Amy heaves a sigh as she's brushing her hair, already dressed for school. She's sitting in front of the vanity in her bathroom, and she's pretty nervous. There's a dance tonight at school, her first one, and the one person she wanted to go with was Randy. But of course, he's too nervous to ask her himself, since he would, in Howard's words 'shoob it up.' She was tired of waiting, so she decided this morning that she was gonna ask him herself. Which is a pretty risky move for any teenage girl, especially for one who is also a Kunoichi in her other life. She doesn't think any Kunoichi has ever had romantic feelings for their partner before...
But then again, there were only hundreds of Kunoichis before they became nonexistent for almost 2 decades.
She takes a deep breath, tying her hair in a bun. She looks at herself in the mirror, pumping her fists.
"I can do this. I mean, I became class president my first month at Norrisville. I'm the Kunoichi! I kick and punch robots almost every single day! It shouldn't be this hard..."
Though, for someone like Randy, it might be. He's one of her best friends. Of course it was complicated from the start. And she would be risking their friendship and their partnership by doing this... She shakes her head, snapping out of it.
She will ask him!
The bell rings, with everyone in school watching Heidi's show. "S'up, carp?" She sniffs the air with a smile on her face. "The smell in the air. It's romance. Tonight's the 'Magical Night Under the Stars Dance'. So this is your last chance to find a date."
Randy gasps sharply, holding his head. "Howard, we have to get dates!" They both blink before erupting into laughter.
"Dates. Dates are for dudes who don't have bros to play vids with. Although, I think you're an exception, Cunningham."
He just blinks at his friend, confused on what he's talking about. "You know...Smith?"
"Oh! Oh," Randy looks away sadly, and Howard stares at him.
"What do you mean, oh? Haven't you liked her for months now?"
"Yeah, but she never really seems like she's interested," Randy frowns a little. "I mean, it's been so obvious, and she just always treats me like a friend." Not that he doesn't like her anymore, he's just losing a little faith that their feelings will ever be known to each other. "She's just been so focused on school and being my partner. And she did say that she liked someone before I found out she was the Kunoichi."
"She's a girl. Of course she's gonna be private about it," Howard rolls his eyes. "It's been a week since the announcement of the dance, and you still haven't made a move."
"Howard, she's our best friend," Randy tells him. "It's gonna change everything! Of course I wanna ask her, but then I think: What if she doesn't like me back and then our friendship becomes at risk? And if she says no, what if she stops being the Kunoichi because of me?! I don't wanna be another person that makes the Kunoichi non-existent for another 2 decades!"
"Try this: Amy, do you wanna go to the dance with me?" Howard smirks in amusement. Randy elbows him slightly.
"See, this is why you don't have my problems," He deadpans at his friend. Amy approaches them, slightly fidgeting, but reminds herself to just get it over with. Like ripping off a bandaid.
"H-Hi Ran," She waves at him, cringing as she realizes she stuttered. "Um, how are you?"
"I'm fine," He smiles at her. "What'd you need, Ames?"
"Um...w-well, I kinda wanted to ask you...well, that is, if you wanted to, you can just say no! If y-you would...um..."
"Ames?" He asks in confusion, tilting his head at her. "Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah! Err..." She wants to ask him, but suddenly it's like she's lost her train of thought. Just...his smile, his hair, is distracting her from getting it out. She's about to try again when the doors open, letting in gold light. Everyone turns to look at a girl with knee-length dark blue hair, blue eyes, and is wearing a Japanese-style uniform.
All the boys gape at her as she flips her hair. One boy is even drooling and Amy glances at Randy, frowning as he's focused his eyes on Amanda.
"Ran?" She slightly shakes him. "Ran? Randy!"
"Huh? What? Oh, that's great, Amy..." He ignores her as the girl walks past them.
"Hi. I'm Amanda Levay." She stops in front of a door. "This is my homeroom, so, see ya." She walks inside the room, a pink heart hitting the boys.
"You hear that?" Randy and Howard are both smiling.
"She said..."
"See ya," They murmur in unison.
"Um, R-Ran?" Amy stammers nervously, trying to get his attention again. "I just wanted to ask you if-"
Howard peeks at Randy and pushes him onto the ground. "I'm so asking her to the dance," The obese boy runs off, causing Randy to growl.
"Bye Amy, I gotta go ask her to the dance!" He runs after Howard, tackling him onto the floor. Amy gives a dejected look.
But I wanted to ask him first...
