Chapter 37

After having breakfast with Teddy, Noah and I decided to surprise Callie at work. When we got there, Doug, one of the techs greeted us.

"Hey Arizona. Great to see you again."

"Hey Doug, is Callie around?"

"Yeah, she went to the bathroom, she will be back. Here have a seat." He tells me. Pulling a chair up for me to sit. "Carrying that car seat must be really heavy."

"It's not too bad." I tell him, as I placed Noah's carrier on the floor next to me. "So who is this artist?" Callie has told me she's always having new artists come in to record. So seeing someone new in the recording booth kind of interested me. "Her name is Sadie Harris. She came to us last week from Capitol Records. She told us that the reason she came was because she heard that we were one of the best."

"Well she has good taste." I say, smiling.

"Yeah, but I think there's more to her story then she's letting on." He tells me.

"What do you mean?" I ask him, furrowing my brow in confusion.

"What I mean is, I think she has the hots for Callie. They have been flirting all morning it seemed like." What? I just sat there in silence for a minute, my mind wandering off, before I felt a hand on my shoulder, and a pair of lips that I have grown to love on my cheek. Recognizing that touch, I turned my head and there stood Callie. A full blown smile on her face.

"Hey Babe." I greet her.

"Hey. Enjoying the show?"

"Show?"

"Yeah, Sadie's doing one of her new songs." I turned my head back to the booth and sure enough, she was.

"Oh, I must have not been paying attention." I tell her. I couldn't help but shrug off Callie's hand that was still resting on my shoulder. She must have noticed because before I realized, her lips were near my ear.

"You ok?" She whispers into my ear. No!

"Yeah, I'm fine." I lied. My mind went back to what Doug had said when he mentioned her and Miss Booth Bitch were flirting. Needing some air, I stood up, and handed Noah to Callie. "Hey can you take him, I need to step out for a minute. The heat is really getting to me." I don't even know if the heat was really on.

"Yeah, sure. Come here, handsome." Callie says to Noah. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just need some air." I lied again. I made my out of tech booth and out the back door. Leaning against the brick wall, I pulled out the pack of Marlboro Menthol that I had gotten after mine and Callie's big fight. I don't smoke much, just when I'm stressed out mostly, or to calm my nerves. Like right now. Thinking about Callie and that Sadie Harris, just makes my blood boil. I pulled out a cigarette from the pack and lit it up. Inhaling a big breath of the nicotine felt amazing. After a couple puffs, my nerves started to relax. I butted the cigarette, threw on some of my body mist, and made my way back inside.

When I entered the tech booth, I seen that Doug was holding Noah. When he saw me, he pointed to the recording room where the artists sit to record there songs. Turning to look through the window, I instantly saw Sadie's hand move towards Callie's ass, then Callie look up at the artist and smiled. Oh hell no. I grabbed Noah from Doug's grasp, and laid him back in his car seat.

"Are you okay?" He asks, as I snap my son in.

"Fannnn-fucking-tastic." I growl. Picking up the seat, I reached back down to grab the diaper bag, then walked out.

"I can't fucking believe this." I say to myself, as I'm pacing the living of our apartment. "Who the fuck does that bitch think she is." My mind was on fire. Not only that, my heart was aching. I watched how that bitch tried to touch my fiance's ass, and Callie didn't do anything to stop her. Five minutes later, still pacing the living room, I hear the door open.

"Hi Babe." Callie greets me. I didn't look at her. I was pissed. "Where were you today? When I came back to the tech booth, you and Noah were gone."

Taking in a deep breath, I finally looked at her. Nostrils flaring.

"Want to tell me what the hell that was all about?" I ask her, crossing my arms.

"What do you mean?" Callie looked at me all confused.

"Don't play dumb with me Callie."

"I'm not playing dumb. I have no idea what you're talking about." Is she for real

Letting our a frustrating groan, I spoke, "I'm talking about you and miss Goldie Locks there in the recording booth." Her eyes went wide when she realized what I was talking about. "Yeah, that. What the hell was that." By that time, my chest was heaving, heart started to pound, and I felt tears making their way to the surface.

"Is this why you left? Because of Sadie?"

"Just answer the question Callie."

"I honestly don't know what you're getting at." She tells me.

"Fine, you don't want to tell me, then don't." I made my way into our bedroom, and grabbed me a couple outfits. I made my way back out to the living room, small over night bag in hand. Since we kept a lot of Noah's clothes, and his crib at Tim and Teddy's, I didn't feel the need to pack him anything since he had stuff there.

"Where are you going?" She asks me.

"I'm going over to Tim and Teddy's. After seeing what I saw today, I don't want to stay here tonight."

"What did you see?" She asks me.

"Why don't you tell me? I'm sure Doug probably told you." I tell her, lifting the car seat and diaper bag off the floor, I made my way to the door.

"Arizona, don't go." I turned my head to look at her, tears now running down my face.

"I shouldn't have to tell you. You should know exactly what I'm talking about." That was all I said to her, before I walked out the door.

*Looks like the Green Eyed Monster has come back out.*
