Okay since the last chapter was relatively short I am trying to make this a bit longer :). Also I try to kind of slip more into Donna's character...

CHAPTER 2
Donna went home after Harvey left the office and she was mad. It made her mad that she wasn't the one with the witty remark, that she had no idea why he went out with Rachel and it scared her.
She knew Rachel wouldn't be interested in Harvey, Harvey also would never. She knew Harveys past, his difficult relatindhip with his mother and she was pretty sure that he wouldn't date Mikes ex-girlfiend (?).
Still she couldn't exactly pin point the feeling that was making her so frustrated, you probably could pinpoint it as jelousy. But Donna wasn't the jelous type and why would she be jelous.
It bugged her, of course! Rachel didn't tell her and Harvey didn't even want to. So clearly there was something that Donna wasn't supposed to know and the worst thing was she had reall no clue. Why didn't she, she was Donna, as Harvey pointed out a houer ago.
Donna knew that the whole "I know everything" thing wasn't true, she was smart, good at reading people. But some things never made sense to her, especially her feelings for Harvey. She knew what they were. love.
But that didn't mean that she wanted a relationship, he wasn't ready and might as well never will be.
She catched herself looking at the clock that seemed to go far to slow, she didn't want to come up to curious but she really wanted to ask Rachsl what she was doing with him. But she wasn't sure how long they actually were going to have "lunch", what ever that meant.
She decided to wait another houer, she was sure Harvey and Rachel wouldn't have that much to talk about. What where they talking about though?
After a while Donna took the Chunky monkey out of the freezer and grabed a spoon to make herself comfortable with her favourite ice cream on her couch. With the hand who wasn't currently trying to peel out a chocolate piece from the ice bucket turned on the TV.
Glee, a show that Harvey would be mocking about. The show was indeed ver bad on some plot parts, but Donna loved it. It was funn, the drama and characters. Especially one character, Sue Sylvester remember her of a female version of Louis. This thought made her giggle.
But most importantly the theater part, Donna loved the theater and she was in a glee club herself back in High-school. And went to theated camp, back then dreaming of the Broadway.
Sometimes Donna missed how the stage, she was still sometimes on stage, but the dream she once had wasn't that domestic.
She loved her job right now, she didn't know what she would be if she would have quit and set all her carts on acting after the D.A's office. She was sure she didn't regret her decisions but sometimes it made her think if she could have done it.
This were things she didn't say out loud, because she wasn't sure if somebody could understand her. Glee was one of her favourite shows, it wasn't demanding and madd her go back in time and escape work. And she loved singing with the songs.
Without even realising Donna found herself watching 3 episodes in a row, she already forgot about Harvey and was just enjoying the show. And then the song pretending from Glee came up, she hated that song!
Face-to-face and heart-to-heart
We're so close, yet so far apart
I close my eyes I look away
That's just because I'm not okay
But I hold on, I stay strong
Wondering if we still belong
Will we ever say the words we're feeling?
Reach down underneath it
Tear down all the walls
Will we ever have a happy ending?
Or will we forever only be pretending?
Donna always hated this song, it was a good song, but it hit too close to home. She could feel her eyes watering and she reached to the remote.
How long do I fantasize?
Make believe that it's still alive
Imagine that I am good enough
And we can choose the ones we love
But I hold on I stay strong
Wondering if we still belong
After this lines she finally got the courage to turn the Show down. This is ridiculous! Donna's mood was now even worse. Before she could sit up and take a shower, to head then straight to bed, her phone began to vibrate.
Rachel.
Donna took a deep breath and then hit the button to accapt the incoming call.
"Donnnnn-ah how you are doing!" Rachel shouted cheering.
"Rachel where are you, you are drunk!" Donna got now concerned. She never heared Rachel this drunk.
"I am just a bit tipipipsy" rachel answered now trying hard to keep a straight voice but miserably failed.
"Where are you Rach?"
" You font dow"
"You are by my front door?" Donna asked now and needed to smile a bit by her best friend who was seemingly having a great time. But as Donna weren't getting any response except from some squeaky giggles she stood up pulling her feat to her front door.
"Donn-A!" Rachel exclaimed.
Rachel was lay on the ground her back was leaning against one floor wall and her eyes were trying to find Donnas. She looked adorable and Donna couldn't help herself, so she took a picture, she will certainly not lst go of when rachel is sober again.
