Before: I hop out and run up to the house.

(First POV: Zadhiya)

I look under the welcome mat for the keys to no avail, then Dad calls my name. I turn and look at him as he chucks a key-ring at me.

I catch it and enter the house, gasping at how huge the living room is. *"Awesome..."*

I run into the kitchen then into the den, after that I run up the stairs and take a look at the rooms. The two normal rooms were across from each other at the start of the hall, and about halfway down was the first master bedroom. At the end of the hallway was the second master bedroom, the one with the balcony.

As I enter the room, I hear Mom and Dad open the front door downstairs. The room was completely empty. I walk across the room and open the balcony doors.

*"Oh my gosh... This is incredible..."* The view stretches across hills and towards the mountains in the distance. With the setting sun just beginning to touch the tips of the faraway peaks, the view is breath-taking.

Mom and Dad come into the room and walk up to me. *"Wow. This view is amazing."* They say, almost in sync.

I chuckle, stepping back into the room after a moment. I look closer, paying more attention to the smell of the room, the color of the walls, the shape of the room, and where certain things would go if this were my room. Then I notice that it's the larger of the two master bedrooms, and I shove away the thoughts of it being mine.

As if he knows what I'm thinking, Dad steps forward and pretends like he's talking exclusively to Mom. *"Oh, boy, we might have to make this our room now. Weren't we originally planning to let Za have it?"*

I nearly leap into the air in excitement as Mom responds with a smile. *"I think so. It's so, so big."* I can tell that she sees me trembling with hope, as she then continues, smiling wider. *"But Zadhiya is still a growing boy. I think he needs the space."*

Dad grins and closes his eyes, nodding thoughtfully. *"Yeah, you're right."* Then he turns to me. *"What do you think, Za?"*

I can't say anything, I can only stand there trembling with excitement and hope. I am only able to open and close my mouth really fast.

Dad is unable to hold in his laughter and bursts out in laughter. Mom quickly joins in.

When Dad finally gains his breath back, he grins. *"Don't worry, Za, we already said it's for you."*

I scream in excitement and jump onto Dad with a hug. He hugs me back and Mom joins in, too. The hug lasts a bit before Mom pulls away and Dad puts me down.

*"Alright, well we have to get everything inside before it gets dark. Za, could you go to the basement and bring what you can carry up the stairs? All the furniture I ordered was placed down there."* Dad says, heading to the door.

*"Okay, Dad!"* I say with a huge smile, running past him and down the stairs. I go into the den and look for the basement door, finding it in the left corner. I go down and see two sections of boxes. One pile has a bunch of boxes marked "Mr. and Mrs. Izamanii." The other pile has "Zadhiya." I go to Mom and Dad's pile first and pick up three boxes that are the size of my chest. They're of moderate weight and that tells me that they're likely desk pieces.

I go back up the stairs to Mom and Dad's room and place the boxes in the far right corner. Then I go back down and get more boxes. I do this over and over until all the boxes are upstairs and in their respective rooms. I do struggle with the larger boxes, though. By this time, Mom and Dad are about halfway done with getting the other boxes in from the car. When I finish, I go out to help them.

*"Are you done already, Za?"* Mom asks me in disbelief.

Nodding, I grab a few boxes from the trunk and run them into the house, leaving Mom standing in shock.

When I come back out, Dad and Mom are loading each other's arms with boxes. I run up to them and take over.

*"Thanks, Za."* Mom says, still a little stunned about me finishing so quickly. I guess Mom told Dad that I finished already, because he looks surprised.

After I load their arms with boxes, I grab some boxes for my own load and hurry into the house. I want to get unpacked as soon as possible. Luckily, this is the last of the boxes. I sit them down in the living room and run up the stairs, shouting down, *"I'm going to unpack in my room!"*.

*"Okay!"* is the response I hear as I run down the hallway and into my room. I open the balcony doors again and lodge them in place with boxes. The light from the evening sun floods my room in greater quantity and the fading warmth from the light covers me. I pick up my phone and start to play some music on full blast.

I go to the largest box first, and use some box cutters that happened to be up here already to open it. Inside was some sort of nest thing, cushioned with a lot of bubble wrap. I pull it out and gasp when I realize that its one of those hanging nest chairs. I've been wanting one of these for a while. I grin and yell, *"Thanks, Dad!"*. I can barely hear a laugh from downstairs a second after.

It takes me around fifteen minutes to connect the hook and ropes and, once I decide where I want it, it takes me ten more to hang it up. The other boxes are desk parts, bookshelves, and the bed frame. Once I have them all put together, it's dark, and I'm starving. I get up and stretch then head downstairs after pausing my music to find supper already made and on the new kitchen table.

*"Awesome, food's already ready!"* I exclaim in eagerness. I sit down as Mom and Dad come in with wet hair. Dad has a towel on his shoulders. They just took a shower, apparently.

*"Dig in. I made pork cutlet bowls as a treat to celebrate us moving into our new home."* Mom says, smiling as she grabs a bowl.

*"Thank you for this food!"* We say and start eating.

As we eat, Dad makes a bunch of dad jokes that make me and mom laugh. I start to choke on my food at one point, after Dad tells a joke about extinct animals.

After I'm done eating, I sigh and get up. *"Alright, I'm going to go upstairs and finish putting my bed together, then I'm going to sleep."*

*"Okay. Make sure you latch your balcony doors, it's going to get windy tonight."* Dad says, finishing up his bowl.

*"Make sure you turn the heat up on the way, too. It's getting cold in here."* Mom adds, still only halfway done with her bowl.

*"Got it. Goodnight, love you both."* I say, and run upstairs, turning the heat up on my way. I enter my room and start looking for the mattress, then I find it leaning against the wall behind the door.

After a few minutes of struggling with it, I finally manage to get the stupid thing on the bed frame.

*"Ugh, mattresses are so freaking stupid."* I huff, a little out of breath. I grab my blanket and close the balcony doors, lazily latching them. After I turn off the light, I hop into bed and snuggle up, listening to the crickets chirp outside as I drift off to sleep.
