SmackDown: 17/5/2001
Just 72 hours before Judgement Day, SmackDown exploded from Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky. - the site of last year's Judgement Day!
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Kane's theme played before his pyro went off and his theme was replaced by the Undertaker's and out comes the Brothers of Destruction, all three brothers making their way down the ramp towards the ring. Kane had the chain in hand while Bladewolf had his baseball bat in hand. The three brothers roll into the ring and Undertaker's theme dies down as he grabs the microphone, looking very much in an angry mood.
"Now I ain't much in a talking mood tonight, so I'm going to make this short and sweet." Undertaker said as he paced, his brothers watching him. "Last Monday Night, some sorry ass**** called the Cincinnati PD that my wife was in a car wreck. And then this same person decided to call my wife and tell her that her mother was in a wreck. We've found out everybody's just fine. My wife's fine, her mother's fine, there was no wreck! But I tell you what, when I find out who made these phone calls they are gonna wish they were in a car wreck. Because what i am going to do to them will be far worse than any damn car wreck. You see the pain that I felt Monday, this person is gonna feel that pain a thousand times over that they will be unable to imagine the pain i will put them through. So that brings me to the question: Who did it? Now, I'm no betting man but if I had to put money on it...I'd say it's that bald-headed, no good gutless son of a bitch, Austin! So if it is Austin, I got some questions for him tonight and he better have the right damn answers. Because when he gets here tonight, his ass is mine! I've already warned him once, mess with my family and I will hurt you. So Austin believe this, when you talked Monday Night about the rumours of my wife's mangled face... I want you to understand that if you don't have the right answers, the rumours about mangled faces and broken bodies will become a reality."
He drops the microphone as Kane raises his arms before throwing them down which causes fire to explode from the turnbuckles and the three brothers leave the ring, the Undertaker now on the hunt for Austin when he arrives at the arena.
eff Hardy, Matt Hardy and Lita got ready for their match in the locker room area, and they talked about whether they could trust Eddie Guerrero. As Team Extreme talked, Eddie walked up to them and said he wouldn't trust him either!
Guerrero teamed with the Hardys next in six-man action, as the trio took on Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Jerry Lynn. One of the big stories in the match was that Guerrero was against Saturn and Malenko, his former partners in the Radicalz.
In fact, Guerrero won the bout for his team by forcing Malenko to tap out to his new submission hold - the Lasso from El Paso.
Stone Cold and Debra arrived at the arena, and moments later, the couple talked in the locker room. Suddenly, Commissioner William Regal barged in and told Austin how furious the Undertaker was. Stone Cold asked how the Taker's wife was, and Regal told Austin that it had all been a hoax - and the Undertaker blamed the Rattlesnake for it! Stone Cold was irate at being accused of such a thing.
Next up, the Big Show took on Bradshaw. Faarooq joined Michael Cole and Tazz for commentary, and as the match got underway, Test strolled down to the ringside area, distracting the Big Show. Soon, the referee was distracted, and Test climbed into the ring and kicked Big Show's teeth in! A Clothesline from Hell later, Bradshaw pinned the 500-pound monster!
Undertaker burst into Stone Cold's dressing room and started pounding on the Texas Rattlesnake. As referees pulled the Taker off the Rattlesnake, Austin told Taker that it wasn't him who called the cops - it was Triple H! Austin said that if Triple H was sick enough to have him run down with a car, then he was sick enough to call the Taker's wife. Austin said that he wouldn't mess with a man's wife. Taker said that if Austin was lying, he would rip his heart out.
Michael Cole and Tazz then announced a Tag Team Turmoil match for Judgment Day - involving Edge & Christian, the Dudley Boyz, the Hardy Boyz, APA, X-Factor and the Radicalz. The winner of this bout will be the No. 1 Contenders for the Tag Team Championship, currently held by the Two-Man Power Trip.
The Undertaker was shown on his phone backstage with Kane and Bladewolf standing there. He spoke with the Cincinnati Police Department, who informed him that the prank calls had come from Triple H's cell phone!
Coach asked Kurt Angle if he had chosen the stipulations for the Medals Match this Sunday at Judgment Day. Angle said he had - and it was a doozy.
Taker then barged into Commissioner Regal's office and demanded a No Holds Barred match for SmackDown! against Triple H. A petrified Commissioner Regal granted the Taker's request!
In tag-team action, Commissioner Regal and Kurt Angle took on Chris Benoit and Rikishi. Prior to the bout, Angle said he had the perfect match in mind for Judgment Day. He called out Benoit, and when the Wolverine walked to the stage, Angle said the match would be a straight-up wrestling match with no crazy stipulations. Benoit said the idea sucked - and then suggested a 2-out-of-3 falls encounter - with the first fall being pins only, the second fall being submissions only, and the third fall being a Ladder Match, with the medals suspended above the ring! Angle agreed to the stipulations!
