"Havoc this is TOC, hostiles are 35 clicks out. There is no change to their trajectory. Siege protocol is confirmed."

"TOC, this is Havoc, that's a hard copy."

Emily and Joey looked at the screen and were following the convoy through the drone feed. Goodwin, and Lindell entered the room and joined them.

"An update on the situation Captain?"

"Yes sir. Hostiles are still on route towards the base and should be engaging in 28 mikes, Sir. We've got two birds leaving Tabqa, their ETA," Emily looked at the clock on the wall," is 40 mikes, Sir. Havoc has been advised to initiate siege protocol and if breach occurs, it will be activated. I also have a Super Stallion and Medevac, on standby in case of Exfil."

Goodwin nodded. "I see you have the situation in hand Captain. Let's hope our men won't be needing any of that. Good job."

"Havoc, this is TOC, hostiles are 5 mikes out. What is your status?"

"TOC, we are ready and prepared to engage."

Emily had been right. The first contact was made a little over 5 minutes. Multiple RPGs came and bombarded the base.

Ray, Clay, Sonny and their counterparts, that had taken place on higher ground were returning fire, to try and neutralizer the jeeps carrying the RPGs and kill as many assailants as they could. Jason, Brock, Trent, Full-Metal and their equivalents were also posted on the different corners of the base returning fire at the hostiles that were walking out of their jeeps and heading for the ramparts of the base.

TOC was watching the scene unfold via the drone feed.

"Zach, get me a close up of the North wall," said Emily as she squinted. When Zach did so, she immediately grabbed the radio.

"Bravo 1, Sierra 1, you've got a group of seven hostiles that are setting up explosives on the far-left North wall."

"Copy that," answered Jason just as Eric joined them. "Does anyone have eyes on them?"

"That's a negative Bravo 1. We've got no view from any of our positions," answered Ray.

Eric looked around. "I'll head up on the West wall. Bravo 3 you head over from the East wall."

Emily watched as her brother climbed up West wall and head towards the North wall all the while shooting at the enemy on his flank. From the corner of the eye, she saw Sonny stand from his position on the East wall and do the same.

They were progressing fast and Emily hoped it would be fast enough. From the drone feed, it appeared as though the explosives were still being placed. They had, at the most 3 minutes till breach.

"Mortar! Take cover!" yelled Tim over the radio.

Everyone on the ground ducked and took cover. Three mortars landed in three different sections of the base, sending debris and some soldiers flying or to the ground.

But Emily never left her eyes on the potential breach location that Eric and Sonny were nearing. They were almost within shooting distance of the enemy and had remained undetected, but the mortar launch had slowed them down. She watched as the enemies, walked backwards, unspooling the wire for detonation.

"Lieutenant Commander, Bravo 3, you need to get off that wall, now!" she said in the radio.

Just as the wall exploded, Eric and Sonny were jumping from their locations. It was an 8-foot jump and with all the debris, it was impossible to see their status. She held her breath. When the dust settled, Jason and the others were taking heavy fire and firing back as they tried to hold their offensive line. Some of the militants came and helped them as more hostiles arrived from the West and entered at the breach location. There were so many men that it was impossible to know full well who was who.