"Get in line," Randy tells his friend as they fall in front of the classroom. Amy steps over them, going over to take her seat.
"Wow. There actually is a line," Randy looks up at the line of boys at Amanda's desk.
"You're like, good-looking and stuff," Bash gives her a flirty look.
"Prefer a man with a dark side?" Julian grins, giggling at her.
"Hate to zing my own praises, but if you're into laughs, I'm your fella," Bucky jerks a thumb to himself.
"Oh, I would love to go to the dance with each of you, but I'm looking for the boy...no, man, who understands true beauty." She flutters her eyes at them, and a heart flies into the boys, causing them to shiver.
Howard stands in front of her. "I understand true beauty," He gives her a smirk. "I understand I'm looking right at it," He wiggles his eyebrows.
Randy roughly leans onto his back, earning glares from all the boys. "That's exactly the kind of cheesy line you'll never hear if you go out with me."
Amy sighs wearily, a fist to her cheek.
"Mmm, if I could only go with all of you," Amanda stands up, walking past them. "Alas, my heart belongs only to whomever shows me the one thing in this school that is truly beautiful." She touches Howard and Randy's chins, their eyes turning white from the hearts.
All of the boys in class swoon, all of their eyes turning white. "Beautiful..."
They snap out of it, taking one look before they make a break for the door. Obviously, they want to find exactly what Amanda is looking for.
"Hey, watch it!" They shove each other to get to the exit and Amy rolls her eyes.
Mr. Bannister slides to a stop in front of them. "Freeze it, you mopes." The boys slide to a stop in front of them. "No one goes anywhere without a hall pass. And I hate writing hall passes! Lucky for you, the missus got me a McPass-Master hall pass printer. Push the button, get a pass."
Bash catches the first one and one by one, the boys get a pass to go into the halls. Randy and Howard, dazed from being knocked onto the floor, stand up. Randy presses the button, but doesn't get a pass. He tries again, but still nothing.
"Uh, Mr. Bannister? Your McPass-Master seems to have, uh...passed us over."
Amy rubs a temple, opening up her notebook. "McPass-Master has spoken. GO SIT DOWN!"
At least there was one advantage...
They turn to look at Amanda, who blows a kiss at them. The boys go to take their seats, staring at her. Amanda turns to Amy behind her.
"Excuse me, Amelia, right?"
The brunette blinks, looking up at her from her notebook. "Um...yeah, but all the students just call me Amy. How'd you know my name?"
"I've heard a lot about you," She smiles a bit. "You're the reason why the dance has a stars theme."
"Well..." She rubs her neck. "I just...like constellations!" Being the class president, she was allowed to choose the theme of the dance this year.
Amanda hums slightly, glancing at Randy. "That boy with the purple hair...is he your friend?"
"Best friend," Amy smiles weakly, looking over her shoulder. "I've known him since my first day here."
"Then stop hesitating."
The brunette whips around to Amanda, blinking at her in shock. "I'm sorry?"
"Either ask him to the dance or don't. Not that he'd want to go with..." She looks at Amy up and down, taking in her appearance. "Someone of your...looks."
She turns around and Amy glares at the back of her head. Then she wilts, looking at her notebook, which has doodles of Randy and the Ninja in it. In some way...she was right. She did hesitate to ask Randy, and it seems that he likes Amanda for her looks...he's never even looked at her that way. She wished she had the confidence and appearance like Amanda does to ask Randy to the dance...
Something wasn't right about Amanda...and not just because of what she said.
One of Amanda's hearts goes into the Sorcerer's lair. He sniffs it and smiles in realization. "Ahh...dead flowers, putrefied flesh, and uh...lavender. It's her!"
Norrisville 1209
Lightning struck as the Sorcerer caused chaos in the village. Everyone ran away out of fear. "It's the Sorcerer!" The villager got hit with flying stank, turned into a monster. The Sorcerer laughed at several other monsters he already transformed.
"Yes! For eternity, you shall..."
"Suffer!" A pink beam hit the same villager as him. He looked up to see someone with long dark blue messy hair, in a pink robe with pink orbs similar to his. She laughed evilly and he held up a swirl of stank in his hand.
"You dare interfere?"
She hit him with a pink beam, knocking him to the sand. "You like to play rough, do you?"
She responded with a laugh, and their powers clashed. They combined and hit several people.
"Separately, we were powerful. Together, we were nearly invincible. Until..."
