glad you are enjoying my story, the website messing with my recent chapter was a bummer, definitely a muse killer but I managed to get some stuff written during that time... chapter had been hard to get started. After this chapter I'm going to wrap up their honeymoon I'm struggling with writing good things happening. Drama coming and I rather work on that so I don't get bored of writing because this story is my baby. as always Enjoy!

The rest of their breakfast with Paddy went well, Maura could still sense the looks her wife gave Paddy, but it was expected, it was different actually being okay with it or just acting okay with it, she had a feeling Jane was doing the latter. Jane had enjoyed her French pastry and was surprised and pleased when she got macarons that her and Maura could enjoy later at the hotel after they went to do a wine tasting tour Jane reserved for them to take part in.

When they got done with their breakfast Maura knew that it was time to say goodbye to her father, much to the dismay of the medical examiner.

"Well as much as I'd hate to say goodbye, it has to be done," Paddy sighed, resting his hand gently on Maura's shoulder. "Are you going to be alright?" he asked, looking at Maura.

She gave him a nod, "Yeah, I think I'll be able to manage, it really was nice seeing you again and knowing that you've been staying out of trouble makes me feel better than worrying about what you are up to all of the time. I'm going to miss you so much, but we always have email and don't ever hesitate to call," she offered him a warm smile before he pulled her into a hug.

Maura found it hard to want to pull back from her father, he was a much different person than she would have realized over a year ago. It was a warm feeling knowing how much he has changed and wanted to change. She just secretly hoped he wouldn't go back to his old ways of killing, she didn't know if she could manage knowing that fact. She finally pulled away when she heard Jane offer a cough. Maura sighed looking at Jane.

Paddy smiled at the detective reaching out his hand for her to shake since he knew Jane probably didn't want another hug, he could feel the air feel tense somewhat during breakfast, but it was expected, plus he wasn't fond of cops, but he was fond of Maura's happiness and Jane seemed to bring it so they both had something to feel awkward and tense about. "It was nice seeing you again Jane."

"You as well, just, stay out of trouble," she let go of his hand. "Have a good time with your next travel plans," Jane went to grab the box of macarons. "Thanks for paying for our breakfast, it means a lot."

"Hey, it's the least I could do," Paddy smiled, giving the girls one last glance before he walked away.

Jane and Maura shared a look after Paddy was gone in the distance. "You have doubts about letting him leave, don't you?" Maura had to ask.

"I, well to be honest, yeah," she couldn't help but rub at the scars on her hand like she's done during most of the breakfast. "I know I said I was okay with it, but I mean... Maura, please don't be upset with me, there have been so many bad people who have walked free because of certain situations, and the cop in me just can't help but think that maybe Paddy needs to, you know... not be travelling around. It's been bothering me all morning, as much as I like to see you happy, but maybe he needs to go back to prison. He just shouldn't be out, he committed many murders and part of me hates that we're just letting him walk away. I haven't been so conflicted," she rubbed harder at her scars.

Maura listened to Jane's words and frowned, taking Jane's hands in hers, "Jane, please calm down, you're going to rub your scars raw... I'm not upset," she looked up at Jane with sad eyes. "I couldn't dream of getting upset, you gave me a gift of spending time with my father, but I know who he is, I've known what he's done and I don't exactly enjoy the fact that he faked his own death instead of just going back to prison like he's done. I have my own fears that just letting him go was a mistake. He's my father, yes, but I agree with you that he needs to go back to prison, but this is also our honeymoon and can we just deal with this after we get back to Boston, please?"

Jane was surprised but comforted by Maura's words, so glad that they were on the same page, "Yeah of course, and thanks..."

"Thanks for what? We're a team and I refuse to let Paddy tear us apart, I'd like to think that we're stronger than that."

Jane nodded, "We are much stronger than that," she leaned down to press her lips against Maura's in a soft kiss. "I'm so glad that we're a team, I'm also glad you want us to focus on our honeymoon I'll try not to think about him anymore this vacation."

"I'd really prefer if you didn't," Maura smiled warmly at her wife. "That would be kind of weird when you should just be thinking about me."

