A/N: This is not The Tales of version of Percy Jackson and the Greek Gods or Percy Jackson and the Greek Heroes, but rather The Tales of version of a book I got of Greek and Roman Mythology I got in Rome Italy. The settings will be after 'The Tales of the Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus' so please read that before getting in this story. Think of this story as something to pass by until The Trials of Apollo books.

Aerope

There are two Aeropes known, even if one isn't as well known as the other.

The first Aerope was a daughter Cepheus who was loved by Ares and died while giving birth to a son. But Ares ensured that the child could continue to suck at his mother's breast.

The second Aerope was more well known as she was the birth mother of Agamemnon and Menelous before Aegisthus was born.

Remember Aegisthus? The son/grandson foretold by the oracle to Thysestes to avenge his brothers death for his biological father?

Yep, and now it's Aerope's turn.

She was the daughter of Catreus.

Once an oracle had told Catreus that he would die at the hand of one his children, so he gave Aerope and her sister Clymene to the traveler Nauphus, who took them to Argus. There Aerope married Atreus. and gave birth to Agamemnon and Menelaus. She was seduced by her brother-in-law, Thyestes, causing the feud between the two brothers. Atreus kept his throne, however, and punished by throwing Aerope into the sea.

Although Sophacles says that Catreus gave Aerope to Nauplius with orders to drown her because she had had an affair with a slave. Another tradition holds that Aerope married Pleisthenes, king of Argos. It has also been suggested that Atreus was either son or the father of Pleisthenes, and that Aerope married Pleisthenes first and Atreus after his death.

Either way, this Aerope had an indirect roll with Aegisthus story by being mother of his brothers Agamemnon and Menelaus.

Now comes another sort story. Unfortunately, one involving someone being turned into a bird.
