Ron POV:

We each all wore a couple extra pieces of clothing to block out some of the autumn chills as we walked. As much as I enjoyed staying in the hospital wing having barely any homework other than reminders to review of which I completely ignored, it would become dull soon. Fortunately, Harry and I managed to leave before Hallowe'en, him only an afternoon earlier before me. However, these past few days we hadn't gotten any opportunities to rest. As soon as we exited, the teachers all gave us our piled up homework. Although the time limit was more favourable considering that we had just recovered, but the workload was still incredibly immense! Even worse, Hermione was still in the hospital wing, since she had gotten the virus a few days after us. I could imagine what she would say if I asked her for assistance. "Ron, this is why you had to review your material when we stayed in the hospital wing!" Thinking more on the situation, I would rather be back in the hospital wing with her. Though, Madam Pomfrey Hermione should be coming out in a few days, maybe less.

However, there was no way I would be working on Hallowe'en. Thus, Harry, Percy and I all decided to walk around Hogwarts before curfew came in, and we had to go back to the dormitories. Inhaling as we walked together, I remarked. "Have you ever noticed how fresh air smells so good?"

"That's the fourth time you talked about the air, only second to how many times you talked about unconstrained you feel," Harry said.

"It's true, though," I replied. "I can't believe the teachers gave us so much homework! How much have you finished? Maybe I could do half of our homework, and you could do the other half; then we copy off of each other?"

"Don't you think the teachers would notice?" Harry responded. "Ugh, I spent so much time last night trying to memorize a new potion, the ingredients are all complex and the procedure is so confusing,"

"Potions!" I asked, incredulous. "You don't even need to try hard, just get something passable, and Slughorn will be all over you praising," Due to the virus, the Slug Club had momentarily stopped, but it seems that Slughorn was still trying to establish relations giving his members extravagant get well cards that boasted about Slughorn's own relations. "I haven't even started on that. I keep on messing up on that stupid rainbow charm, it's easy enough, but Professor Flitwick is really pushing us, isn't he?" Professor Flitwick had revealed that we would have a small evaluation in a couple of days, testing how big we could make the rainbow as well as how long it would last, the requirement being at least 3 and a half minutes. "I can barely do it for one minute half!"

"I'm almost at two minutes," Harry said, then turned to Percy who was next to us. "Percy, you gotta help me and Ron, how did you do on that evaluation again?"

"I managed to get about 8 minutes, I practised a lot. I'll try my best to help you, but I might not be much assistance," We continued to walk and chat when suddenly there was an unexpected feeling of apprehension came. It was as if something was watching us intensely, about to devour us completely. All of a sudden, Percy tackled us to the side where some sort of creature launched at us, it's movements at the moment too quick to be clearly seen. Soon following it, was another, and another. Immediately, we all brought out our wands, while Percy called out "Incendio!" causing a ring of fire to come alive around us. Harry and I turned to him with questioning looks on our faces. "Incendio?" Harry asked. "Why that spell?"

"Eh? It felt right," Soon, a pack of wolves surrounded us, their eyes glinting in the near darkness and saliva dripping down their mouth as they bared their canine teeth. I spat out a mild curse word. We had been walking for a while around Hogwarts, and I didn't notice that we arrived near the forbidden forest where all the weird was located. Wait? I thought. When were there wolves in the forbidden forest?

"Well, well, if this isn't the great Harry Potter I've heard so much about?" From the forest came the sounds of steady footsteps and a deep voice that gave one shivers resounding. Stepping forward was a man who seemed in many ways inhuman. His hair was dark and greasy, his robes were made of animal fur, though the most distinct was the smell of blood around him and his sharp teeth that looked strong enough to crunch a tree branch in half with one move easily. "I honestly expected more, you are only fresh meat for my hungry pack to devour." He didn't linger too much on us but instead turned to Percy whose eyes slightly widened before. "Percy Jackson, I never thought you'd turn into a boy's servant. From serving the- serving those above to working for a weak wizard who isn't exceptional in any way possible,"

Percy hadn't even responded when Harry spoke up. "He isn't my servant, he's my friend. Who are you?"

"Ask him," He said, gesturing to Percy again. "Although, I haven't personally fought with the great Percy Jackson in the past. I don't think he wouldn't be aware of my identity, being friends with the one who stabbed me last time, and lovers with that intelligent half-blood."

"Stabbed?" I turned to Percy. "Is this guy coming here for revenge against that friend who stabbed him?"

"Not necessarily," He said, giving a vicious smile that showed off his teeth. "But I will be certainly be looking forward to it. I've been told he's in the green house of the four, isn't he? But that doesn't matter too much, right now. When I come back, I can't wait to see your bloody bodies," After he finished speaking, the sound of steps increased and behind him, from the forbidden forest, several more wolves appeared, joining him as they charged towards Hogwarts castle, leaving only a couple to remain and fight us.
