Back at the Bowling Alley...
It was about time for the group to start some bowling. The song 'Chariot' by Gavin DeGraw started to play on the radio above, just as Candy and Zack were about to go up first. The other two girls remained sitting behind on the same exact seats that they were at before.
After Candy's turn was up, Sapphire stood up from her seat. She walks over to the bowling ball holder, just as Zack's turn was done. The party girl looks behind herself, seeing Amber walking up to the bowling ball holder, just as Sapphire picks up the dark purple ball that she picked for herself, as Amber went up towards the rack as well. But just as she was about to pick up her ball, Sapphire held out a hand, stopping her.
"Hold on...I know I told you the basics already, but...here's one idea that could help with trying to get Zack to like you." Sapphire whispers to her.
Sapphire looks over to Zack, who was talking to Candy at one of the chairs, before she looks back at Amber, winking at her. Sapphire turns towards the spot Zack was at, whistling for his attention. The party boy looks over to his friend, before walking over to where Sapphire was standing at.
"What's up, Saph? What do you want?" Zack asked her. Sapphire smiled, then pointed at Amber.
"Turns out, Amber doesn't know how to bowl yet." Sapphire asked.
"Yeah, so?"
"So...why don't you teach her?"
"Uh...why don't you do it? I'm talking to Candy about what's going to happen at Club Candy later tonight..."
"Then it'll wait! Amber needs help, you know!" Sapphire pats the party boy on his back, directing him towards Amber. "Now why don't you help her out already?"
"Alright...alright...I'll help her out...jeez..."
Zack walked over to Candy's best friend, as Sapphire went off to start her turn already. "Alright, Amber. I believe it's pretty simple. All you have to do is roll that ball straight towards those pins over there..." Zack points to the bowling pins at the other end of the lane they were near. "...You have to try to get ALL of the pins to knock over. Plain and simple, right?"
"Right." Amber said. "So, I'm guessing it goes like..."
Amber went up towards the beginning of the lane, rolling the ball, hoping that she would be able to get a strike real easily. Sadly, that didn't end up happening. The ball sent itself rolling to the very left, knocking over only two pins. Amber cringed, before Zack decided to speak up about this.
"Okay...it's hard to try to get a straight line towards those bowling pins." Zack said.
"I can tell..." Amber said, rather sheepishly. "Um...how exactly is this an easy game?"
"Nobody said it was." Zack saw Amber's bowling ball roll back onto the rack. He picks it up, handing it over to her, before the two went over to the start of the lane. "Just try to go into a straight line..." He held up one hand, pretending to hold a bowling ball. "...But, my grandpa told me once, don't roll the ball too fast, or too slow. If it's too slow, the ball will hit, none or just miss all together...if too fast, the ball can either miss the pins, or...if unlucky enough, goes into another person's lane, or just into a wall."
"You seem to be good at this game, Zack. I never knew."
"Eh, my grandfather was a worker at a bowling alley before he passed away. I hung out around his place a lot before I met Candy and Sapphire." Crossing his arms, Zack leans on the bowling ball holder. "It's not everyday I talk about him, you know? Damn, I miss him." Amber frowned.
"I'm so sorry." Zack smiled.
"Eh, don't be, Amb. He died back in 2011, so...I'm pretty much passed it." Zack scoffs, nearly chuckling in the process. "...It's just weird mentioning this now to you of all people, and not Candy and Saph, you know? I mean, I never those two about the place he works at. It's still around, but it's abandoned."
"Really? Guess we got to see one of these days, huh?"
"Yeah. It would totally bring back good memories for me. That's for sure."
Amber ran towards the start of the lane, sending the ball rolling straight towards the bowling pins, knocking the rest of them down. Zack stood up, giving the girl a thumbs up, as she was walking towards him.
"Not bad that time, Amb." Zack said, before holding up a hand, wanting a high-five from her. Amber smiled, before high-fiving Zack back.
"Thanks." Amber said.
"Me, Sapphire, and Candy are willing to help you out, always. You're a member of our little clique here after all."
Zack pats the girl on the shoulder, before he picks up the nearby red bowling ball. Amber steps back, walking towards Sapphire as the two were heading over to the chairs. Candy went over to where they were at before, ready for her turn now.
