"Anteiku what a pretty name, for a coffee shop." Hadrian said as he entered said shop. Hadrian froze at the threshold, his instincts told him he was being stared at. Hadrian looked around the shop and saw who was staring at him. It just happened to be everyone.

The manager of the shop went around the counter to him. Said manager had to be in his seventies or maybe eighties judging by the color of his hair and the wrinkles he carried on his face. "Young man, would you please come with me? I wish only to talk." Hadrian nodded, his instincts telling him that the man was honest in his intentions.

Hadrian followed the manager to the back of the shop. He felt eyes on him the whole time. It was only when he was out of sight that the feeling stopped. "It's not often that we get such a strong Ghoul such as yourself in here. It also appears that you haven't eaten anything in a long time, thus the aura you were giving off. It was attracting too much attention to yourself from all the humans, and the scaring of my newest ward. Here, this should stop the craving for a short time, though I recommend eating something soon so this doesn't happen again." He said all this while handing Hadrian a cup of coffee with mysteriously colored cubes in it.

Hadrian drank the coffee and almost immediately felt better. "I'll take your words to heart, sir. Do you know of any grounds where I can hunt or perhaps easily takeover?" He smiled showing his remarkably sharp teeth.

The manager thought for a moment then answered "Yes I do, but I want your word that you will not cause a panic in the twentieth ward. I have worked hard to keep the peace between humans and ghouls here. I don't want the Doves bashing down my doors here."

Hadrian smirked then said "I'll try to, restrain, myself from causing a panic. You have my word."

"Alright," he gave Hadrian a wary look. "There are a pair of particularly nasty ghouls who hunt about four miles north of here. They have been eating a bit too much in that area and are close to causing a problem. By sending you there we will have less a problem and solve your hunger issues at the same time." He bowed. "You are welcome her anytime you want to. Just don't bring Doves here on purpose."

"It's getting late and I have a ways to go before I reach my future hunting grounds. I'll see you again soon." Hadrian walked through the door to the sitting room and almost walked into someone. It was a very pretty girl with blue eyes and hair. He smirked at her before leaving. As he left he saw the manager talking to the girl in a hushed voice.

Hadrian started jogging. It took him only thirty minutes to reach the hunting grounds. Almost immediately he ran into a pair of two ghouls eating what appeared to be fresh kills. There were at least six bodies in the alleyway. Hadrian smiled then whistled sharp and high, piercing the silence. Both ghouls looked at him with anger in their eyes. Both were female and appeared to be twins. "Who are you! You are trespassing on our feeding grounds!"

"You mean my feeding grounds." Hadrian replied

"So it's a challenge then. Come sister let's rip this fool to shreds!" They charged as one. Hadrian didn't move until they were two feet away. With one powerful and quick motion he slammed the ghoul on his right into the brick wall. With his keen hearing he heard several snaps and pops as her bones bent and broke. She lay there as if dead. The other ghoul screamed in rage and charged Hadrian with reckless abandon. She kicked, slashed, bit, and screeched, but nothing seemed to work on Hadrian. Finally having enough, Hadrian moved, faster than a bullet, he grabbed her head with one hand and slammed it fast and hard into the opposite wall. Blood, bits of bone, and brain matter flew everywhere as her head exploded.

The body fell to the ground, pouring blood everywhere. There was an agonizing scream coming from the surviving twin. She was leaning against the wall, no fight left in her. Hadrian walked over to her and plunged his hands into her chest. He pulled in opposite directions. Blood sprayed everywhere as her body was vertically split in half. Her head no longer attached to the body rolled down the alleyway coming to a stop at the feet of a wide eyed Touka.

Hadrian smiled sharply at her, making him look like a blood soaked devil. "Who are you and why did you follow me? You knew that this was going to happen. Unless you weren't told."

Not wanting to antagonize him she answered quickly. "Touka, I knew that this was what you were doing. I didn't expect you to survive though. Both of them were S rank ghouls. Just how powerful are you? And who are you?"

" Name's Hadrian. As to how powerful. That is for you to find out." Hadrian said mysteriously he raised his hand "You are welcome to join me if you want. This is a one time offer. So choose wisely. Touka hesitated then nodded and shook his hand. They ate their fill before disposing of the bodies.

"Do you have a place to stay?" Touka asked

"No, I just recently arrived here from Britain" Hadrian replied

"Your welcome so stay at my place. Until you get a place of your own. But if you pull any shit I'll not hesitate to kick your ass to the street. Wait a minute how are you still clean?"

Hadrian laughed and nodded his assent. "I have a secret. I'll tell you it if you gain my trust. Until then you will have to wonder how I'm clean." Hadrian followed her to her apartment. It was a nice small place not far from his grounds. "Nice place."

"Thanks, but unlike you I have to clean up. This is where you will be sleeping." She pointed to the couch "I'll be back, don't break anything." She gave him a look before leaving to the shower.

Around twenty minutes later they were both sitting on the couch watching television. They did this late unto the night. It was around three in the morning when they separated and went to bed. The following morning Hadrian woke up to the smell of coffee. Getting up he wandered into the kitchen.

Touka glanced his way and blushed faintly and looked away saying "Good morning". A little confused Hadrian looked down and saw the likely reason. He had no shirt on. His body was tone and in shape. It was the most likely reason for her strange greeting. He smirked and walked back to his bed and put a shirt on. When he returned he saw the small look of disappointment on her face when she handed him a cup.
