Lessons In Love: Chapter Sixty-Six: Something About Us (Part 5)

Victor Strange was scrubbing the left side of his teeth with his toothbrush. The young man kept thinking about his brother and how quiet he had become. He recalled that Stephen took a shower and barely said anything to him. He only mentioned two things. None of it was Tony related.

Stephen quietly said that he wanted to talk to their father before the week was over.

Victor didn't want to be present for that encounter. He wanted to stay far away from home, but Stephen was determined to talk to their parents about something. Victor told him to leave him out of it. He headed to brush his teeth, but Stephen's gentle voice stopped him in his tracks.

"Do you want to go home? Or live in New York with me?"

Victor held his toothbrush in his hand. He nervously squeezed on the tube of toothpaste and gave his brother an answer.

"I want to stay, with you."

He didn't want to be in Nebraska. Their parents had gone insane, and Victor felt depressed all the time. He needed to stay away because being there made him want to follow after Donna.

Stephen knew that he had a fight on his hands. He stared at his brother and gave him a nod that he understood. He knew that his parents would not want Victor living with him.

Victor pondered all of that as he brushed his teeth. He was exhausted from the trip and he eventually rinsed his mouth clean. He changed into his clothes for sleep, then he headed out into the room.

The younger brother quietly gasped because Stephen was sitting on the floor. He was in the middle of an incantation, or meditation right there in front of his bed. Victor had never seen him do it on his own. It was often guided by the older Clea, or the older version of his brother.

Victor quietly climbed onto his bed and he watched Stephen. He was mumbling several things out into the room and the young one settled beneath the blankets.

He noticed that Stephen's posture was perfect. Victor stared at it and he thought that he looked so much like their father in that moment. Their dad was a very strong and intimidating man. They were very similar, but Stephen was gentle.

Victor thought about seeing their father again. His tired mind started feeling heavy. He tried to keep his focus on Stephen, but before long Victor was pulled off into the realm of sleep.

Tony was wide awake in room 122. His eyes were open and he was currently kicking some hot shoes off his feet. Tony was laying on the giant bed in the hotel. The shoes were sprawled out around him and he was half-dressed.

Tony was pretty lazy when it came to domestic shit. He didn't care too much about getting undressed. He clawed out of almost everything that he was wearing, and enjoyed the cool air on his stomach and chest.

Tony was reading a letter. It was definitely a declaration of love that he didn't expect to receive. Steve thanked him for what Tony said to him before the serum. It was something that Steve thought about all the time.

He admitted that his feelings for Bucky were dominating his thoughts, but Steve wrote that he was determined to be in a relationship with Tony. He wanted to try to work on that when he returned to the Kamar taj.

Steve actually admitted and wrote that he loved Bucky. He said that he always would, but he was not "in love" with him. If that made sense?

Tony scratched the side of his head. He understood that ... possibly? It was pretty complicated. Tony started chewing on the side of his lip as he read further.

Steve also thanked him for allowing him to figure things out. He didn't expect it and he was grateful. Tony started feeling pretty emotional when he read Steve's thoughts about the two of them meeting.

Steve said that he was very happy that he met ...

Tony accidentally crinkled up the letter a little. He heard a few knocks on his door and the brunette was startled. His heart was on fire as he processed the moment.

Uhh.. shit sticks.

Tony quickly sat up on the bed. He was pretty stunned for a few reasons. First reason was the letter. He kinda expected Steve to be all... I like you Tony, BUT.

That clearly wasn't the case. Tony was currently dealing with that, and dealing with the sudden knock on his door. He knew that it was either housekeeping, or Stephen Strange.

Tony's heart rate was off the charts. He was unable to finish the letter. He folded it up and panicked a bit. Tony didn't know where to put it. He looked down at his body and saw how friggen lazy he had been.

He had one sock on, and half his pants. Tony's face rose around twenty degrees as he fumbled back into his jeans. The brunette walked over to the door and he crammed that love letter into his pocket.

Stephen was about to knock again, but the door opened. Tony didn't even check to see who it was. He looked up at Stephen and slowly swallowed his stomach.

Stephen kept quiet and he took in Tony's appearance. Colorado was freezing, but Tony looked unaffected.

"Visiting hours are posted on the sign behind you."

There was no sign, and Stephen did not turn around. He didn't fall for that noise, and he remained in his quiet state. Tony cleared his throat and he looked at Stephen's shirt.

He felt like he was in a pickle. Steve declared that he would be ready to start a relationship in a week, and now he had Stephen at his door again.

He started thinking about his older self, and being careful about what he wished for. Tony wanted to start a balancing act that felt pretty dangerous. Tony wasn't afraid or anything. He was just...

He slowly glanced up at Stephen. The sorcerer-in-training looked like he had something to say. Tony wanted to hear him say something. He wanted to hear that voice. The brunette started looking at his dark shirt again, then he slowly brought his hands up to Stephen's arms.

His touch surprised Stephen a little. His arms jerked inward until he relaxed. Tony started kissing him. Stephen didn't resist it at all. He stepped into it, and tried to hold onto what he felt.

The would-be-sorcerer had wanted to feel Tony like that for a long time. He couldn't tell him that at the moment, because he was noticing that something was wrong.

Stephen gently stepped back. Tony looked confused and affected as Stephen started massaging the top of his left eye.

Everything that he felt was slipping away from him.

What he felt for Tony always seemed to slip off somewhere. Stephen started realizing that his strongest emotions were always being siphoned out.

The sorcerer-in-training felt completely numb. He stood there for a while and he heard Tony ask if he was ok.

Stephen couldn't answer. He just closed his eyes and rest himself against that warmth. Tony was very warm.

They started feeling up on each other. Touching, moving clothes, and gently kissing on the exposed parts of skin. The brunette asked Stephen if he wanted to go in his room. Stephen hesitated for a moment.

He felt his neck being kissed as he thought about his response. Stephen quietly said what he wanted against Tony's ear. He wanted in the room, and Tony was glad to hear his voice.

They both walked in, and Tony closed the door. He locked it and unbuttoned his jeans. Stephen's behavior was on his mind, so that love letter needed to wait.
