Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, nor Winx Club. Only this story.
AN. 1: So, I decided to continue it. I will be honest, at the moment I'm writing this author's note, I have no idea how this is going to turn out, so I can only hope I will meet your expectations. In this chapter, we will be branching out a lot from the movie.
AN. 2: I don't know if I'll still be writing this until Season 4, but if I am, then you must know I will be doing drastic changes to the plotline, not just to make Winx Club's timeline more… Reasonable, but also to make sense of my plans to explain why there are two types of magic in this Universe. No, Roxy will not be a witch, for anyone that may be asking this. I already found a way to keep her as a fairy with the rest of Earth's magicals to be wizards and witches.
AN. 3: I forgot to talk about the Hinny soulbond in the synopsis. As I already said in the last chapter's ANs, I'm a sucker for canon pairings and there was a time I was reading a lot of Hinny soulbond stories. I always wanted to do one myself, but I never had the courage to do so, so since I decided to do this project, I thought 'Why not?' Now, this is my first time ever writing a soulbond fanfic and I'm doing this while on a crossover with a concept not much used before (I saw a lot of fanfiction with Bloom as a Potter, but not with Harry and Bloom as siblings, with the exception of the one that inspires this one). This can go very well or very, very wrong.
AN. 4: Since I'm continuing this story, I would like you guys to give me tips on things I can change or incorporate to make the story more enjoyable. Also, until the end of The Secret of the Lost Kingdom and the beginning of Season 4 there will be some Interlude (filler) chapters. I would like for some ideas of things I could do for this chapters.
AN. 5: Lastly before starting the chapter for real, thank you guys for the favorites and followings. I appreciate all of your support. Now, let's hop in!
Bloom didn't exactly know if her plans for the coming rest of the year would work nicely, so she could only hope for the best. Although, nothing will ever start if she keeps herself from playing the bell on the doorway. She wasn't scared of meeting her parents, but she didn't want to see their possible faces of disappointment because she had plans that would most probably keep her away of Gardenia for the rest of the season. Well, she couldn't stay at the entrance for the rest of the day, so better now than later, she guessed. So she played it. It wasn't a minute until the door opened and Mike and Vanessa had appeared, and they were a little shocked. Maybe she should have advised them beforehand she was coming.
"Bloom!" Both exclaimed, with Mike quickly embrace his daughter.
"You didn't say you were coming." Vanessa looks around, seeing the luggage Bloom brought with her, where Kiko stands. "And judging by the size of your package, I can already see it's not just a visit."
"Sorry, mom..." Bloom said sheepishly, while stopping from hugging her dad. "I didn't remember to say anything about coming home."
"Don't worry, Bloom. This is, as you said, your home. You'll be always welcomed here." Vanessa said as Ron popped in front of both Mike and she.
"W-Wait! D-Did you bring a cat too?!" Mike asked, now a little desperate.
"What? Ron is a beautiful magical cat." Bloom answered, knowing exactly the why of her father's reaction.
"B-But Bloom, you know I'm… I'm…" At that, Mike looked behind him gave a huge sneeze. Bloom and Vanessa both laughed at that. "Allergic to cats..." He finished, dejectedly.
"Well, why don't we enter? I bet there are loads of things you want to tell us." Vanessa was sure of that. Bloom loved the Magical Dimension with all her heart. She was sure there were things Bloom wanted to tell them.
Bloom knew that was coming. She could see this even at a mile of distance, but she didn't back off before. She couldn't back off now.
"Mom, dad… There is something I must confess to you." Now was the time. All three of them were sitting in the seats of the Living Room, discussing the latest events in the Magical Dimension. Bloom told them about the Day of the Gift and how the other members of the Winx Club became Guardian Fairies, and how even if she wasn't one now, she would definitely become one in the future.
"What is it, dear? Is something bad going on?" Vanessa asked, confused. Bloom was in such a good mood moments ago while she told them everything that happened to her and her friends in the last few months, but suddenly she got serious.
"Oh, no! Nothing bad, it's just..." Bloom thought a little before speaking again. "There is a possibility I won't be able to spend the rest of the year with you both here, even though it is what I had originally planned."
"And what is it, Bloom? Is there anything we can help you?" Mike questioned, worried it may be something dangerous to his daughter.
"Well, before coming back, Mrs. Faragonda told me that... I wasn't the only baby to be brought here to Earth all those years ago." At that, both of Bloom's parents mouths drop, not expecting that. "Somewhere out there there is a boy who shares half of the same power I have, my twin brother."
"Wait! You have a brother? I thought you only had a sister." Vanessa didn't understand. If Bloom already met her older sister, then she would also know about a brother, right?
