Prologue

On another world, a third continent, farther away than Pyrrhia and Pantala. Could we not expect there to be another continent, another world out there, across the oceans? Here in this tale, we shall come across the far away continent, Pnauma, where scavengers, or known there as humans, and dragons live in coexistence, in peace, sharing knowledge, and much more. This world has prospered from this coexistence, much more than the other continents. However, time takes its toll, and no matter how advanced a civilization may be, darkness will always find a way to seep in…

And so, every thousand years, a portal, a gateway, opens between the three continents, discovered by the ancient dragons of old. Within the Nightwings lost land, crumbling, is where the Pyrrhian Portal is located, the Nightwings ancestors discovering this lost technology but kept it a secret. The other lies within the jungle of Pantala, awaiting. However, it is broken by time, no longer of use, and in ruins. The Pnauma Portal, hidden away, under the mountains for now. These portals, once open, stay open for several days, before closing for yet another thousand years.

Now, a young dragonet of black scales like the night, and wings of the stars, approaches the Pyrrhian Portal, in awe, watching the swirl of the silvery-blue light upon the portal. She raises a talon, but hesitates, and then touches the portal, and the surface of the portal ripples from her touch. She then walks through the portal, into a different place…

A Different World…

A Different Continent...

AN: Sorry if this is bad, I'm still fairly young and new to the whole writing thing, and I haven't done Prologue's much, constructive criticism is very much appreciated to help improve my works. I will also NOT be accepting ideas for future chapters of this story since I have planned out the next 3 chapters and I am working on planning out the others. However, I would like advice on how to improve my execution of my future writings, like how to make first person seem more realistic and what not.
