Official Movie Soundtrack - Track 03

The fifth day of the War of the Bands is about to end. All the teams had already performed. Princess' Court made a version of 'Maniac', and the Black Unicorn surprised everyone with a Disney's song, 'Let it go', sung in French and using some special devices to make the public part of the performance.

The judges are deliberating now. In a moment, one band will win, and one band will be eliminated from the competition. The battle to reach the Semifinal is at hand. Who will emerge as the winner, and who will take his flag home? Let's find it in the conclusion of this 5th round of The War of the Bands.

War of the bands, 5th round results.

"Now please, the four remaining bands come to the stage to announce the results of the 5th round of the competition. Remember, from this episode onward, only one team can win per round," said Topher as the 3 remaining bands joined The Black Unicorn on the stage.

The tension was evident. Rock and Spud were hugging each other as Taylor discreetly grasped Alejandro's hand. Princess' Court were in a group hug, Courtney looking especially nervous in the center of them, only H-tonics looked confident.

At that moment, Duncan looked at Mike the Circumstance, Zoey's boyfriend, and noticed that his t-shirt was not real. It was painted over his skin. Why would someone do that? It was not easier to simply made another shirt like the one his nerd lead was using? Those H-tonics were a bunch of weirdos.

Cody was holding Ella's hand, the guy more nervous than the singer, while Trent and B looked calmer. They knew they did what they could, and now the dice were rolling.

"Today's movie theme was a greater success than expected. All teams not only interpreted great songs but put awesome performances. It was without a doubt the hardest decision in all this War," said Topher looking first at the four bands and then at the public.

"And the winners of the 5th round of the War of the Bands, and this round's sweet immunity are

"Devil's Muse."

The crowd cheered. Topher almost stuttered as he read the card with the winner and looked to the judges' table, were only Chris and Lindsay were sitting. The former host nodded, and the singer only shrugged. Topher was as surprised as the bands, but keep the show going on.

Taylor hugged Alejandro while Rock and Spud jumped joyfully, and after a moment, they went into the backstage. Taylor gave a mocking smile to Heather before exiting. Under the cheering from the public, there was some whispering about the result. Topher kept with the program, trying to avoid problems.

"Well, this was quite a surprise, as I told you, this round is going to be really dramatic," said the young Host. Heather glared daggers at him, while Max and Beardo held her.

All of the Black Unicorns were as surprised as the audience. Devils' performance was good without a doubt, but not better than Princess' Court or H-tonics. The judge's decision was surprising but also final.

"And now, one of these 3 bands can be saved by you, our wonderful public. The remaining 2 will have to compete on a Battle of the bands with their pride, their flag, and their pass to the next round at stake. So please cheer as loud as you can for your favorite. Will it be H-TONICS, or PRINCESS' COURT, or BLACK UNICORN," the public cheered, screamed, and clapped, the voices of Owen, Izzy, and Geoff clearly heard over the others.

"Ok, this is a close one, please again let us hear your cheers for H-TONICS, PRINCESS' COURT, and BLACK UNICORN," as in the other rounds, they have to repeat the cheering as it was too close.

"We are at the moment where all the bands deserve to keep going, so don't feel down if your favorite is not saved. The second band who will join Devil's Muse on the semifinals are

"It's a tie between H-Tonics and Black Unicorn."

The public gasped as Topher read the result from the measuring machine.

Heather glared daggers at the Black Unicorn. As they looked at the A Capella band, surprised. No one knew how the tie would be resolved.

Topher spoke loudly to be heard over the public. "I can't believe it, we have a tie. This was unheard during all the rounds of the competition, so we need a tiebreaker." Meanwhile, the crowd was cheering and screaming. Some shouting loudly, TONICS and the others shouting UNICORNS.

"The production are telling me that the tiebreaker will be made by the judges. Sadly Chef had to leave the studio moments ago, so the decision would be taken by Chris and her Hotness Lindsay," said Topher, Cody and Duncan gasped, as it was evident that Chris didn't like them.

"Please tell us, which band will go to the next round?" asked Topher as the public became silent to hear the decision.

