"This is already starting off as the greatest birthday i've ever had. Thank you mom. And grandma Victoria." The teenager said. Pulling the two women into a hug.

Before putting her car keys in her pocket for safe keeping before grabbing ahold of her breakfast tray.

"Mother can i speak to you outside.?" Brooke asked.

"Sure i'll see you later Sammie. Come by later to see me and grandpa Ted." Victotia announced.

"I will. Thanks again." Sam replied.

Brooke practically pushed her mother out the teenager's bedroom.

"What exactly is the problem.?" Victoria questioned.

Brooke looked back at her mother with an annoyed expression splashed across her face.

"A car. We already talked about this. If that's something she wants i expect her to earn it. Not just be given it. Now i can't take the car away or i'll look like the enemy. And i don't want to ruin her day. Do you see the impossible position you're impulsive decisions put me in!" Brooke proclaimed.

"Relax Brooke. You never had to work for anything you're father and I gave you. Sam is practically is Davis. I don't see why you would have such a hard time with her. Being accustomed to this lifestyle. It's all she's ever known. It's about time that she get to enjoy the perks of it." Victoria replied.

"I don't need parenting advice from you or my father. I know what i'm doing. Respect my wishes regarding Sam or the two of you will need to take a break from each other." Brooke stated.

"This car is amazing. I can't believe Victoria just handed over the keys. You're so lucky." Brandon Scott said.

"She spoils me. It makes my mom crazy. Which i think is weirdly fun for her." Sam replied to her best friend.

It had always been Sam and Brandon. Ever since she was 10.

"Is you're mom still having the annual birthday party for you at the house.?" Quentin Fields questioned.

"Of course. You're invited i mean if you want to be there." Sam replied nervously.

"I wouldn't miss it." "I'll catch you later B." Quentin stated as he left and joined the other basketball players along with the cheerleaders.

"You couldn't be more obviously into him." Brandon interjected.

Sam quickly turned her head around.

"I am not into him. We are friends." Sam replied.

"Yeah sure whatever you say." Brandon said. Wrapping his arms around hers as they made their way into the school.

Clothes Over Bros

Brooke was so busy shredding old mail and outdated documents that she didn't even notice her store door opening and closing.

"I brought you lunch. There is no need to thank me. You work endless hours during the week plus given what today is i'm sure you're mind is on anything but work."

"I can't believe our girl is 16 now." Lucas said with a smile. Placing down the container that held the lunch for with her beverage.

"Thanks Lucas and um yeah my mind isn't on work today at all."

"I shouldn't of come in today. Why can't people just stay where they are and leave well enough alone.?" Brooke asked.

"Do you want me to answer that or do you just need to vent.?" Lucas replied.

Brooke took a breath and looked to him.

"Sam has been getting these letters from her mom. For weeks now. Today was no exception. She knows nothing about it. I've been debating telling her about it."

"I mean who the hell does this woman think she is.? More importantly what does she want.?" Brooke questioned.
