So this was the Master, huh? She looked far different from what Yasusada had expected her to be. Of course he had spoken to her before, which sword has not? But when it came to her face and overall clothing it was always hard to tell. Only very few knew what she exactly looked like. But a redhead with messy hair, a white hoodie and blue shorts? That was something the sword warrior didn't expect at all!

"I thought our Master looked like… Er… How do I say this best?"
"You thought she would be one of those people who'd wear a kimono at all times? That she is taking care of their skin and brushing her hair on a daily basis? Or at the very least wears something elegant?" Kashuu replied, being asked several questions by his fellow sword.
"Yeah, yeah! Exactly!"
He let out a chuckle, shrugging as he smirked at Yamatonokami rather amused. "You were expecting a lot from that slob."
"Slob? Kashuu, I don't think we should insult our Master!"
"I'm not. After all, she's sloppy, clumsy and very unreliable. Not to mention that no one knows what she's thinking."
"Oh c'mon! You're just being dramatic!"
"I wish, I wish" he sighed, shaking his head. "Just be careful. She is a rather unpredictable slob."

The fellow Soji sword had warned him to be careful around the Master as no one knew what she was up to next. But could she be really that bad?
No way, Kashuu was just being a drama queen. After all, Master was chosen by the gods for a reason, granted power with great responsibility! She must be a widely respected person. She just has to be! The other sword just exaggerated a little. Then again, why was Yasusada wasting his thoughts about this in the first place? He should calm down, maybe-
"Heeeey Yasusada… Was it!?" Someone would yell over from afar, making the blue sword warrior stop dead in his tracks, slowly turning around to meet gaze with a woman. A woman who looked familiar. Wait, wasn't that Master? Yeah, that must be her! He would recognize that messy, crimson red hair anywhere at any time of the day! No doubt about it!
And now that he had a view up close he could see more of her details. The hoodie and shorts she wore really emphasized on her figure in some way, her blue shorts even being literally skin tight. She wore no pair of socks, let alone shoes. She was running around on bare feet without a care in the world, judging from her wide smile as she held up a small package. The package itself seemed to have a rather sweet smell, possible to draw anyone in in a matter of seconds, as if inviting anyone nearby in. It was hard to resist, very hard, as well as to stay back. For a moment he felt like his feet were taking a few steps towards her, gaze focused on the box, sniffing every time the scent was meeting his nose. Though he would not stay in this trance for very long as the voice of his Master would bring him back to reality, whether he wanted to or not. She said his name a few times, over and over, until he finally let out a quick shriek, taking one or two steps backwards out of the mere surprise, his wide, blue eyes wandering to the red head nearly instantly. "Y… Yes!?" He added, nearly shouting it across the room.
"Yeesh, look at you. Just walking over like that, I wanted to ask you something."
"A… A… Ask me something? Did I do something? if so I'm te-"
"Let me finish, nothing like that Yasusada. Yeeesh." She shook her head a few times, then moving on: "I just wanted to know if you wanted to have those snacks with me. Y'know, over a cup of green tea."
A quick blink as well as a little disbelief filled the eyes of the sword, wanting to make sure he had heard it right. "Wait, wait, wait. You want to-"
"Have tea and snacks? Yeah, duh. And it's even tastier with some nice company. What do ya say?"
"I… Erm…" He was unable to comply. As Master seriously asked him- Wait, Master was asking him. He couldn't refuse that now could-
"I'm taking that as a yes!" She would interrupt him and grab his hand right away, grinning brightly. "C'mon, c'mon!"
"Wait, but I didn't- M… Master!?" Yasusada would try to say yet it was too late at this point. She had him in her grasp, dragging him right into a room, even if he were to protest there was nothing he could do right now. She was dead set on one thing and one alone: Inviting the Soji Sword over to some tea and snacks.