A Ninja and Kunoichi ran up to them. They jumped in between some monsters, kicking them away. The two attacked, and they jumped past the lasers. They leaped in the air above the evil duo, landing in between them back-to-back. She faced the Sorcerer while he faced the female counterpart. They both fired at the same time, but they jumped, and the two clashed, creating a portal. The Ninja landed behind her and kicked her into the portal. It closed, and then she was gone.
"Ah! What have you done?" The Sorcerer demanded them, only to be kicked in the face.
"Ninja and Kunoichi banished her to the Land of Shadows," He explains to the rat, who is eating popcorn with tissues nearby. "The Sorceress has one weakness. She cannot see true beauty. By sealing me in this tomb, with the Eye of Eternities, the Ninja thought she'd never find me. And yet, she is near," He circles stank to make an image of the Sorceress. "She and the Kunoichi have had a rivalry since that day...and each day, she swore that she would triumph!"
"Psst! Hey Smith," Howard whispers to her as she's doodling again. "You're a girl, right?"
Her pencil snaps at the question and she looks at her pencil with no lead. She drops it out of annoyance. "Yes Howard, I was literally born a female."
"How would I get Amanda to go with me to the dance?"
"Uh, he means me," Randy pushes past him. Howard glares and shoves him, and then they get into a shoving match.
"Ahem," Amy clears her throat, getting their attention. She flips pages from her notebook. "Look, every girl looks at attractiveness differently, and Amanda is clearly looking for something...unique. Why don't you just find something that stands out from everyone else?"
"Like what?!" Howard exclaims in disbelief and she shrugs.
"I'm not really sure, but I don't think she'll find it with what these guys have."
"Thanks anyway, Amy," Randy smiles a bit and they continue to stare at Amanda. Amy gives a sad look, drawing a heart around Doodle Randy. She'd try asking him to the dance again, but she'd just get all flustered while he's paying attention to Amanda. Clearly she's more beautiful than anyone else he's seen before...maybe her looks just aren't enough for him to say yes...
Amanda sniffs a trophy. "This is...not truly beautiful." Bucky walks away in disappointment.
A ham lands on her desk, to her surprise. "It's a ham. Real beaut, too," He leans on it. She sniffs the meat as well before shaking her head.
"Man, I thought Bash had it for sure," Howard comments as they watch Bash leave with the ham. "That ham was a stunner."
"Someone's gonna find the most beautiful thing in the school. It's only a matter of time," Randy panics a little.
"Nyctimene robinsoni," Julian is holding a bat made from a crusty yellow substance. "The tube-nosed bat. Sculpted from ear wax."
Amy gags out loud, looking away. That is the most disgusting thing she's ever heard...and she hangs around two boys already!
Randy paces around next to Howard. "If we're gonna get out of this classroom, we need to work together. But once we're on the other side of that door, we go our separate ways."
"Deal," Howard declares as they look at each other competitively. "You ready?"
"Uh, you know it!"
Howard holds up a ketchup packet. "Here we go, bloody nose, concerned friend, and action!"
The obese boy fake sobs as Randy escorts him to the teacher. "It's okay, you're gonna make it. It's way better than it looks."
Amy places a hand on her cheek, raising a brow at them. "Halt!" Mr. Bannister blocks their way. "You may not leave this room without McPass-Master's permission!"
"No time, Mr. B! We got a gusher here!" The two boys run past him and he growls, clenching his fists.
The two boys share a signature handshake, gritting their teeth at each other. "Good luck to you," Randy replies sarcastically.
"Oh no," Howard chuckles at him. "You good luck to you."
They separate and run off in opposite directions. Randy opens and closes lockers while Howard pushes away books in the library, startling two girls. Randy looks in the boys' bathroom, only to be punched out of a stall. Howard jumps onto a boy's backpack, searching through it. Randy pops out of the snack bar while Howard digs through the trash.
They both skid to a stop at the lobby. "Ha! You're never gonna find it!" Howard brags to the taller boy.
"Oh ho ho ho, I'm gonna find it," Randy brags to him. "I'm gonna find it hard, and when I do it's gonna be insane!"
They both open lockers to search. "Why are you going through with this? What about Smith?"
"We've already had this conversation," Randy glances at him. "Our friendship and us being the Ninjas are some of the most important things to me, and...well, she and I...I don't think she'll really see me the way I do. And I think she would want to stay focused on being the Kunoichi than for us to really have something." He gives a melancholy look and even Howard feels bad. And he knows that Randy is right: Amy has always insisted on putting her job as Kunoichi first...