After Rachel fidgeted around like a child and uttered several tones that could be identified as laughter, donna had found a way to bring rachel to her bed. First Donna thought about sharing the bad with Rachel but since Rachel decided to lay down in the middle of the bed, donna decided that it would be easier to just sleep on the couch. Also Rachel smelled very bad.
The next day was a better one, Donna decided that nothing could change that. She woke up with no headache and her back didn't even hurt from sleeping on the couch. It was early enough, so Donna had enough time to prepare her hangover friend to be able to look into the sun without decompose like a vampire.
Oh my god- this is the worst hangover I ever had!" Rachel grooned.
"So Harvey wasn't a good boy?" Donna tried not to prying.
"No he was" Rachel had a small smile on my lips "It was actually fun, you know?"
Donna did know it was fun to do something with Harvey but she decied she had nothing to say, so she just nodded resuring.
"Its Mike, he is an complete Jurk, I dont get it... I mean every man seams to be able to do something extremly sweet and thoughtful and yesterday I was sitting there, hearing Harvey talk like that and I just-" Rachel stoped and realized she just said to much. Donna looked now like someone hit her in tbe face."Donna is everything okay you look a bit shaken?"
"No...Yes but please repeat what you just said."
"What exactly?" Rachel asked innocent, she knew exactly that Donna wanted to know what she meant with 'hearing Harvey talk like that'.
"Just...what did you and Harvey meet up for anyways?"
"He actually asked me not to say anything..."
"Please?"
"Look I can't say much but you are going to find out sooner or later and I swear its nothing bad!" at least Rachel hoped Donna would feel this way...
"Are you sure Rachel?"
"Yes" Rachel hoped she sounded something like comforting.
"I lied" Donna confessed out of the blue
"What do you mean, with what?
"I slept with Harvey" said Donna before she could find a better way to say what she actually wanted to.
"I know" Rachel looked now a bit guilty.
"How?"
Donna felt her cheeks go read, how could Rachel know? Harvey wouldn't have told her that...
"I mean it was kind of obvious and Harvey emplied yesterday..."
"Can I ask you something?" Rachel broke the silence that was over them while they made their way to Tiffany's."Ah yes, sure" Harvey nodded."Don't get me wrong but why now?""What do you mean?" Harvey looked now dumbstruck."Well I mean I knew, everybody knew you and Donna are having a chemistry that is really intense... But I mean you know each other for literal years and nothing happens and now this? Rachel explained, she wasn't sure if she overstepped it here but she was to curios.Harvey seemed to be thinking for a while"Well I mean we always had this banter...""Flirting" Rachel corrected cheekily.
"Right so, we always flirted, but Donna has this rule. She does not get involved with people she works with and well once we did, but then she brought up the rule...""You slept with her?""You know what you are actually pretty impudently for a paralegal...""Continue" she stated grinning.
"Well my brother asked me once why I don't just ask her out and he is right I dont care about the rule. If she decides not to work for me anymore but I got her that way - I just have this dreams and they keep making me feel so empty without her". Harvey knew that it weren't because of the dreams that made him feel like this.
"He WHAT?" Donnas voice went at least 2 octavees higher then usual what mad Rachel look even more guilty. Rachel didn't know why exactly but she had fun yesterday but Donna really didn't seem to like it.
"I am sorry, I should not have agreed to seeing him" Rachel looked at her sadly.
"No, look we just agreed to forget it and I didn't thought he would tell anybody, I was just suptised thats all."
"Why?"
"Because we were young and neither of us wanted to screw up what we had" reasoned Donna.
"Do you regret it?"
"No, not really, he wasn't ready and we would have ended at bad terms. Sometimes I hoped he would have been, but I am happy now" Donna tried to describe her thoughts.
"And now?"
"Now what?"
"You and Harvey do you ever think it will come to that point again?" Rachel asked even tho she knew the answer already.
"I do not think so, we are friends, a good team and I dont think he will ever want that. I admit i wouldn't miss a opportunity, but it's not my call and I refuse to let my heart get destroyed in the process. I couldn't take it."
--
"Harvey you don't make sense" Mike looked now lost up to him. He wasn't getting what Harvey even wanted here it was late and he just decided to Storm into his Apartment telling him what to do.
Harvey sighed audible, Mike didn't seem to get it and it just made him frustrated. "Break up with this jerry girl" he repeated for the 3th time.
"No I like her! You saved my ass gave me this job but its my life you can't decide who I am with!" Mike shouted.
"Thats true, but you tell me you like her, right? Then how can you be with her if you are in love with Rachel?"