Jane laughed and smirked, "Yeah, I much rather spend my time thinking about you. Speaking of which, we have about an hour before we have to leave for what I have planned for us to do next. So..."

"I think going back to the hotel is a good idea," Maura licked her lips and linked her arm with Jane's as they went back across the street to their hotel, Paddy Doyle no longer on their minds, all they could think about is their passionate love making that was about to ensue.

Back in the states, Angela was waking up in the hotel room her and Vince were going to stay at while they enjoyed a day or two in Niagara Falls. She had woken up to an empty bed, and Angela couldn't feel the presence of her husband until he came into the hotel room with his hands full.

"Good morning," Korsak greeted, putting the containers on the counter in the small makeshift kitchen. "Went downstairs to get us some breakfast, hope you weren't worried about where I had gone to."

"I wasn't necessarily worried, more like curious. I feel completely refreshed and feel like this is the first time I slept through the night in months. He sure likes to shift a lot, he hadn't last night that's for sure," Angela sat up and Korsak got her plate and shook his head.

"You don't have to get up Angela, figured we could just enjoy breakfast in bed," he handed her the plate of breakfast and placed the cup of tea on the bedside table before grabbing his and sliding into bed next to her. "I'm glad that we're here together, I've been dying to come here for months, since I proposed to you actually. We finally get our little honeymoon, even though it's been delayed about four months."

"Well it was worth the wait and came right when I needed it the most," Angela smiled at him. "I'm glad we were able to get away as well, even if it is just for short amount of time. It means more than you'll know," she leaned over to kiss his cheek.

They ate their breakfast discussing what plans that were in store for today's adventure in Niagara Falls. They would go on a boat ride near the Falls and then cross the bridge that would lead them into Canada and they would spend the rest of the day over there and enjoy a dinner before coming back to the hotel to rest for a car ride back to Boston the next morning.

After breakfast was done Angela had got out of bed to get dressed for the day while Korsak cleaned up and freshened up. They were almost out and ready to begin their day when Angela had to take a minute to sit down.

"Hey, is everything alright?" Korsak asked, really concerned in that given moment.

"Yeah, I just felt him kick. More intense than before."

"I guess he really enjoyed that breakfast," Korsak was relieved it wasn't anything serious. He sat down next to her and rested his hand on Angela's growing belly. "Hey Jack, try not to hurt your mother," he smiled when he felt the baby kick at his words.

"Vince, we're not naming him Jack, I've told you that plenty of times," she shook her head in amusement. "The plan is to call him Julian, remember?"

Korsak just gave Angela a look before he nodded, "Yeah, how could I forget, if Jane was a boy you were going to call her Julian."

"Yes, I've always liked that name, don't ask me why it's just stuck with me. He's definitely a Julian."

"Julian Korsak it is," he still had his hand on her belly, feeling another kick. "I guess he likes that name too," he kissed the top of her head. "Now let's go enjoy our day."

While everyone was enjoying their honeymoons, back in Boston some trouble was brewing. At Jane and Maura's house, Camille was alone and she sent her kids off to daycare, which she was very glad that she did. She had been getting random phone calls throughout the day, but the thing that had her completely shaken was this mysterious, serious looking man at the door. His hair was dark and he wore a jacket. She didn't want to let him in but he said he needed to talk to Jane.

Camille told him that she was out of town and when he asked where she didn't give him any details. When he said that he was from the FBI she figured maybe he could help her with these random phone calls she had been getting, threatening to know where she was at. That's why she sent her kids to her best friend's just in case the caller found out where she was. She didn't want the kids to freak out and get paranoid more than she already was.

Camille slowly opened the door and the man didn't even smile, he just showed her his badge, "I'm Special Agent Gabriel Dean, may I come in?"

Camille stepped to the side and he waltzed in like he knew the place. "Um, so, what is this about?" she glanced at him, crossing her arms. She didn't want him knowing she wasn't so tough, she put on a brave face.

"Well, what do you know about the name Paddy Doyle?" he asked, looking at magazines and coloring books on the coffee table, making his observations.

"You mean the mob guy who broke out of prison then ended up dead?"