With each open locker the Nomicon flashes from Randy's hoodie, to his ire. "Your Nomicon's ringing," Howard teases, frustrating Randy. "I think you have to take that."
"Ugh, I have to take that," Randy complains, taking out his Ninja Nomicon.
"Have fun not finding the most beautiful thing in school," Howard replies cockily, walking past him. "Which is what I'll be doing while you're in the..." He turns around to see that Randy is no longer standing there. "Nomicon."
Randy lands in a doodle lake on his back, right next to Amy, who had her arms crossed. No doubt he was spending his time finding the most beautiful thing in school for Amanda. The girl couldn't help that she's so beautiful, but Amy just wished that Randy would rather do anything else. Amanda's 'advice' is still being reminded to her, and she frowns.
"You okay?" He stares at the girl.
"Just peachy," She growls slightly, her leggings getting soaked by being in the water.
A figure passes through them from underneath, causing both of them to yelp. A large woman in a kimono is looming over them, and the advice appears on her forehead.
"The eyes can be deceived but the nose always knows. Cute, Ninja Nomicon. I mean, not helpful, but cute."
"What...does it mean?" Amy tilts her head in confusion.
"I gotta get back to finding the most beautiful thing so that Amanda can date me."
The brunette sags sadly at the mention of the girl, looking at herself. Amanda's all beautiful, but she's plain looking...she couldn't help but wonder what Amanda's deal is. The woman in the kimono inhales, sucking them out.
Randy falls out of the locker, his Nomicon landing on his lap. "Didn't find it," He glances at the upset Howard next to him. "Did you?"
"No. What'd your dumb book say?" Howard replies grumpily.
"It said the nose always knows," Randy stands up, tucking the book in his hoodie.
"Great. Now we know even less," Howard retorts as he follows Randy.
"It also said the eyes deceives," He stands on top of the mural. "An eye is part of a face, so is a nose, and ears."
"Did the Nomicon say anything about ears?" Howard asks him, clearly annoyed.
"No! So we need something that has eyes and a nose, but no ears."
Lightbulbs go off as he looks at the carp mosaic, but mostly the eye. "The Carp's Eye! Above its nose and no ears." He crouches down to look at it. "It's the most beautiful thing in the school."
"It is also full of ancient bird and dragon demons that possessed me and practically ate Smith, remember?!" Howard exclaims at him, not as pleased as Randy.
"Yes but..." Randy clasps his hands, hearts in his eyes. "Amanda..." He throws his arms in the air in excitement. "We found it, Howard!"
"You mean I found it, Cunningham," Howard jerks a thumb to himself.
"You wouldn't dare!" Randy gasps at him, but is only earned with a smirk before Howard runs off.
"I gotta show you something."
"Hey, Amanda!"
Amy is walking down the hall back to class, having used the bathroom, when Randy and Howard come in. "Amy!" Randy smiles as they run around her, and she spins around like a maypole.
"Whoa, hey, where's the fire?" She exclaims, adjusting herself and holding her dizzy head.
"Your advice was the cheese!" Howard grins up at her. They suddenly kiss one cheek each in unison out of gratefulness and they run off, to her surprise.
"What the juice just happened?" She twitches an eye, a little weirded out from Howard, but at the same time swooning from Randy.
The door gets kicked open by Randy, and Mr. Bannister gets stuck in the wall. "Hey, Amanda!" Randy trips onto the ground and Howard jumps over him. They grab one arm from Amanda each, pulling her towards the door.
"Hey, what's going on?" She asks in confusion.
Mr. Bannister moves away from the wall and gets in their way before they can leave. "No." The three skid to a stop as Amy peeks into the classroom. "You are not leaving this classroom under any circumstances."
Randy presses the button from the McPass-Master, and gets two passes. He catches them in his mouth, holding them up smugly.
"McPass-Master has spoken," He pulls Amanda out of the classroom and Amy runs down the hall.
"I still have my pass, left something in the ladies' room!" She calls out to the teacher. Howard gets his own pass, throwing the device into Mr. Bannister's hands as he follows after the three. He growls at the McPass-Master and throws it out the window!
Amy has followed the three to the lobby, peeking through the door.
"Well?" Randy asks Amanda as she sniffs the Eye of Eternities.
"What?!" Amy whispers in disbelief. Don't they know how dangerous that thing is?
