked 90s.
The 4 of them found a table.
One of the workers welcomed them in.
"Greetings," the worker said. "You must be new to this place".
"Yeah we are," Luan said.
After telling them what the diner's all about, the worker gave them their menus.
Luan and Benny wanted something special to share. The same went for Lori and Bobby, so the 4 of them got 2 different 2 for 1 specials. The specials came with juicy chicken, burgers, fries and a free soda of any choice.
When their food arrived, the 4 of them thanked the worker.
"This is one hot diner," Bobby said.
"I'll say," Lori said. "We literally need to come more often".
Somewhere in between eating and looking at some of the other people there, Luan can't help but think about how long the place must have been around.
"Why do I feel like this place opened back in '93?" Luan asked.
One of the other people told them, "the diner actually opened in November of '92. This place has been open from 2 to 10-pm daily, but temporarily closed during the famous blizzard of '96".
The others couldn't believe it.
"That's cool," Benny said.
A short time later, the MC there announced, "alright people. I'm looking for some people who wanna get their singing on. Who wants to take the mic?"
Lori and Bobby volunteered first. The 2 of them sang "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.
When that song ended, Luan and Benny decided to take the mic. The 2 of them sang "Blame It On the Boogie" by the Jacksons. Everyone at Boogie Burgers enjoyed their performances.
A while later, Benny, Bobby, Lori and Luan arrived back at the Casagrandes' apartment.
"We're back!" Luan said.
"Hey," Frida Puga said. "How was it?"
"It was the best experience any of us could've ever had". Luan said, "you should've seen Lori and Bobby sing their hearts out to that song".
"What can I say?" Lori commented. "Bobby and I love those slow jams".
"It's true," Bobby replied. "You should've seen Benny and Luan. They got the whole diner on its feet with their dancing".
"Benny sure does have a way to get down on the dance floor," Luan said.
"So do you, Luan," Benny said. "The 4 of us were thinking about heading back there one day in the coming future".
"Yeah," Bobby said. "Carlota and CJ should come as well".
Everyone was in total agreement.
It was still going to be not until tomorrow before Luan and Benny returned to Royal Woods, so the Casagrandes offered some space for them to sleep for the night.
That ends Day 30: Doing something hot.
Thanks for coming along on this one crazy, silly, memorable journey that I'm sure no one will forget anytime soon.