Gabriel nodded, "Well I have reason to believe that isn't the case, that he isn't dead after all. I've been trying to track his movements, which haven't been easy. I also have reason to believe that Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles have made contact with him and know his whereabouts. What is your relationship with them by the way?"

"I'm a close friend, I met them through Maura's half sister, I have two kids, but they aren't here right now. I'm just watching the house until they come back."

He looked up at her, "Come back from where?"

"Their honeymoon, they just got married and before you ask, I do not know where they went, Jane wanted to surprise Maura so even I was kept out of the loop. Honest," she observed him and his expressionless face.

"It's very vital that you don't withhold any information, if you know their whereabouts..."

"Why would I lie to the FBI? I'm not an idiot. Are they in danger?"

"They very well could be or they could be hiding him and not be in any danger at all," Gabriel looked at the stairs. "May I continue to look around?"

Camille couldn't help but roll her eyes, "I also know that you need a warrant to search the premises, and since it's not my place I'd rather you not." She looked at the man who tensed up.

"Alright," he pulled a card out of his pocket, Gabriel could tell that this woman wasn't going to be of any help. "If you hear anything or think of anything that could help just give me a call."

"I... before you leave, since you're the FBI and all, I need help with something, maybe I will remember something for you to continue working your case."

Camille was surprised when she seen the man smile. "What do you need help with?" he asked.

"May I interest you in some tea first? I feel like I'm being a bad hostess."

"None for me thanks," he went to sit on the couch. "Okay, so what problem are you having?"

"Well it's a long story, so I'll start from the beginning..." Camille sat down next to him, finally getting herself to relax. She told him about how she was being stalked and ended up in the hospital because her twin's father paid her a visit. She let him know how he's in jail but now she's getting phone calls from a man and that she wants him to help track who it is and get him to stop. "It really would mean a lot to me if you could help," Camille handed Special Agent Dean her cell phone. "I would hate for anything to happen to my children. I actually went to the lawyers and made a will after I got out of the hospital, just to be precautious. I would want my children to live comfortably since they are only 4 years old. This person has called all from different numbers, I find that quite concerning."

"Well did you go to the Boston Police with this?"

Camille shook her head, "Jane is the only detective I trust there, and since she isn't here."

Gabriel nodded, "I understand, I'll see what I can do," he wrote the numbers that had called her phone during the last 12 hours. "I'll let you know what I can come up with. Just remember what you promised."

"Yes of course, you help me I might be able to help you," Camille smiled warmly at him as he handed her the phone back. Gabriel got up from the couch.

"I'll get back to you if I get anything."

Her smile turned into a frown, "Wait, are you just going to leave me here alone?"

Gabriel looked at the woman and sighed, "I can't exactly help you without the right technology. I'm sort of on my own right now, so I have to get help from BPD with their equipment." He lied about not having the equipment, he just had to find a way to get to Jane's desk at work.

"I understand, but what if something happens when you're gone?"

"Well you could always come with me if you'll feel safer that way," he shrugged. Maybe she could be of help after all, she just needed to trust him more.

"I'll go get my coat," Camille gave him a look over before going to get her jacket from upstairs. "I appreciate this, Special Agent," she grabbed the keys so she could lock up after they left.

"Please you can just call me Gabriel, no need to be formal...what's your name again?"

"Camille Carmichael," she shook his hand. "But you can just call me Camille."

Gabriel nodded and smiled, "Well let's go then," he led her to his rental car before driving them to the police department.

When they arrived to the station Gabriel headed to the bullpen and Camille decided to just wait in the cafe until he was done. He was a very intriguing and mysterious man Camille couldn't help but notice and maybe even have a small attraction towards him, but it could also just be because she felt alone and vulnerable since her and Cailin's break up. She thought Gabriel could use some loosening up as well. She couldn't help but laugh at herself for even entertaining that thought.

Gabriel walked up to Detective Crowe, "Hello Detective, it's nice to see you again. Thanks for trying to help Paddy Doyle when he escaped prison, I heard about your efforts and I pride you for that."

Detective Crowe couldn't help but roll his eyes, "Yeah, thanks, so what are the Feds doing here?"

"It's just me actually and it's kind of important, I am following up on his death and doing a favor for someone who might help me out. May I use Jane's desk, I heard that she is on her honeymoon."