Amanda chuckles to herself as she sits up. "And to think it was under my nose all this time."
"I know, right?" Randy questions with a smile. "You see, Amanda, the eye can be deceived, but the nose always knows." He pokes his nose. "That's how I found it."
"Ugh," Amy pinches her nose. Did he really just use the Nomicon's advice to score brownie points with Amanda?
"I found it," Howard argues, even though he really didn't.
"But really, I found it," Randy corrects, looking at Amanda with a lovestruck smile. "Let's talk dance."
She grabs his face and kisses his cheek, to Amy's horror. She covers her mouth in shock, disappointed with not only herself, but the fact that Randy is totally falling for her! Amanda then kisses Howard's cheek and he jumps, landing in Randy's arms. Both of them are completely dazed, their eyes both white.
"Boys," Amanda starts off.
"Mmhmm/Yes?"
"LEAVE ME!" Her eyes change to purple, her hair flowing around. Amy recoils back in alarm at her appearance.
"Okay..." The boys both leave and Amy sits up, narrowing her eyes.
"I knew there was something off about her! And not because I was jealous," She huffs, crossing her arms. She takes out her mask.
Amanda summons pink and blue stank, her eyes turning purple again. "To once more do horrible, terrible things together." She directs it to the Eye of Eternities, her light shining from the top of the Sorcerer's lair.
"Ahh. Such sweet misery." He directs green stank to counteract hers.
"Smoke bomb!" Kunoichi appears in front of her. "Stop right there," She narrows her eyes.
"Ah, a Kunoichi. It's been so long since I've battled one," Amanda grins, blasting her powers at the girl. She flips around to avoid them.
Randy and Howard snap out of it in the hall, shouting as Howard jumps out of his arms. They look away awkwardly, deciding to never mention this again.
"Hey, Amanda never told us who's taking her to the dance," Randy states, earning a glare from his rival. "I should probably go back and ask her." He races down the hall and Howard chases after him. He grabs Randy's leg, knocking him to the floor.
"Hoo-hoo, no, you don't. I'll go ask her."
They race back into the entrance, screeching to a stop at what they're seeing. "What the juice?!" Randy exclaims as Kunoichi jumps into the air. Amanda fires her powers at the girl, but she pulls out her fans, spinning towards the ground. She continues spinning, holding her fans to deflect all the shots. Amanda notices the two boys and growls, finally changing her appearance into the Sorceress. She blasts the three with her eyes, sending them into some lockers in the hall.
Kunoichi shakes her head as she looks up in shock.
"She's all yours, Cunningham," Howard tells his friend, who stands up. "Hey wait...how are you here?" He gives Kunoichi an accusing look.
"I, uh, saw her on my way back from the bathroom," She bites her lip, hoping that he'll drop the matter.
"Hmm," Howard just stares at her quizzically.
"You okay, Kuno?" Randy bends down to her. She silently rolls her eyes to herself. Sure, now he pays attention to her...
"I'm fine...but I think you guys made a big mistake bringing her to the Eye," She stares at Amanda.
"No kidding. But just so you know, it was his idea," Howard points to Randy, who sends him an annoyed look.
"Uh, Amanda, or scary skull lady, or whoever you are," Randy pulls out his mask from his hoodie. "It. Is. On!"
"Smoke bomb!" The two jump out from the railing, sais in his hand while she's holding her bo staff. She looks up at the two and knocks them back with another blast. They hit the ledge before landing, with Kunoichi landing on his back. Then the ledge pieces fall on them.
"Ah, Ninja and Kunoichi," The Sorceress approaches them. "I've waited centuries for this! Even if attempting to steal your Nomicon was a fail."
"What?!" Kunoichi exclaims in disbelief. The only one who tried to steal it was...
Purple stank reached Theresa while she was in the bathroom, allowing the Sorceress to take control of her. Then she used Theresa to steal the Kunoichi Nomicon from Amy, which failed. After the purple stank left Theresa she was a little groggy, able to remember bits and pieces of what happened.
"So that wasn't really Theresa, that was you!" Kunoichi accuses the Sorceress.
"Guilty."
"Well you waited centuries to get your butt kicked!" Ninja replies, wrapping his scarf around her. He spins her around into the air and they jump up together.
"Double Butt Kick!" They announce in unison, kicking her together. They send her tumbling onto the floor. He leaps into the air and is about to punch her when she turns back into Amanda with shimmering eyes. He stops himself from hitting her.