"Yes! It's what a thought too! And… Well, I don't know him, but I want to meet him… Maybe even show him the Magical Dimension!" Bloom might not know anything about her brother, but it was her family! She only knew personally Daphne from her birth family. She still wanted to meet other members of said family, other people that shared her blood.
"Do you know where he is?" Vanessa asked. She wouldn't want her daughter traveling around the country or the world trying to find someone she didn't even know.
"I… Don't, but I have a way to find him." At that, Bloom left both her hands close to each other, and generated a small flame. "I can use my half of the Dragon Flame to find his, as both parts are connected magically." She then dispelled the flame. " I still didn't try to locate him, but I don't think it'll be a hard task." If it was like when she was 16 and had just discovered about magic, then she would have a lot of trouble, as she couldn't focus on her magic at the time, but now the use of her magic was all but instinctive to her.
"When do you pretend to leave?" Now it was Mike asking. He didn't want to see his daughter going away so soon.
"In case my brother happens to be here on Gardenia or on a close city, I won't even need to leave to find him..." Bloom said.
"And if he's not close?" Now it was Vanessa, also fearing the answer a little.
"If he's not close, then… I guess I'll have to go find him." Bloom answered, now fearing her parents reaction.
Mike and Vanessa could see the discomfort in Bloom's face with the fact, but they knew she wasn't feeling disappointment at the fact that she would have to find her brother, but rather was nervous about their reaction.
"Bloom, no matter what you decide to do in the matter, you have our support." Vanessa reassured Bloom, trying to appease her conflict.
"Yes. You're now 18 and a responsible adult. If you want to find him, them go for it." Mike said, playfully.
"Oh, so now that I'm 2 years older I'm not your little girl anymore?" Bloom asked, remembering when her dad had said she was a little girl at 16.
"Oh, you're still definitely my little girl, but you're also my little responsible adult girl." Mike answered with a grin in his face.
That had made Bloom laugh, and now she was sure her parents were okay with whatever she did in the matter. God, she loved her parents.
As it turned out, her brother was not in Gardenia. He wasn't even in the United States. Bloom tried to locate Phoebus while sitting in her old bed. She could feel a magic signature coming from somewhere in Britain, but where exactly, she didn't have any idea. The signature was very weak and difficult to pinpoint, and this had worried her a little at the beginning, thinking her brother might have been dying at the moment, but then she remembered Faragonda had told her the moment she had felt the Dragon Flame, it had vanished again, suggesting something was cloaking the signal, and this calmed her down. Since Phoebus was in another continent, there was no way she could stay at Gardenia. She didn't have Stella's staff that could teleport her basically anywhere and flying to Europe as a fairy was out of question.
Bloom waited until the next day to inform this to Mike and Vanessa, and while saddened that Bloom couldn't stay more with them, they understood. It was a few days later until she left Gardenia to start her search in the most famous city of Britain, London.
The 10 hour flight from the coast of the United States until the capital of England was very tedious and tiring to Bloom. She became familiar with the presence of her friends while flying long distances in her time on Alfea, so to spend 10 hours doing nothing but stay seated and quiet was a torture. She didn't knew what she would find or what could happen during this travel, so she decided to let Kiko and Ron with her parents in Gardenia. Now she was leaving the London-Heathrow Airport and actually entering the city. She entered one of the local taxi, or 'cabs' as the locals seem to call, to go to one hotel in the area, where she would be able to stay for a few days. After setting up everything for her time there, she decided to go explore, as not only she didn't know exactly where she was going, but she also wanted to make her time there worth it. She saw the Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, the London Eyes and a lot more.
She kept going around until she saw a man in what seemed to be in old dark robes entering the Charing Cross Road. The robes wasn't what called her attention, but the fact that the moment she passed close to the man, she felt magic. Well, in a way. It felt like magic, but at the same time, different. She ended up following him until he entered a very old pub called Leaky… What? Leaky Cauldron? What kind of name was that? There were some people going around on the street, so maybe she could get some information on the place?
"Uh, excuse me, sir?" She decided to ask for help for an old man that was reading a newspaper on a close public seat. He looked at her. "Could you please give me some information about that place?" Bloom asked, while pointing to the pub.
"Ah, young lady, that's just some broken-down old shop from the street. No one really entered there in years. I'm still surprised it wasn't sold or demolished." The man's answer greatly confused Bloom, as she literally just saw someone entering the place. Someone with magic at that, or something at least similar.
"Right… Thanks." Bloom might have got confused with the situation, but the man still gave her information, so she should at least thank him.