He nodded, "Yeah. You know where her desk is at, but I'm going to keep my eye on you Agent Dean."

"I can honestly say I wouldn't expect anything less," he headed to Jane's desk, he knew this could be useful, but first he had to help Camille so she could help him or hoped that she would.

He spent over an hour trying to track the numbers who called Camille but he couldn't get any information, they were burner phones. Trying to get a location could take some time.

After deciding that someone was just messing with the woman he tried to find any hints or signs that Jane had been in contact with Paddy Doyle, but he couldn't find anything. She would know better than contacting him anywhere near her place of work.

As soon as he went to go open a drawer on the desk Crowe was hovering over him, "You can't be going through her desk, only see what is visual to you, Agent Dean."

Gabriel looked up at the man and sighed, "Fine, I'm done here anyways. Have a good day Detective, I'll be seeing you guys soon," he stood up and gave a curt nod before leaving the bullpen to take Camille back to Jane and Maura's place.

As soon as Gabriel Dean left Detective Crowe pulled out his phone. He had to leave a voice-mail, "Hey Rizzoli, I know you are on your honeymoon and everything, but guess who showed up. Agent Gabriel Dean, he's up to something and I'll figure it out so don't fret, I got you. Just want you to have a heads up just in case he's still here when you return, which I'm sure he will be. And why don't you bring me back a souvenir? See ya in a few days," he hung up before getting back to work.

Jane and Maura had gotten back to their hotel after their wine tasting tour, they had got to taste a whole bunch of wine, Jane thought that the experience wasn't so bad, she enjoyed the wine and company.

Jane pulled out the box of macarons as she sat down on the bed, "Well I quite enjoyed myself. Want to watch something on television until it's time for dinner?"

Maura smiled at her and nodded, sitting next to her, "That sounds relaxing, after the morning we had." She took a macaron from the box and rested against Jane. Jane turned on the television trying to find something they would both enjoy. Maura couldn't help but notice that Jane's phone lit up on the bedside table. "Jane, I think someone is trying to call you."

Jane shrugged her shoulders, "They can just leave a voicemail."

Maura looked at who it was, "It seems to be Detective Crowe."

"In that case he can most definitely leave a voicemail. The last thing I need to be worried about is work, plus he's in charge when I'm gone. I never seen a French soap opera before, shall we watch?"

"Yeah, that seems interesting enough, maybe you can pick up more French phrases," Maura smiled after the phone stopped ringing.

"Yeah," she popped another macaron in her mouth, "You know this shit is delicious, thanks for getting them."

"I know how much you enjoy your desserts Jane," Maura spoke, relaxing against Jane when her phone vibrated letting her know there was a voicemail. "You sure that you don't want to know what he wants?" she looked up at Jane who shook her head.

"You're not going to let this go, are you?"

"It could be important," she insisted, holding the phone in her hand.

"Well you can listen to the voicemail and you can decide whether its important or not. I'm going to get us some wine we have left over from last night," Jane got up from the bed, leaving the box of macarons as she went to the mini fridge, observing Maura's expressions as she listened to the voicemail. She came back with the bottle of wine, resuming her position on the bed. Maura frowned and Jane could see how tense Maura was at the message. "I take it that it was important? Is everything okay?"

Maura handed Jane the phone, "You should listen to the message yourself," she opened the wine and took a sip from the bottle.

Jane listened to the voicemail that Detective Crowe had left and then she looked at Maura. "God I really hate that man, the last thing we need is that man back in our lives," she muttered as she looked at her phone, "I should probably call Crowe back," she got off the bed. "I just wish that we could go one damn week without shit hitting the fan," she grunted as she went outside on the balcony, dialing Crowe's number, he answered almost right away.

"Rizzoli, I wasn't expecting you to call me back."

"Yeah well, I didn't plan on getting a phone call from you while I was on vacation, so what was Special Agent Bastard doing?" Jane looked out at the view upset that she could hardly enjoy it at this moment.

"He mentioned something about Paddy Doyle possibly being alive, I'm pretty sure he's snooping to make sure you don't know anything about it, you don't, do you?"