In the ensuing tag match, Angle hit the Olympic Slam on Benoit, but instead of going for the pin, a disgusted Angle reached down Benoit's tights and took back his gold medals! But as Angle celebrated, Benoit snuck up from behind and locked in the Crossface! Angle's body was wracked with pain, and he had no choice but to drop the gold medals and to tap out, giving Benoit and Rikishi the win! Benoit then grabbed the gold medals and left!
Triple H and Stephanie arrived at the arena moments later, and everyone they ran into gave them the cold shoulder.
Moments later, the Game asked Paul Heyman why everyone was acting so strange. Heyman said that the entire locker room was mad at Triple H after what he had done. Triple H had no idea what Heyman was talking about, and when Heyman filled him in on the evening's activities thus far, the Game was irate at the Rattlesnake!
In a non-title Handicap Match, Chyna took on Molly Holly and Ivory. The Ninth Wonder of the World won the bout, pinning Ivory after a powerbomb. After the match, Lita ran to the ring and raised Chyna's hand, and then surprisingly, Eddie Guerrero walked to the stage and applauded!
Triple H marched into Stone Cold's locker room and demanded an explanation. The Rattlesnake said he wanted nothing to do with Triple H, and that their alliance was over. Stone Cold said he was the World Wrestling Federation Champion, and the Game was nothing but a cheap-shot artist.
The Game promised Austin that he had nothing to do with it - and Austin reminded Triple H of when he had promised that he had nothing to do with Austin being run over with a car, which turned out to be a lie. An irate Game again vowed his innocence, and before leaving the Rattlesnake's locker room, he said that their fight wasn't over.
Next up, Chris Jericho took on Edge. Y2J was still suffering the after-effects of a minor concussion he suffered on Monday's RAW IS WAR, the result of a con-chair-to. Jericho was able to get it together for the bout, however, and he seemed to have the match won with the Walls of Jericho. But Christian distracted the ref, allowing Edge to nail Y2J with a chair when Jericho went for the Lionsault. Three seconds later, Edge had scored the pinfall victory!
Triple H went into Commissioner Regal's office and declared his innocence. The Game demanded that the commissioner cancel his match against the Undertaker. He reminded Regal who the Game's wife and father-in-law were. A stone-faced Regal got right in Triple H's face, saying that he would not cancel the match, and he hoped Taker would hurt him badly for what he had done.
Lilian Garcia interviewed Chris Jericho, and Y2J said that if Edge & Christian were in the Tag Team Turmoil match at Judgment Day, then so was he. He said that he didn't have a partner just yet, but he promised to erase E&C's Tag Team Championship dreams this Sunday.
Debra approached Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and said she hoped Triple H would get his head bashed in later in the night. Stephanie told Debra that her husband had been framed.
Molly Holly approached her cousin Hardcore and asked if his match with Spike Dudley on SmackDown! had anything to do with her conversation with Spike last week. Hardcore said that Crash was right - for once - and that Spike was not to be trusted, since the Dudleys like to put women through tables. Hardcore said he was going to finish the job on SmackDown!, and that Molly would thank him one day.
Undertaker was shown meeting up with his brothers backstage, apologizing to Kane for what he was going to do to Triple H tonight.
"Taker, I know you wanna tear Triple H apart tonight, but you got a match with Austin this Sunday for the WWF title and you need to be at your best when you take the title from him." Bladewolf points out.
Undertaker scoffs. "I don't care about that, all that matters is Triple H is gonna get his ass whooped big time."
"Hey I get it, but you might get injured and Austin will take advantage of that. Let me take care of Triple H, I got a score to settle with him and I could use a warm up before Judgement Day."
Undertaker was silent as he considers it and looks at Kane who nods, showing he agrees with Bladewolf's point."Damn, alright fine, but you better make sure Triple H get what's coming to him and make him suffer."
Bladewolf lifts his bat and rests it against his shoulder. "Oh don't worry, there'll be plenty of suffering that I'll put him through before I'm finished with him. And don't worry Kane, I'll soften him up for you and leave just enough for you."
With that he walks past his brothers who watch him go.
Next up, Spike Dudley - accompanied by Bubba Ray and D-Von - took on Hardcore Holly, who was seconded by Crash. Hardcore pinned Spike following a huge slam, but after the match, Bubba Ray and D-Von gave Crash a 3-D!
As Triple H was getting ready for his match with the Bladewolf, having been informed it was Bladewolf he was facing tonight instead of the Undertaker, Stephanie suddenly remembered that Stone Cold had asked to borrow Triple H's cell phone on Monday! The Game was irate, but said it was too late to do anything about it now. He then grabbed a chain and headed to the ring for his No Holds Barred match.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
'Oh, ah, ah, ah, ah! Get up, come on get down with the sickness!'
Down with the Sickness plays to a huge pop from the crowd as the Bladewolf walks out with his baseball bat in hand. Bladewolf looked ready to make somebody bleed tonight, he was looking to get some payback on Triple H for busting him open Monday Night on RAW with a damn chain. The bandage was still on his forehead where Triple H cut him open.