"Well, for trajectory and skill, the answer is obvious. This competition is for the best of the best, so it must be H-tonics," said Chris as he glared at Ella.

"What a surprise! So the judges have talked. The second team who will go with Devil's Muse to the Semifinal-" Topher was announcing the winner, but was interrupted mid-sentence.

"Stop, Ryan! That's only Chris' opinion. I'm also a judge and have not voted," said Lindsay, shouting over the boos and cheers from the public.

She adjusted her cap and continue talking to the mic. "And my vote goes for the Black Unicorn. That princess' song was the best I ever heard," Lindsay smiling proudly, "They are the ones that should pass this round." Her words were like lightning, shocking all the presents, Chris, the audience, and the bands.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT," shouted Topher, "maybe we should let both bands go into the next round without battle of the bands, how did that sounds?"

Courtney blanched as their band began to protest, but for their surprise, they were not the uniques.

"That's bullshit, they deserve their chance," shouted Duncan.

"Yes, that's not even EVIL, just despicable," shouted Max.

Beardo began to imitate an alarm loudly, showing his rejection of the idea. Even Heather, who was all about winning, was scowling at him.

The host made a wide smile, surprised. "Wow, I'm touched, look at this sportsmanship. These are, without a doubt, the BEST juvenile bands on Canada."

"Topher let the Unicorn into the final. We will be battling Princess' Court."

All the presents gasped. Walking to the front of the stage was Harold.

"HAROLD! What the hell are you-" scream Heather, but Beardo stops her. She was so mad that she forgot to use the redhead's stage name.

"Harold, we cannot accept this," said Trent, interrupting whatever Topher was about to say.

"Trent, We're not giving you anything for free. I honestly consider that your performance during this round was exceptional and surpass the threshold of the excellent into the awesome. So take your deserved victory and let us battle," said Harold, adjusting his glasses and making an evil smile.

"But-" said Trent before being interrupted by his former bandmate.

"GOSH, why do you have to make all this hard? Just accept the win, IDIOT," said Harold, Trent smiled after hearing him. Once Harold was decided, there was no going back.

Topher was shocked, but regain his composure quickly, "Well, it seems we have our winner, BLACK UNICORN advance to the Semifinal. So we will have PRINCESS' COURT and H-TONICS battling for the last place in the next round.

Courtney caught with the black Unicorn before they went out of the stage,

"Guys, thank you for giving us the chance to compete," said Courtney, flustered.

"We didn't do anything, princess, just go there and kick their asses, see you in the next round," said Duncan dismissing her.

Courtney smiled, "You are such an Ogre. Thank you, Duncan, see you then."

The Black Unicorn went to the backstage while Courtney returned to her band. Before going away, Ella looked at the stage, hoping the best for the other princesses.

"Now, please take your place in each of the stages at the sides of the main one. You already know the rules, you will be performing nonstop, the public cheering at each of you. Once one team cheer is better than the other, the flag of the team with less support will fall, and they will be eliminated from the war," said Topher as each band took their place.

"Guys, again, I'm sorry. It's my fault we are at the bottom again," said Courtney taking her violin.

"Courtney, that's not true. We are a band. We succeed or fail together. Please, don't carry all over your shoulder," said Emma taking her bass.

"Yes, you sometimes are too demanding, but thanks to that, I have improved a lot. I would prefer failing with you that continuing without you," said Dave standing at the keyboard.

"We are but gears in a great machine that is our musical association, we can only exhibit our optimum performance when each individual is undertaking their role, only like that we can reach suitable levels of endorphins on our brains," said Scarlett, smiling

"Thanks, guys, let me show you my gratitude winning this," said Courtney smiling defiantly at H-tonics.

On the other side, their opponents were also hyped by the battle.

"Haro-, I mean H-Bomb, what the heck were you thinking?" exclaimed Heather, glaring at him.

"Hearther, my dear. I'm sorry, but my chivalrous code doesn't let me win like this. Our opponents deserve a fair chance, so I give them that," said Harold smiling at his muse.