"Ninja~" She reaches out and scratches him underneath his chin. Kunoichi growls at this, clenching her fists in annoyance.
"Just punch her!" His partner calls out, and she notices that Amanda's arm is flashing from normal to her regular green arm. Because of her love spell like the ones she's been doing all day, Ninja is too enchanted to really notice it.
"Amanda..."
She transforms back into the Sorceress. "Not Amanda!"
She sends out a large blast that sends him flying, landing right in front of Kunoichi. He looks up to see her crossing her arms, not amused with him.
"What? Have you seen her?" Ninja glances over his shoulder. "Well, the hot version, anyway."
"Rrr," She seethes at him and the Sorceress, who emits another blast that causes pieces of the ceiling to fall on them.
"Well, well. You can resist the Sorceress, but..." Ninja and Kunoichi get onto their feet, feeling dizzy. Then the Sorceress turns back into Amanda. "Amanda wants you to stand perfectly still."
He once again falls into her spell. "Amanda~"
Kunoichi is shaking, but out of sadness as she tries not to cry.
She reaches out to him, caressing his face. "Can you do that for me, sweetie?"
"Uh-huh," Ninja nods slowly at her.
Amanda turns around to face the Eye. "Curse you for making me hold this repulsive form."
"It's so not repulsive," Ninja states, causing Kunoichi to grunt.
"You're only slowing down my reunion with...the Sorcerer!" She sends more of her magic into the ground.
"Wait, the Sorcerer?!" They both exclaim in unison. "The Sorcerer's down there?"
"That's where he's been hiding all this time to stank students!" Kunoichi narrows her eyes, clenching a fist.
"Ninja Sp-" He launches forward, but her spell knocks him out yet again.
"This is insane," Kunoichi throws her scarf forward, but the Sorceress blasts it with her magic. Her eyes widen at the scorched tail ends of the scarf, glaring. She runs forward, but the Sorceress sends out another blast. Kunoichi jumps over her in a large gap, sliding to a stop on the other side.
Meanwhile, Ninja is trying to snap himself out of it. "Eyes deceived. Can't use eyes," He squeezes his eyes shut. He then puts his scarf over his eyes. "But the nose knows. Ninja Smell-O-Vision!"
He takes a huge whiff, putting his hands over his nose. "Wow. Anyone tell you that you smell bad? Like really bad."
Kunoichi sniffs the air and cringes at the disgusting smell. "Ugh, gross."
Ninja kicks a rock at Amanda, and she counteracts with blasts directed at the both of them. "Ninja Duck, Ninja Flip." The ledge breaks into pieces above him.
"Ninj, look out!" Kunoichi calls out to him.
He sniffs the air again. "Ninja Slide, Ninja Slide," He avoids all of the piles. "Yeah, baby!" Then one of them hits him right on the head. "Ah, come on!"
Amanda laughs, about to send another blast when Kunoichi tackles her to the ground. Both of them engage in a cat fight, Ninja blinking at them.
"Whoa. Wasn't expecting that."
Kunoichi throws her into a row of lockers, and then tosses her sais, trapping Amanda's wrists into the lockers.
"I can't wait to do this," Kunoichi steps up as they're about to punch her in the face-
"Boys! Boys, I need help," Amanda cries out innocently.
"Boys?" They turn around, Ninja sniffing the air. Suddenly, an army of boys from their class burst in, including Howard.
"We're here, my love!" Howard declares and Kunoichi just couldn't help but feel weird hearing that.
"Get the Ninja and Kunoichi!"
"Save Amanda."
"Howard, Bash?" Ninja asks, but they're affected by her spell.
"It's no use. They can't block themselves from being immune to the love spell," Kunoichi states, glancing at him. Then Bucky for some reason lets out a fart. "Eww!"
"Bucky? Okay, guys, I know Amanda's hot." Kunoichi seethes at him. "Super hot, but she's not-"
They charge anyway and Amanda hits them from behind with a blast from her eyes. She sets herself free, watching as the two Ninjas get tackled by all the boys. Amanda flies past them and returns to the Eye of Eternities, blasting it once more.
The Eye starts to crack with both of their powers combined. "Yes!"
Ninja manages to get the end of his scarf, getting himself and Kunoichi out of the pile. She lands nearby while he lands next to Amanda.