"Even if I did know anything what makes you think I would tell you?"

"I'm just looking out for you Jane, plus I know he's Maura's father, believe it or not I don't want you both getting in trouble, the force would definitely be odd without you here," Crowe spoke warmly and Jane just sighed.

"Yeah I know. If there's anything you know just keep me updated if anything of importance goes on."

"Sure thing Rizzoli. Oh there is something else, your friend Camille was in the cafe, she left with Gabriel when he was done, he said he had to help her with something. You might have to call her and see what's up I find it very suspicious is all. She didn't seem to want to be there."

"Okay, thanks for the heads up, remember call me if there's anything I absolutely need to know which I hope isn't the case," she ran a hand through her hair. "Bye Crowe," she stated before hanging up and dialing Camille's number.

"Jane, I wasn't expecting to get a call from you."

"Are you alone?" she asked, not caring for formalities.

"Well the kids are home but there's no one else here. Is something the matter?"

"Does the name Gabriel Dean ring any bells?"

Camille paused before answering, "Yeah, I didn't mean to let him inside but he's the FBI and I couldn't just avoid him, he said he was looking for you. I didn't let him go anywhere to look around the house. I um... I offered to help him if he helped me with something, but I'm not going to help honest, I wouldn't even know how to help. He mentioned Paddy Doyle, he has a feeling you've either been in contact with him or you guys could be in danger, he's trying to figure out which."

Jane sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I don't want you trusting Gabriel, alright? Do what you're doing and don't tell him anything, the less he knows the better. Can you do that for me?"

"Yeah, of course Jane, I trust you more than anyone else."

"What was it that he was helping you with?" Jane asked, trying to figure out Gabriel's plan.

"I um... I had been getting phone calls today some kind of threatening to know where I'm at. Gabriel didn't find out who it was assumed it was just someone messing with me. It has me very worried. Me and the twins are just going to stay here until you guys get back from your trip."

"I think that's a good idea, I want you and the twins to stay as safe as possible."

"So how has your trip been? You and Maura enjoying yourselves."

"That we definitely are it's great to get away minus getting intel that Gabriel Dean is back in Boston. Speaking of Maura I should get back to her. Talk to you and the twins on Sunday."

"Yeah of course, thanks for calling Jane it means a lot, even though it seemed like a more business than pleasure kind of phone call. And if it's true and Paddy Doyle is out there, just stay safe."

"There's nothing that I can't handle, no need to worry about us. Give the twins our love, bye."

"Bye, enjoy the rest of your vacation," Camille responded before hanging up. Jane sighed, and looked out at the view again before heading back inside.

Maura looked very intrigued by the French soap opera, she turned to Jane once she sat back down on the bed. "What did Detective Crowe say?"

"Gabriel might be there trying to track Paddy. Crowe is going to keep his eye on him and only call if something important happens. He also mentioned Camille and that Gabriel was helping her with something, so I had to call Camille, apparently she's getting phone calls, some threatening so she and the twins aren't going to be going anywhere out of our house until we get back. Paddy is going to be pretty hard to track since he only seems to use cash. I just want to enjoy the rest of our vacation while we can. I'm tempted to just stay here with you and never go back, but that would be suspicious, now wouldn't it?"

"Just a little bit. I can't believe that we've only been gone for about a day and everything has as you said shit hitting the fan. I'm sorry I made you listen to Crowe's voicemail," Maura frowned, drinking more wine. "I ruined our vacation, didn't I?"

Jane shook her head and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, and kissed the top of her head, "Babe, the last thing you could do is ruin our vacation. Real life will always be such a hassle, the least we can do is try and avoid those problems until we're back in Boston."

"Do you think Paddy is going to be okay?"

"There isn't a doubt in my mind," she grabbed the bottle of wine and drank some, before putting it on the bedside table. "I think we can use a distraction," Jane leaned over and pressed a kiss to Maura's collarbone. "How does that sound?"

"Sounds pretty good to me, you seem to be handling this thing well."

"As well as I could be, at least we have each other," Jane smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind Maura's ear. "And that I will always be grateful for." The last thing Jane would do is let Gabriel Dean fuck up her honeymoon.