Said and done. Soon the Master and her sword were sitting at a woodend table, kettle right in between them as well as some freshly baked cookies. In front of each of them was a tea cup filled with the classic green tea, freshly brewed it seemed, judging from the light trail of smoke coming from each cup. Only a few minutes had passed and Yasusada was left in utter confusion. He was unable to stop Etsuko after all, from one moment to the next he was talking his ears full, filling each of them with quite a few complaints.
"Y'know, being Saniwa can be a pain in the ass." She would begin, grabbing one of the cookies and taking a loud bite out of it, continuing with a full mouth. "All this paperwork, dispatching swords, managing materials for the repair room, getting swords on duties. Ahh, it's too much for one woman! If I knew being the Saniwa was that much trouble I would've told that god to pick someone else! This is hell!"
"I… I see…" The sword warrior tried to force a smile on his face yet it ended up having a hint of nervousness on it, to the point he was unable to grab the tea cup and take a sip out of it. She was just talking and talking. Was she just using him to relieve her stress? If so he wasn't one to decline. If she had to vent that was fine with him. But disguising it as an invitation to tea, he wasn't sure how to respond to that. It was a little odd.
"And then Hasebe! He's the worst! Caging-"
"You inside your room for a long time and not letting you go?" Yamato No Kami finally continued with a sigh, dropping his head in defeat. He had no choice anymore but to oblige, didn't he? There was worse than that at least. "Yes, yes. We have all heard of that Master. I-"
"Eh? Master?" The red head would let out slightly confused, having swallowed the cookie by now, making the male turn his head up again to face her.
"Hm? Did I say something wrong Master?"
"There, there! There it is again!"
"Hah? Master, what are-"
"You did it again! I heard it loud and clear!"
"Eh!? Master!? What's gotten-"
"Etsuko!"
"Hah!? What are you-"
"Et-su-ko!"
"Master!? Can you just tell me what's wrong!?" Yasusada was now more than confused, having not expected this. Just what was she talking about!? He knew her name so what was the point of this now!? What was he-
"Say it!" She suddenly seemed to demand, her gaze focusing right on him, not letting him out of her sight.
"Eh? Well, I can do that Ma-"
"Just say it already Yasusada, yeesh! I need someone here to call me by my name!" She kept on complaining, seeming to slamm both of her hands on the table, at least almost. It made the sword nearly reele back in shock, even be a little terrified at this sudden shift in tone. She seemed to really insist on this! And if he didn't do it, who knows what she will do!
"Aaah! Ok, ok! Etsuko! I'll call you Etsuko, alright!?"
She then folded her arms, nodding in approval. "Yes, yes. That is more than alright Yasusada. Thank you." Then moving her hands to her tea cup, holding it up and taking a long sip from it.
What was this for!? That was a little terrifying, the sword had to admit. Was this why Kashuu told him to be careful? Was this what he meant by 'unpredictable'? Because this was the last thing the sword had expected to happen. Why was she insisting? Why was she overreacting? The more he thought about it, the more of a puzzle it became. What was going on in Master's head!? He didn't get it, at all! And hearing her taking a drawn out sip was making this a little more terrifying! Maybe it's best to-
"By the way Yasusada…" Etsuko would finally break the awkward silence inside the room and place the tea cup down, making the male nearly reele backwards, get up and run out but he would only end up blinking a few times when hearing her ask in a calmer voice: "Do you like it here?"
"Huh? If I like it here?" He repeated asking.
She nodded. "Yes, yes. I mean, I never got to ask you ever since you came here. And it has been how long? A year? No, maybe more. I dunno but that's not the point. I just wanna know if you're having a fun time with everyone."
"If I'm having a fun time? Well, yeah. I do. Lots and lots actually." Yasusada would finally reply, calming down as he started to smile a little. "Everyone is so nice and welcoming as well as colorful. We have so many faces around here it never gets boring nor lonely!"
"Really!? Thank goodness, I was a little worried."
"Worried? Ah, no! There's really no need Ma- I mean Etsuko. If there was I think you would've already caught on."
"In my four walls? I don't think so. All I got was getting papers shoved right into my face! I didn't even get a chance to look after y'all!"
"It's fine, it's fine! We understand, you're busy. Right?"
"Well, to a degree. But that doesn't excuse me neglecting any of you. What kind of Master does that?"
"W… Well, I mean… True but-"
"Exactly! I have a year or two to make up for! With everyone actually! No excuses! That goes for you too Yasusada! If there's anything you want to tell me, do it! I insist!"
"A… Are you sure!? No one wants to bother you after all."
"Oh shush! None of you are bothering me! It's the least a Master can, no, must do!"
Yasusada was a little speechless. This woman can change her mood quicker than… Than… He got nothing yet it was all so sudden. But it wasn't unpleasant. It felt natural, like she was just being herself around them. And being yourself is never a bad thing, right? Or he was reading too deep into this right now.
"Y… Yes, understood." He finally said agreeing, yet not sure how to continue this. Master was sure of a mystery on her own. Though he could safely say one thing about her if he had to. She wasn't so bad to be around with. Her being unpredictable made even a simple conversation over some tea fun, trying to figure out or witness what she would say next. It kept things fresh, as sudden as it can be. He wasn't really complaining.
"Good, good. Now, since we're here… How about you tell me something? Anything you wanna talk about?" Etsuko asked with a grin. "Don't be shy too! I'm down to anything!"
"M… Me!? I can do that bu-"
"Let's hear it then! I'm all ears!"
"Well, if you insist… There is so-"
Although before the sword could continue the door was suddenly slammed open, making the male jump up sitting, turning sight around to meet a familiar sight, one of the fellow Sword Warriors. The professional chef himself, Shokudaikiri Mitsutada. And judging from the one eye anyone could see he wasn't in the nest mood right now, having narrowed the eyebrow as he looked around the room, his gaze stopping at the female. "There you are!" He yelled, seeming to be close to grumble which made the Master chuckle a little nervously. "A… Ah, Shokudaikiri. W… What a… Surprise, heh~" She was at least trying to keep a calm act yet would fail. Anyone could see right through it.
"You have a lot to explain! First off, where are the snacks I-"
"Ah, would you look at the time! Is that Hasebe I hear!? Yes, yes! Looks like I gave some unfinished work! I better get going before he complains!" She would try to excuse herself with a forced smile, getting up , walking up to the window and opening it as she was speaking. "We'll talk later! See ya!" Before deciding to suddenly jump out of it and running off as if her life was on the line, even screaming a bit loudly as she did.
"What the- Hey, you get back here right now Missy!" The male with the eyepatch would shout right after her, making a run for it as well, leaving the door widely open however.
Left in the room was a confused Yasusada who was asking himself what just had happened for a moment yet decided to drop it. At least now he knew why the cookies smelled so alluring, to the point he had grabbed a few and was munching on them during all of this, something Shokudaikiri may not have noticed as he was after all busy targeting Etsuko.
"Master is something. But I don't believe she is a bad person. Just a little… Special, yeah!"