Now Mike winced, he knew Harvey was right but that didn't keep mike from getting angry. Who was he to give relationship advice? "You dont get to say that, I dont take relationship advice from someone who says caring makes you weak!"
"Okay damn it Mike, this isn't something about how to be a good lawyer this is about being with someone you love, get the diffrence!"
"Oh please what do you know about love?"
"Ask Rachel" said Harvey now with a cocky smile.
"What?" Mike was confused about his mentor.
"I am telling you I found the one and I am starting to do things right to be able to make her happy!" Mike couldn't hide how stunned he was, he never thought Harvey would say these words.
"Is it Donna?" Was the first thing Mike got out of his mouth but Harvey made is typical poker face.
"You know actually you really should ask Rachel, because right now she is the only one who knows!"
"You know now that I think about it you trying to help me with my relationship makes you care, you know that right?"
Harvey just grinned at him shook his head and went out of Mike's apartment. Mike now found himself sitting on the couch of his apartment and realising his whole world got just shaken, again.
--
Harvey was sitting on his office chair and tried not to stare at his secretary who had one of her great dresses on. Harvey knew she knew that he was ogling her but he wasn't gonna stop.
Harvey's appreciation for Donna got interrupted by Mike storming into the office. Looking a bit nervous. His eyes were staring sharply to the elder lawyers direction.
"I did what you said, you were right" Mike began but Harvey still hasn't looked up. "Harvey she doesn't return my calls anymore and it freaks me out!"
"Jenny?"
"Rachel!"
"Well why do you tell me that?"
"Come one I know you care, you were the one sabotaging it in the first place!"
"I was calling you out not sabotaging" Harvey corrected firmly.
"Yeah but what do I do now?"
Harvey sighed "Why don't you ask this Donna?" He suggested.
"Why Donna"
"She reads people, knows people better, most scertenly knows Rachel better."
"Thanks for nothing" Mike mutters on his way out".
Donna already tried to make her mind up on what was coming now, she was suprised that Harvey told Mike he should break up with Jenny. She knew Harvey was thinking this, but saying it was diffrent and the warm feeling that this gave her made her grin wide. Pride.
Mike now looked like a lost dog at Donna not knowing how to find words.
"Mike, do you want something?"
"Could you help me?"
"With what?" Donna looked at him knowing it would make him nuts needing to explain.
"Come on I know you did listend!" He sounded now really frustrated.
"Okay so why don't you just go to her?"
"What?" He asked in disbelief.
"Well she is in the same firm as you want something you could just go to her!"
Mike now looked up to her with one of yhe widest grins she ever sas "Donna you are amazing!"
"I know!"
--
The phone that was lay on tbe kitchen counter buzzed and robed Harvey out of his thoughts.
Mike: It is Donna! ;D
Harvey grinned slightly, he used to hate that everybody assumed there was something between them. But now? He liked it, it made him happy and resured him.
Harvey already wanted to take his phone down again, but the next message already appeared on his phone.
Mike: So when are you planing on asking?
Harvey: What don't make a big deal out of it its not like I am proposing...
Mike: you might as well!
Harvey first thought about a good come back, but suddenly he realised Mike wasn't not right.
Harvey: True- but maybe we start actually being in a relationship first...
Afted that he just took his phone on silent mode and went to bed. Tommorow he was going to ask her out. He never was nervous about asking someone out, but with Donna it was diffrent, she is diffrent. He hoped the planning with Rachel was worth it and mostly he just hoped she wouldn't refuse to go out with him in the first place.
To be continued...
--
Okay so first of I really appreciate if zou read this chapter and review. I am here also not to 100% sure if this is the best way to go. Also I didn't know why I put glee in it, I am sorry if you never saw the show, but the song pretending is good and always gave me Darvey vibes! Its also probably gonna come up in like 4 chapters (I dont really planned this threw yet). Well anyways I actually hate storys where songs are written down because mostly I dont know the actual songs... So sorry for that, but I am writing mostly for me because its a good distraction. Anyways I would love feedback! This chapter also had lots of Mike and Rachel stuff which in my opinion isn't really interesting, but its part of the story and needs to be included to work! I actually kinda hinted on also building a friendship between Rachel and Harvey, because I think its a funny thing todo. The next chapter is going to be Harvey asking Donna out? But how will it go- we will see... I hope I am gonna be continuing soon! Also I am trying to make the chapters longer this is at least a bit more then the first one... next is going to be longer... at least I hope so.