Bloom decided to keep observing the place from a distance, waiting to guarantee she didn't saw things. About two minutes later, another person, this time a woman, entered the place. She was also using very distinct robes, but what surprised her was the fact no one seem to have noticed it. She even saw a kid with their parents asking about the place while going on the street, and the parents seem to have the same opinion the old man had said her about the place. She was now sure something weird was going on. She decided to feel the magic around her almost gasped at the fact she could feel a lot of magic coming from the pub, and even more… Behind it?
Now her curiosity was off the charts. Magic, on Earth? Earth was outside of the Magical Dimension, so it shouldn't have magic here. Also, if there was magic on Earth, then why didn't the rest of the world know about it? Why couldn't the people without magic see it? Even in the Magical Dimension, there are lost of people without magic. It was why there were so few fairies, witches and wizards compared to the amount of people in the Magical Dimension (that connected thousands of worlds). Everyone there knew about magic, even if they couldn't do it or had magic too weak to perform it, but on Earth magic was… Hidden? All this time?
She decided to see what's happening. She went to the pub's entrance and opened it. The interior was dark and shabby, with a bar and a number of tables in the shadows of the corners. There were people there, all using very different clothes than the people outside. She was sure Stella wouldn't like these people's style with clothing. No one seems to have noticed her at the door, eyeing the place. She decided to enter to not cause any problems for other people trying to enter or to leave and also to better see the place.
As Bloom kept looking around, she got the attention of man. "Excuse me, miss? Are you looking for anything?" Bloom looked around for the voice and saw an old man, completely bald. "I'm seeing you looking around. I've never see your face around here, and you're too old for a new student. Are you a tourist, perhaps?" The man seemed to be a bartender.
Bloom approached the man. Everyone in the place seemed to have magic… Adjacent, so she supposed it wouldn't be a problem if she questioned him. "Could you please tell me what place is this? I was visiting London and saw this pub that is completely enclosed by magic." It was a simplification of why she was there and how she got there, but it was good enough.
"Ah, so really a tourist, it seems. The accent and clothes make it obvious." The bartender said. "You're at the Leaky Cauldron, the connection between the Muggle World and Diagon Alley, the most famous alley for every need of wizards and witches in London." That got Bloom's attention.
Wizards? WITCHES?! Was the man saying to her that all the magic she was feeling around was Dark Magic?! Also… Muggle? What is this? Was muggle the name they use for non-magical world?
No matter, she needed to focus now. If the people there really used Dark Magic, then she would have to be incredible careful. She didn't know if they knew she was a fairy, but things could go bad if so. Bloom knew not all witches and wizards were bad, but meeting the Trix and Valtor made her careful. Should she back away? She was there to find Phoebus, not explore some old pub or alley. Whatever her decision was, she had to make it fast. She knew Phoebus was somewhere in Britain, but not where he was exactly. Ugh, why couldn't she have a little more of a direction to know where her brother was besides what she feels and what the Headmistress had said about feeling him he- Wait! That was it!
"Uh… Sir, would you have any information about an immense surge of magic a little over a year ago? I'm trying to find the reason behind it, but until now, no luck." She was lying, and she hoped the bartender wouldn't call her for that.
"Well..." He looked around, to guarantee no one was listening, and then got close to Bloom, whispering. "I heard it was caused during the final battle between Harry Potter and… Voldemort." He hesitated a little before saying the last name. "Some papers tried to make The Chosen One reveal what kind of magic was the one he used, but he refused to talk about it. Most presume it was a secret weapon he had for the battle, but I personally believe even he doesn't know what he did." He finished.
Before Bloom could start questioning what he meant, she saw him waving his hand, trying to inform her to keep her voice down. "What do you mean by The Chosen One? Was he in some kind of prophecy?" She asked, also whispering. Bloom didn't know who The Chosen One was, but he must be someone very important.
"Do you not know about Harry Potter?" The bartender asked, shocked.
"Sorry… He isn't well know from where I come from." This was true. She had never heard of the name, even if the man at her front ended up not understanding what she really meant.
"Huh, what you learn everyday. Anyway, it seems there was a prophecy that foretold about a boy with the power to defeat the Dark Lord approached. This prophecy was made almost 20 years ago, but it was less than a year that it was made public, as it was already concluded. Harry Potter was said boy and the Dark Lord was Voldemort." The bartender said again the last name with a sour look in his face.
"Okay… So, could you tell me where I can find him? If Harry Potter is the man I'm looking for, them any tip to find him would be appreciated." Bloom said, a little sheepish. She knew she was abusing from her luck to get information, but who could blame her? There was a possibility this Harry Potter was actually the person she was looking for.