"And what about our dreams? What if we lose here?" replied Heather, frowning at her slender boyfriend.

"Don't worry, I wanted to give them a fair chance, but a lion will use all of his strength even when hunting a rabbit. We will win this," said Harold, the light of the spotlight reflecting on his glasses.

"Say what you want, but we will win thanks to me, Dr. E-vil, and my great performance, and you know it," said Max taking his microphone.

"As always, you defy all the laws of intelligence, Max," said Mike throwing his microphone into the air and catching it with his other hand.

Beardo then began to make the sounds of a locomotive starting up, as he got ready to sing.

Both teams were ready to start. Finally, they gave their last words to each other.

"Hey guys, thanks for the chance. Sorry about this, but you will regret it," said Courtney smiling.

"Don't worry Sereia, I always wanted to beat someone in a battle of the bands," said Harold, also smiling.

Topher then gave the sign, and both teams began to play.

H-Tonics decided to begin slowly and increase the complexity of their sounds and beatbox. Their opening was 'Hit the road, Jack,' by Ray Charles, sang by Harold, and the chorus by Heather, Beardo playing as if he was carrying a trumpet as he beatboxed, and Mike and Max as the piano. Then they perform Royals by Lorde, Heather singing, and the rest performing the effects and the beatbox, Max making the beat effect snapping his fingers in a loud and rhythmic way.

On the other side Princess' Court begins with the very appropriate I'm still standing by Sir Elton John, Dave on the keyboards, and Courtney violin replacing the guitar. Then Dave took his guitar, and they perform Comatose by Skillet, Courtney singing and playing the violin, showing why she is called a prodigy.

But the acapella group was not giving up. They interpreted Uprising by Muse, Harold doing the main singing, and Heather singing the chorus, while Beardo showed his great beatboxing skills doing the mainline of the background music, Max and Mike helping with the beats and the guitar. After that, Heather returned to the main vocal to sing Feel Good Inc by Gorillaz while the other four beatbox the rhythm, Beardo interpreting the guitar and Harold the bass. It was a show of skills, incredible to believe except for those seeing and hearing it.

Princess' Court was also in their top game, as the third song, they played Roundtable rival by Lindsay Sterling, there Dave showed his skill playing in duet with Courtney. This song also helped Courtney to rest her voice, as it's instrumental. They then played Master of puppets by Metallica, Courtney using her electric violin as the main guitar, and showing the band could play any style.

But as they entered the fifth song, the Green flag with the crown fell. In that instant, the room went completely silent.

Princess' Court, one of the favorites, was eliminated from the competition. Dave and Emma were sobbing, and Scarlett glasses misted. Courtney walked to her flag and lifted it, rolling it across her shoulders, then she waved, showing a wonderful smile to the audience, that replied with a wild cheer for her and her band. She then walked out of the stage, tears rolling across her cheeks.

"H-Tonics is on the next round. Now we have only three bands left. Next week it will be the Semifinal, thanks to PRINCESS' COURT, one of the favorites of Toronto, that showed us not only a great talent but also great professionalism and skills. They also deserve to win, but sadly, only one will remain at the end of the show," said Topher clapping at the Princess' Court as they leave the stage.

"I'm Topher Secrest, tonight battle is over, but next week there will be the semifinals, the war is coming closer to its end, but there are still battles to fight. This was the fifth episode of War fo the Bands. Thank you for watching and see you next time."

There were only 3 teams left, next week the two finalists that will compete for the prize money will be chosen. In contrast to the last week, The Black Unicorn feel satisfied with their victory, but there were some doubts in Cody's heart. And it could be more important for him than the mystery of the blogs.

War of the bands, 5th round End.

"CHEERS!" shouted all the guests at the party. Justin was beginning to ask himself about why they kept making these parties at his house. Yes, his parents would be out 6 more weeks, but it could be hard to explain what happened with the carpet and why are footprints on the ceiling.

The team already had the next week's challenge, but at this moment, all were more focused on celebrating their pass to the next round than choosing the next song. After all, they will meet tomorrow to practice and select the song. But even if there was a festive atmosphere, not everyone wanted to celebrate.