"So...tell me, how'd that conversation go?" Sapphire asked her.
"It went...pretty well. We're not...dating yet...but..." Amber said. "...We only talked about bowling, and...that's really it."
"Well, alright. That's reassuring to hear." Amber smiled, before looking at Zack who was still by the lane they are sharing. "Hey, it seems like you two are causally starting off as friends still, but don't worry, later down the road, it might become a lot more. Hopefully." Sapphire gives the girl a thumbs up. "I'll still be by your side until you and Zack are together." Amber nods, just as Candy whistles for her girlfriend. "Okay. It seems like Candy needs me. We'll talk later, alright?"
"Alright." Sapphire runs off to her and Candy's lane, as Amber continued to wait for Zack.
Meanwhile...
Back at the SPA Agency...
Katie was still sitting silently to herself, waiting for Agent Walker to get done talking to Annie in his office. Eleanor called Vance into the office just so he could hear what's going to end up happening for the two tomboys right now. The dentist felt like the only thing that she and Annie are going to be punish with is going straight to jail.
The sound of the office door opening was heard. Katie turns her head, seeing the punk girl walking out of Agent Walker's office, heading towards the chair she was sitting at. Katie stood up from her chair, looking at Annie with worry.
"Dude, how'd it go?" Katie asked. "What did Agent Walker tell you?" The girl kept her arms crossed, as she looks down to the floor.
"I told him everything that had happened..." Annie said. "...As far as I'm concern, Agent Walker is concerning you to be left off the hook, considering you are only a passenger, and not the one who was driving." Katie felt a little relieved hearing that being said.
"Well...that's good...is there anything bad I need to know about?"
"...I'm getting to it. Remember when I said that you're not the one who was driving my car? Well, here's the thing, since...obviously, I was the one who was driving, Agent Walker is not only taking my car away, he's keeping me in the agency building until Pablo's parents hear about this." Annie sits down in the chair that Katie was sitting on moments ago. "...So, yeah...by the looks of it, I'm most likely going to court for what happened..."
"Damn, Annie, I'm so sorry..." Katie sits down next to her. "...So...now what?"
"Now what?! NOW WHAT?! What else?! I'm fucked!" Annie threw her arms in the air, before leaning onto her knees.
Roxie at this time, walked out of the room she was in, wondering what was going on. She was unaware of what had happened to Pablo at the moment when she came out. She just stood by the door, overhearing the conversation the two girls were having.
"Well, Pablo has to know that it was only an accident, right? Maybe when he wakes up, he will tell his side of things, and...maybe things will good between you and these other agents." Katie said, as Roxie was standing there, confused why they were bringing up Pablo in their conversation.
"Good idea...Pablo will try to make things better..." Annie said. "Pablo can't say anything, because he's in the hospital, either stuck passed out, or dead...even then, Pablo's parents will pretty much be having me in court the moment he wakes up, possibly behind bars already!" Katie held up a hand.
"Annie, calm down. I'm sure that we can be able to get through this...right?" Annie didn't say anything to Katie after she asked that. Katie just shook her head. "God, this year is so messed up..."
Roxie stood by the door, nearly lost for words at what she just heard. Pablo was in the hospital? Because of that Annie girl that Katie's friends with? She just couldn't believe that she even hearing this right now, after she told Pablo to go and apologize to Ginny for the double date even.
Silently, Roxie passed the two girls, heading over to the exit of the building. She was just about to head out the door, before she heard the sound of Ian and Amelia by the coffee counter. Ian notices Roxie by the front door, seeing that she was about to leave.
"Roxie? You're leaving?" Ian asked. Roxie slowly turned towards where the couple was standing at. She rubs the back of her neck.
"Um...I think I need to go see somebody right now." Roxie said, very worried for Pablo's safety. "It's just really important that I leave right now...alright?"
"Alright. But..." Without another word, Roxie ran out of the building, heading out of the building. The two geniuses didn't stop her as she left, since they didn't expect her to just leave without a word like this. "...Well, nevermind then..." The couple just shrugged this off, before walking away from the coffee table.
