Kappukeki thought, "Okay, it's just Mafin. Hopefully, he didn't sense-"
Mafin spoke up, "And why do I sense a lot of 21's energy, as well my own, emitting from you?"
"CRAP!"
Mafin raised an eyebrow in suspicion, "Kappukeki...who are you, and why are you really here?"
Kappukeki nervously exclaimed, "M-Mafin, please! L-Let me explain!"
Mafin folded his arms, a stern expression on his face, "Alright, then. Explain."
The heroine let out a sigh, and properly sat down on her rear, criss cross-style.
She patted the sand next to her, "Sit here."
Mafin reluctantly walked over to the heroine, and sat down.
Kappukeki took a deep breath, and said, "Okay. I am...another bio-android, like 21."
Mafin's eyes widened in shock, "Another bio-android?! H-How?!"
Kappukeki explained, "I was made to be the next android model after 21. I was originally called Android 22."
She grabbed a nearby stick and began drawing out the events, albeit in a crude manner, "Thankfully, I was quickly taken in by Bulma, who rewrote my programming, and renamed me with something a bit more Pesutorian."
Mafin questioned, "Wait, why would Bulma give you a Pesutorian name?"
"Be-Because..uh..", the heroine tried to think of a good reason, "...'Cause she became fascinated with Pesutorian culture."
"Um...okay, then.", said Mafin, who was still slightly puzzled by this. To him, it was quite odd that the Capsule Corp. scientist would give a Pesutorian name to a bio-android. He'd assume it would be something a bit more...undergarment-like. Then again, she was a scientist who was friends with three different aliens, so he could see her developing an interest in Pesutorian culture over time.
"Mafin? You okay?", asked Kappukeki.
Mafin snapped out of his thoughts, and exclaimed, "O-Oh! Sorry!"
Kappukeki smiled, "It's cool. So anyways, after getting acquainted with the Dragon Family, I began living at Capsule Corp. The following week, I enrolled at Satan City University, and in my downtime, I did some training sessions with Pan, Goten and Trunks."
Mafin was about to question her, when she quickly explained, "Goten is my Gohan's future younger brother, while the Trunks I'm referring to is NOT that Trunks. My Trunks is a lot more lax, a lot more chilled, which is kinda obvious, considering that he did NOT grow up in an apocalyptic future. So, uh, yeah!"
Mafin nodded, and Kappukeki continued, "One day, I saw this massive statue of you and Begu. And you guys were hailed as these big heroes who saved the world from some powerful villain. I was curious about who you guys even were, so I turned to the person who knew you two the best: Android 21."
"Wait, Kappukeki.', interrupted Mafin, "I was just curious. Does your 21 end up getting rid of her crazy side completely?"
Kappukeki nodded in response, "Yes. Yes, she does, thanks to Bulma creating a permanent cure for her condition."
Mafin sighed with relief, "At least one version of her is finally free of that side..."
Kappukeki added, "My 21 told me all of the wonderful, amazing times that she had experienced with the both of you guys. As time went on, I wanted to meet you two so, so, SO badly, and so I did. I grabbed my time travel ray gun, and...well, you know what happened next."
Mafin questioned, "But why didn't you go to your timeline's Mafin and Begu first?"
Kappukeki replied, "I can't say anything more. I'm sorry."
Mafin shook his head and sighed, "Well, okay. I apologize for briefly doubting you back there."
Kappukeki smiled, "It's fine, man."
Mafin looked at his future daughter in the eyes, "Just promise me that you won't hide anything else from now on. Please?"
Kappukeki nodded and said, "I promise."
The Pesutorian stood up, "Good night, Kappukeki."
"G'night, dude."
As Mafin walked back into the house, the heroine fell onto her back, and stared up at the stars.
She thought, "Holy cow, that was a close call. Can't let my father know anything else about my past..."
She stared at the stars for several more minutes, before slowly falling asleep.
In the morning, Kappukeki hopped up to her feet. She floated upwards, and began flying away from Kame House, quickly masking her energy in the process.
Kappukeki thought, "I really, really hope my favorite place is around here..."
She saw a large rock formation in the distance, and a large grin emerged on the heroine's face, "YES! I'm so freakin' happy!"
The heroine performed a powerful somersault as she happily soared through the air, getting closer and closer to her destination. She landed gracefully on the large rock formation, and sat down on the grainy surface.
She pulled out a small capsule from her pocket, threw it up in the air, and a acoustic guitar instantly appeared.
Kappukeki grabbed the instrument's neck, and brought down to her level. She began adjusting the pegs, strumming a few chords in the process, until she got to a sound just right to her liking.
Kappukeki started to play one of her favorite songs on the guitar, 'Steady As She Goes' by Sky Sailing. A song that not only made her become a fan of Owl City (or Adam Young's various projects in general), but it also made her want to pursue more creative things, like music.
Upon playing the rather peaceful sounding music, she looked up and saw several pterodactyls soaring across the red-orange sky of the sunrise.
At that moment, Kappukeki briefly stopped her session, and realized something: in the midst of taking her college classes, saving people, and constantly beating up bad guys and monsters...in the midst of all that...she had never taken in such a beautiful sight before.
The heroine let out a deep sigh, and thought, "If only you could see this wonderful sunrise with me, Father..."
Kappukeki resumed her session, and after a while, she finished the song.