Bladewolf enters the ring and takes off his jacket, throwing it aside and leans against the turnbuckkes with his bat laying next to him and his theme dies down as he stands there, just waiting.
Triple H's theme hits and he comes out onto the stage and begins making his way down the ramp, Bladewolf eying him, not taking his eyes off of Triple H. As soon as Triple H gets onto the ring apron and turns his back to Bladewolf to do his water pose, Bladewolf attacks Triple H from behind, sending him down to the mat below and Bladewolf gets out the ring as the referee calls for the bell to begin the match.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf stomps away on Triple H before picking him up and Irish whips him into the barricade then runs and drives his knee into the Game's stomach before headbutting Triple H in the forehead. Bladewolf furiously begins pounding away at Triple H's forehead, the Cerebral Assassin trying to get away but Bladewolf was right on him as he clobbers Triple H from behind, both men now on the ramp as Bladewolf continues his attack on Triple H.
Bladewolf picks Triple H up and slams him onto the stage ramp then grabs Triple H and knocks him down with a hard right hand, sending Triple H rolling down the ramp and to ringside.
Bladewolf goes to grab him but Triple H lands a punch into Bladewolf's stomach, causing the Demon Wolf to grunt a little in pain but allows Triple H to move away and he picks up a steel chair which he bashes off the face of the Bladewolf.
Triple H unloads on Bladewolf with the chair, striking any part of the body he can. The chair ends up dented beyond repair so he tosses it aside and grabs Bladewolf by the hair, bouncing his face off the ring apron. Bladewolf stumbles a little and Triple H picks up another steel chair and whacks it off the face again, then lands another chair shot straight to the skull, sending the big man down.
Triple H attacks again and again with the chair before that one too ends up dented and he tosses it aside before looking underneath for another weapon as Bladewolf lays there...when he suddenly sits up which gets the crowd cheering and Triple H backs off.
Bladewolf gets to his feet as Triple H grabs a trash can from underneath the ring and raises it to hit Bladewolf but Bladewolf lands a boot to the chest of Triple H, causing him to drop the trash can which Bladewolf picks up and tosses into the ring.
Bladewolf lands a few lefts and rights at Triple H before tossing him back into the ring and looks underneath the ring.
Bladewolf doesn't see what he wants and stand sup straight before rolling back into the ring as Triple H gets to his feet. Bladewolf walks over and knocks him down with a hard right hand. Not allowing him a chance to recover, Bladewolf continues his assault with stomps to Triple H's chest.
Bladewolf picks up Triple H and locks in a hold on his right arm, causing Triple H to yell in pain before Bladewolf starts driving his elbow into Triple H's chest multiple times, weakening Trippe H with each strike until Bladewolf wraps both arms around him from behind and hits a German Suplex.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and rolls out the ring, looking underneath it before pulling out a table which he tosses into the ring, then tosses out another table into the ring before he takes out a sledgehammer and shrugs before tossing that into the ring, then a couple of steel chairs before he slides back into the ring.
Bladewolf slides back into the ring but Triple H takes advantage and quickly gets Bladewolf's head in between his legs, hooks his arms up...AND NAILS THE PEDIGREE ON THE STEEL CHAIR! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Triple H punched the mat in frustration before he gets to his feet and sees the baseball bat so he picks it up and smirks as he stands over the Bladewolf, aiming it at his neck and raises it...WHEN BLADEWOLF KNEES HIM IN BETWEEN THE LEGS! Triple H groans in pain and goes down as Bladewolf gets to his feet, shaking off the Pedigree and he grabs Triple H, send shim into the corner and unloads with lefts and rights all over the Intercontinental Champion.
Bladewolf backs up as he watches Triple H stumble forward before grabbing him by the throat, lifts him up...AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM! Bladewolf leaves the ring and walks over to the steel steps, picks them up and tosses them into the ring. He rolls back into the ring and sets the steel steps up again before he grabs Triple H and puts him onto them before walking up the steps and grabs Triple H, setting him up for the Last Ride.
"Hey Bladewolf!" Bladewolf looked to see Stone Cold on the titantron. "You better listen to Stone Cold Steve Austin. Triple H, I don't need your cellphone tonight, I got a direct line." He presses a button and starts dialling a number and someone answered. "Hello Sara."
Bladewolf's eyes widened as he now realizes it WAS Austin that did the phone calls all along! Before he could do anything, Triple H attacks him from behind with the baseball bat and begins beating him down with it as Austin runs down the ramp and helps Triple H.
They placed his arm between the steel steps and Austin, with the chair, hit the steel steps and Bladewolf felt something pop as Austin continued to hit his arm, Bladewolf yelling in pain as he felt his arm break. Kane and the Undertaker run down the ramp and Austin and Triple H retreat as the two brothers glare after them before they carefully get the steps off Bladewolf's arm and stay with him as EMTs come to his aid.
SmackDown goes off the air...
So Bladewolf has been injured again, yikes. This injury will keep him out for a couple of months but not enough to miss the Invasion storyline. Trust me, he wont be missing all of that.
