Two hours later, Krillin called up Goku with the Kame House phone.
"Hey, Krillin!", happily greeted the Saiyan, "How's it going?"
The monk replied, "I'm doing good. Look, I was wondering: do you have the time today to head over to New Namek for a bit?"
"Sure! Why do you ask?"
"Well, it concerns Mafin and Begu. See, a few years ago, Frieza came over to Begu's homeworld, and-"
"He destroyed the planet, taking out everyone on it, including each of the boys' parents."
Krillin's jaw dropped, completely shocked by Goku's response. "Wait, what?! H-How do you know that?!"
"I remember the duo telling me about it months ago. It was some time after our long search for 21's origins."
"Wait, if you knew, then why didn't you go out and find the Namekian Dragon Balls?!"
"I kinda had a feeling that the boys weren't ready to face their parents again, so I didn't bother. Sorry!"
Goku let out an awkward laugh afterwards.
Krillin then asked, "So, do you get what I'm trying to say?"
"Yeah. I can head over right now if you want."
"Great! And I'll go tell the boys about the good news!"
"Right! I'll see you in a bit!"
Krillin heard a teleporting noise on the other end of the line, and he hung up.
The monk overheard footsteps, and turned around to see Master Roshi coming downstairs.
The old Turtle Hermit asked, "Was that Goku?"
Krillin replied, "Yeah. He's heading over to New Namek right now to summon Porunga. Octoria's coming back today."
Roshi's eyes widened in shock, making his sunglasses drop a bit, "O-Octoria?! Does that mean-?!"
Krillin nodded, a smile on his face, "Both of the duo's parents are coming back."
Roshi exclaimed, "Awesome! Those boys are gonna be happy as hell, that's for sure!"
"What do you mean, 'happy as heck' ?", asked a certain Pesutorian.
Krillin and Roshi turned to see the duo sit up from their respective beds.
Krillin chuckled knowingly, "You boys are in for a treat today. And it involves a certain kind-hearted Saiyan of ours..."
Mafin and Begu gasped in unison, "IT'S TODAY?!"
Krillin grinned, "Yep!"
He was suddenly tackled in a massive hug by both of his pupils.
"THANK YOU, MASTER!", the duo shouted.
Krillin smiled, "No problem, my students."
The duo got off of their teacher, and they each pulled him back up to his feet.
Begu excitedly asked Mafin, "So dude, do you wanna go visit our parents after Goku comes back?"
Mafin happily nodded, "Yeah! And we could have either him or Kappukeki teleport us there!"
"Awesome! Now what do you wanna tell your parents first?"
"I was thinking about telling them how much we've-"
"Um, guys?", interrupted Krillin.
The duo turned around and asked, "Yes?"
Krillin awkwardly rubbed his arm. He really didn't know how to put this lightly.
The monk said, "I...think you two should wait."
Mafin and Begu exclaimed, "W-WHAT?!"
Krillin explained, "I know you guys want to reunite with your parents, but you have to remember that is the first time they've ever experienced being brought back to life. You might want to give them some time to process...well, being alive again."
Mafin and Begu glared at the ground. They both knew that this was the right way of handling the new situation...but they just wanted to see their loved ones' faces again, so, so badly.
Krillin, sensing the duo's collective frustration, reasoned, "How about, wait a year, at least? Is that fair?"
The duo thought about this for several seconds. They looked at one another, and nodded in affirmation.
Mafin said, "I think it's fair."
Begu added, "I agree with this."
Krillin let out a deep sigh in response.
At that moment, the group heard a teleportation noise coming from outside.
Roshi spoke up, "Looks like he's back already."
Krillin walked over to the door, and opened it.
Goku happily waved, "Yo!"
Krillin questioned, "Did you care of everything?"
The Saiyan nodded, "Yep! Octoria's officially revived!"
Krillin chuckled, "Sweet!"
Just then, Goku noticed Kappukeki resting on the sand nearby.
"Hey, Krillin, is she alright?", asked the Saiyan.
The monk replied, "Kappukeki's fine. She's just resting out here, for some reason."
"Huh. Well, okay."
Switching his attention back to Krillin, Goku asked, "Need me to do anything else?"
The monk smiled, "No, I think we're good here."
Goku happily said, "Alright! Better head back home, then! See ya, Krillin!"
With that, the Saiyan teleported away.
Krillin then looked up at the sky. Deep down, he hoped that everyone on Octoria would do well, readjusting to life.