"Ninja Taste Of Her Own Medicine," He wraps his arms around her. "Oh fellas!" He kisses Amanda's cheek repeatedly, to her own disgust. Kunoichi just freezes, wondering just what is he doing. Then she realizes his plan as the boys grow angry.
She just wished she didn't have to see...that.
"The Ninja's moving in on our girl," Bash grits his teeth.
"Get him!" Howard points at the two and they charge at the duo.
"No! Get back, you animals!"
Ninja jumps out of the way as the boys tackle just Amanda. They crash into the lockers, but because of her magic, she damages the lobby and the ceiling. One hits the ledge, which is above the boys. However, they can't move on their own due to being unconscious.
"Ninja Flip!" Ninja flips over the magic and slides to a stop, grabbing half of them. Kunoichi spins her hair around and throws it, grabbing the other half in her hair. They get the boys away just in time as the pieces from the ledge fall to the screaming Amanda.
Her magic gets cut off from the Sorcerer's lair.
"Noooooo!" He shouts, glaring as he knows who was behind it.
"You guys okay?" Ninja approaches the boys who are waking up.
"Amanda," Julian yells, trying to hit Ninja, but he's not even that strong enough... "You can't have Amanda!"
Kunoichi and Ninja glance to each other at his display. "Trust me, I don't want her," Ninja jerks a thumb to the Sorceress. She hisses at all of them, and they all flinch back in fright.
"Whoa. She ain't pretty! She's ugly!" Everyone except Howard makes a break for it.
They get into position, facing the Sorceress. "Okay, Sorceress. Time to finish this!"
"Soon, Ninja and Kunoichi," She warns them. "The fight has only begun. And soon, I will have my revenge against you, Kunoichi," And with a spin of her magic, she disappears, leaving behind her nasty smell. They all sniff it and recoil back in disgust.
"Smells like baloney and dead fish," Howard pinches his nose.
"The nose did not need to know that," Ninja tries not to throw up.
"Well, at least she won't be making trouble at the school anymore since she can't get the boys on her side," Kunoichi dusts herself off. Ninja tries to hold out his hand for a fist bump, but takes it back awkwardly. The air is suddenly tense and uncomfortable as they just stand there. "I'm...just gonna go..."
"Yeah, um, see ya," Ninja states as they watch her smoke bomb away. He facepalms once she's gone. "Oh, I can't believe I was gonna give up on my crush on Ames. I should've just waited to see what she wanted to say instead of paying attention to Amanda, ugh."
"Yep, you shoobed this one pretty hard, bro," Howard crosses his arms.
Amy sighs as Heidi is doing her hair for the dance. "I don't understand why you wanted to go with Mandy," She raises a brow at the girl. "I mean, just like all the other idiot boys, they were focused on Amanda," The older girl rolls her eyes.
"It's, uh...well," Amy looks towards the ground shyly. "Randy is a person...who never gives up. He always makes me feel safe when I'm with him. And even though I'll admit that sometimes he can be an idiot..." An annoyed look hits her face when she says the last word. "He's a loyal guy..."
"If you say so, biffer...I almost thought you weren't gonna go."
"Yeah, I will say that I didn't want to anymore," Amy closes her eyes. "But it's my first dance, and who knows? It might do me some good for me to go out. It's not like I have anything to do at home."
Heidi touches up her hair with a smile. "That's the spirit! You need my dad to drive you?"
"No, I'll just walk there. Thanks Heidi," Amy looks at herself in the mirror, taking a deep breath. Heidi leaves the room. She doesn't really need that much attention on her since she doesn't think she looks that beautiful...but she does feel good about herself.
It's now nighttime, the dance seemingly going well. "Thanks to the Ninja and Kunoichi, tonight's dance really is under the stars," Heidi gestures to the roof, dancing to the music. Howard and Randy are sitting on rubble, watching the dance floor.
"Cunningham, we can never let a girl come between us again. Deal?"
Randy nods in agreement, patting his chest. "Deal," He holds out his fist and they do their handshake. "Wait, what about Ames?"
"Ah, she's not that type of girl to do that to us on purpose," Howard waves it off. "Not to mention, I don't wanna get into that drama you guys have. I can't handle that."
"Drama? What drama?" Randy asks accusingly.
"You know, the awkward moments, the jealousy over Jacques thing, and now her getting jealous over Amanda."
Randy just grunts, looking away. "...Wait, she was jealous?" He gasps a little as that might be an indicator that she really does have feelings for him!
"Where is Smith, anyway?" Howard glances around and Randy senses something, as if someone has just arrived. He looks at the entrance.
