Sitting at me laptop waiting for inspiration to strike whilst simultaneously hoping that my children stay as asleep and I am not needed to either rock or woo them back to sleep.

In a little secret meadow, surrounded by trees and wild flowers Edith lay stretched out on a blanket feeling the heat upon her face. The only sound was that of the peaceful summers breeze and of birdsong. However her reverie was soon interrupted by glasses clinking and she started to laugh. She opened just one eye and located the source of the clinking.

"You know, it is rather bad form to laugh at gentleman whilst he's playing house" he said whilst handing her a glass of champagne.

She sat up taking the offered glass and gave him a long kiss on his cheek.

"You had better watch yourself young lady, a gentleman could get used to this level of attention" he said with a grin.

"Oh good, I would hate to think that I was not contributing enough" she replied.

Sitting on his knees he tilted his head to the right and gave her a sly grin. "On the contrary my dear, I fear your contribution is, for want of a better word. Lacking. And needs addressing presently". He drained the remainder of his glass and placed it down.

She held his stare and narrowed her eyes slightly. Readjusting her position slightly, making sure she had his complete attention and then casually running her tongue against her low lip. She brought her glass to her mouth and smirked. His gaze had faltered as he was now staring directly at her mouth. Smirking inwardly she drank the remainder of her glass. Leaning forward so that her body almost pressed into his, she placed her glass on the ground next to his.

After she returned back to her position on the blanket she turned her head slightly and said as innocently as possible "And what pray tell do you suggest to alter the current situation", The poor man obviously effected deeply by her words could not cope with this sort of talk a moment longer. He saw his moment and pounced forward pinning her to the ground. She let out a loud gasp which was cut short by his mouth, when his met hers. They duelled for control, both fighting to have a certain level of dominance against the other. They were both totally and utterly lost in each, hands roamed, mouths explored. During the battle there were many casualties, his shirt being one of them, for that was forcefully removed and thrown into the meadow. But what suffered the greatest loss of all was her corset, for after patiently removing her dress, he could no longer wait to feel her skin next to his and ripped in off in one clean action.

With his mouth on her neck, and his hands roaming her body, she trailed her hands down his back around to his front and reached for his belt. She broke his kiss to look down and reach for the buckle.

She heard muffled noises from people in the gallery and detected very faint smell fresh tea which ultimately roused her from her deep sleep. She was having such a delicious dream, and could not bear to be parted from it just yet. But try as she might she could not recall where she or rather they left off. How frustrating.

With an extremely deep sigh, she lifted her arms above her head and arched her back and stretched out every inch of her body. After a few moments, she half sat up and leaning on her elbows and forced her eyes to focus. It was still pitch black in her room, 'it must be early' she thought and she sat up further and rubbed her eyes. There was absolutely no light bleeding around the closed curtains at all, and there was a harsh chill around her. She groaned inaudibly "That's because it is bloody early" she groaned. She slammed her body back down on the mattress and waited for her eyes to adjust to the room, then turned her head to the left, something light caught her eyes.

She brought her blanket up to her face and grinned. For she was looking upon the most beautiful dress she had ever seen, but not only that, it was a wedding dress. And not just anyone's wedding dress but hers. Today, finally today her life would begin and she could hardly wait.

She had just decided to close her eyes and try her best to get a few more hours in before the day, no her day. No their day began. When she heard a small thud. It was such a small and almost insignificant sound that she dismissed it. But then it happened again. Sitting up and realising the sound was coming from her window. She crept out of bed, slipped on her slippers and reached for her robe. Gingerly she pulled back a curtain and looked out the window. Not entirely sure what she was going to see, but curiosity go the better of her.

Immediately she saw nothing. But then she saw something move down below and she saw him. He was here.

Let me know what you think please.