The bartender started to eye her with a scrutinizing stare. For what reason, she had no idea. Maybe he thought she was trying to trick him? He did say this Harry Potter was pretty famous, so he might be thinking she was using him to find The Chosen One. Well, she was, but she had good reasons for it. "If you're trying to find him, then today is your lucky day. A few hours ago, he went to Diagon Alley. When I went to speak to him, he grumped about still trying to recuperate his friendship with the goblins because of what happened to Gringotts in 2005. The goblins seem to be way too prideful to considerate what he did as necessary for the survival of the Wizarding World." Honestly, Bloom wasn't really understanding what the bartender was talking about, but she didn't thought it was wise to ask so much about the events that happened here. "If you want to go to Diagon Alley, then follow me." He said, gesturing Bloom to follow.
When the two went to the backside of the establishment, Bloom couldn't hold the question anymore. "Why did you wanted to speak without anyone else knowing what where we talking about?"
"Well, since the defeat of the Dark Lord, Harry had asked me to make sure I wouldn't announce his name in the Leaky Cauldron, as people could start questioning if I knew where he was or also to guarantee he wouldn't be noticed while entering or leaving the pub. He tells me he doesn't like his fame for defeating Voldemort two times, so he tries to avoid getting attention of others." The bartender answered, again hesitating when saying the Dark Lord's name.
"Okay… One last question. I see you hesitating when saying Voldemort. Why's that?"
"Well, I, like most of Wizarding Britain, don't like to say the Dark Lord's name as name's have power, but Harry convinced me to not have fear of the name and speak of it openly, as he's doing the same for all of his friends now that said Dark Lord is dead." After telling that, they are finally at a small courtyard at the back of the Leaky Cauldron. There was a brick wall there, with a dustbin. The bartender went to the brick wall and tapped one of its bricks. After that, the bricks in the wall seemed to move themselves out of the way, giving origin to a passage.
"Wow. Of all the ways to enter this Diagon Ally, I was not expecting a moving wall. Things are really different from where I come from." Again, true. Magic is not hidden in the Magical Dimension, so hey don't need this type of things. She stepped to the other side of the wall, but stops when she remembered to ask something very important. She looked back to him. "Oh, by the way, can you tell me about Harry Potter's looks? I don't know his appearance."
It seems saying that was the right thing, as whatever suspicion the man had that she only wanted to see Harry Potter because he was famous seemed to be cleared with the fact she didn't even know his looks. "He has black, untidy hair, eyes as green as emeralds and, his most famous feature, a lighting bolt scar in his forehead." At that, the hole in the brick wall started to close itself again.
"Thanks, Mr., uh…" Crap, she didn't know his name.
The man smiles. "My name is Tom, miss." And the brick wall finally closed.
AN. 6: Firstly, remember I said in the ANs last chapter that the events in Harry Potter would be moved forward in time? If my knowledge is correct, Winx Club starts at 2004 (the year it was aired for the first time), so in order to make sense of things, I had to move the time in Harry Potter forward. The year Harry defeated Voldemort (1998) is now the year the Winx defeated Darkar (2005) and the movie The Secret of the Lost Kingdom happens at the second half of 2006, when Bloom is 18 years old, going to 19. Because of this, all events in Harry Potter are now 7 years after its official date.
AN. 7: This chapter ended a lot smaller than the first one. It makes sense, since a lot of the scenes in the last chapter came from the movie, while here I had to come up with all the scenes.
AN. 8: Sorry for not introducing more characters. I thought by this chapter we would already see the Golden Trio, but the scene in the Leaky Cauldron ended a lot bigger than I originally thought it would. I can at least ensure at least Harry will appear in the next chapter.
AN. 9: If there are words in the British English I didn't spell right, please inform me so I can fix it. The same goes for Tom. If there are any problems with is way of speech or his actions, please inform me.
AN. 10: Bloom may not be a witch, but she's a fairy, so she has magic. Because of this, all wards that protect the buildings from the Wizarding World from non-magicals don't work on her, as they define who can see the structures by the ability to use magic of the person.
AN. 11: Lastly, I want to inform you guys it will probably be another week or two until I post the next chapter. The plastic that glues the screen of my laptop to its main body is loose and any drastic movement can kill my laptop now. I'll have to send it to repair and I don't know how long until the problem is fixed. I'll still be online on during this time, but I'll only be reading other fanfictions and reading and answering to PMs.
Update 02/11/2021: I forgot to explain how Bloom could see the Leaky Cauldron in the ANs, so for everyone that may have not understood how, now you have an explanation.