Standing right there is Amy. Her dress is an off the shoulder dress with sparkly silver as the top, long sleeves going to her wrists, and pink for the tulle skirt that stops at her knees. There's purple beading over her chest that goes from there to her right hip. Her shoes are silver ankle boots with a slight heel to them. Amy's hair is half pinned back, the other half cascading down her back in waves. It's accessorized with a pink headband over her head. She has peach lipstick over her mouth and pink eyeshadow on. And finally, her glasses are off, in favor of contacts.
"Whoa," Randy blinks at the girl, watching her slowly step inside. She takes a look around at the decorations, this being her first dance and all. Amy goes right over to the punch bowl. He's about to walk over to her when Theresa stands in front of them.
"Hey. Wanna dance?"
"No thanks, Theresa. I have to go talk to someone," He maneuvers around her to reach Amy, who is now sitting on a piece of rubble, holding her drink. Theresa just smiles weakly in understanding.
"Now that he's gone, I'd love to dance," Howard offers her.
"Forget it," Theresa waves a hand, walking off.
Amy is just looking into her cup when Randy clears his throat. She looks up at him, his hands in his pockets.
"Ah, h-hey, Ames..."
"Hi Ran..." She murmurs and he gestures to the spot next to her.
"Is this seat taken?"
"No," Amy shakes her head and he sits down. She puts down her cup near her feet. "I can't believe it was the Sorceress trying to split us up when she stole my book..."
"At least it wasn't really Theresa," Randy offers to the girl, who nods in agreement.
"Yeah, that would've been kind of awkward..."
"So...how's your first dance?" He smiles nervously at her.
"It's alright. Not exactly what I pictured," She chuckles a bit, pointing up to the ceiling.
"Listen, I'm sorry that I cut you off when I saw Amanda," Randy turns to frown at her. "That was a shoob move, and I shouldn't have done it. I can't believe I acted like such a wonk."
"I believe it," Amy rolls her eyes. "I mean, how could you not fall for her? She's all pretty and irresistible to you, and ugh," A deadpan look hits her face.
"Amanda may be all those things...but she's not you," His eyes soften.
Her eyes widen at his confession, turning to look at him. "What?"
"Compared to you, Amanda is nothing to me," Randy shakes his head, looking at his clammy hands. "She never will be. How could I be so stupid? You're smart, you always have my back, you're responsible, kind, just...amazed by all these things about our town. You're way prettier than Aman-" He puts his hands over his mouth, and she blushes with a smile.
"Thanks..."
"...You're gonna be okay, right?" He asks cautiously. "I mean, she swore that she'd come back for you, Ames."
"Pfft. If anything, I'm not worried with the way she smells," Both of them chuckle and she rubs her arm awkwardly. "Um, Ran? About what I wanted to ask you this morning..."
He rubs the back of his neck. "I guess now is a good time as any...what was it?"
"...Well...this might seem pretty out there," She fiddles with her thumbs. "But...I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to the dance with me."
His eyes go wide this time. "W-Wait, you were gonna ask me?"
"Yes, but...I just couldn't bring myself to finish my question, and by then, it was too late," Her eyes sadden as she droops slightly. "And then Amanda told me to stop hesitating, and I just got so upset that you wanted to ask her when I approached you first that...I didn't try again out of fear of you saying no."
"I knew it!" Howard, who was spying on them, pumps a fist. "Hensletter owes me a fiver!"
"I can't believe it!" Randy holds his head in shock. "I-I mean, I wanted to ask you too, but I wasn't sure if you were interested-"
"I was!" She interrupts with a laugh and he laughs too. "But I'm a girl, I don't tell you everything."
"That's a good point," He agrees, both of them smiling. "Um." He rubs his arm, smiling softly. "Ames?"
"Yeah?"
"You know, you're fine just the way you are," Randy tells her gently. "You don't need to change for anyone, especially me."
She grins at him and then he stands up. Howard gasps at the two. He holds out his hand to her. "Would you...like to dance with me?" Hearing her say that she wanted to ask him suddenly gave him the confidence to ask her. She smiles softly at him.
"Yes..." She slowly grabs his hand and they get onto the dance floor, dancing together with smiles on their faces.
The Sorceress is now in a cave down below. "800 years has done nothing to diminish your strength, Ninja. So I must regain mine. And it will be entertaining to tangle with a new Kunoichi..." She laughs evilly.