"You know Eve, I can understand it if they want to destroy my house with a party each week, inviting whoever they meet along the way. But what I can't understand is that they invade my house and don't enjoy the party," said Justin glaring at his friends.

Eva looked around and realized what the model was talking about. The party was raging, Owen was dancing with Izzy in the middle of the living room, with Dawn dancing with Brody (or something like that, Dawn not being a great dancer), and Sam was dancing with Dakota. There was also Ella laughing and drinking (soda) while talking with Sky and Samey (or it's Sammy? Whatever.)

But the rest was more serious. Bridgette, Geoff, DJ, and Duncan were in a corner, the delinquent seeming worried, Trent was talking with B and Cody, the later with a restless expression

"Maybe they wanted to fight their victory on this round. I at least would prefer doing the battle of the bands than advancing with that silly people's favorite vote," said Eva, blushing while talking with Justin.

"That so you, Eve, but I don't think Cody and the guys would be bothered by something like that, maybe Duncan, but not the rest. Anyway, do you want to dance?" said Justin, who decide to ignore the long faces of Cody and Duncan.

"I DON'T dance and stop calling me that," said Eva, blushing, while (unconsciously) crushing her empty bottle.

Justin made one of his best smiles and held her hand, "Don't worry, Evie, I will teach you."

"I-If you insist, I will humor you this time," said Eva blushing, she looked at him and added under her breath, "and I prefer Eve as a pet name after all."

While they danced, Duncan stood up and decided to leave the party.

"So soon, dude? But you are still sober," said Geoff surprised. Bridgette then hit him in the arm.

"Geoff, don't try to get him drunk, he still had to drive home," said Bridgette, narrowing her eyes at her boyfriend.

Duncan waved, dismissing his friend. "Hehe, don't worry, Geoff, I have a lot of thinking to do, see ya later, lovebirds, DJ."

"He's still shocked about what happened with Princess' Court," said DJ, looking worried at him.

"I can't believe they lose. Courtney has such a beautiful voice, and it's so talented," said Bridgette, her eyes sparkling.

"Well, only the best will win this, Schmoopy Schmoo, even if he was part of her band, one of them have to lose sooner or later," said Geoff putting his hat over his eyes, to hide his teary eyes. He was weak against these kind of stories.

Cody saw Duncan leaving the room and decided it was his chance to speak with Trent without any chance of the delinquent overhearing their conversation.

The brunette guy called his friend, looking at him with fiery eyes. "Trent, do you have a moment? I have something important to tell you,"

B understood the message and left to look for some food, while Trent and Cody went to the second floor to talk, inside Justin's room.

"Ok, man, tell me, how can I help you? It must be important if you are so serious," said Trent smiling.

"Man, I need your help," said Cody, taking a deep breath, "I have a problem, and it can break apart the band. I need your advice."

The guitarist looked at him with wide eyes but recovered his composure quickly. "Cody, you have been my best pal since I learned how to talk. I will do whatever is in my power to help you."

Cody smiled at his friend's words, "The problem is that I like Ella. She's wonderful, and I want to ask her out, but Duncan also likes her, and I don't want to create a rift in the band. What should I do?"

Trent rubbed his neck, he already knew it, but he couldn't lie to his best friend. "Cody, before giving you my advice. I think I must tell you something. I also like Ella, and just like you, not like a friend but as something else."

The brunette guy looked at his friend in a mix of surprise and anger, "C'mon Trent, you can't do this to me, not again."

Cody's worst fear was becoming a reality. The band could break because of their feelings for Ella, but right now, he didn't care.

Princess' Court was eliminated, and next week is the Semifinal. But before that, Cody and Trent need to talk. Will The Black Unicorn survive? Find out in the next chapter.

Today was one of my hardest chapters because I really didn't want to eliminate any band, but it was time for Princess' Court. I hope it was exciting enough. Now there are only two more episodes of the war of the band. But before that, there is some Drama the band needs to address.

And as always, thanks for reading and I hope you like it
