Chapter 37

The meeting of the gods.

It's been a while since Death came to these things. He never did go out of embarrassment his previous Shadow Kings had caused. Messes, he was trying to clean up as soon as he could, but they continued to grow and become rather unbearable at times. But now, he was proud to make an appearance. The moment he walked through the doors, the room froze at the sight of him.

Whispers began as Death politely introduced himself to Gaia, the hostess of the party and founder of the feast. "Great Gaia of the land and bounty, my humblest greetings to you." He said and bowed.

She returned the bow as well. She was a lavishing woman with a sparkling black dress. Her hair long and green with flowers coming from it, she carried a staff forged from the oldest tree under her care. She was a beauty to say the least.

Next to offer his greetings was Pig God, he was always so gracious before Gaia, or to anyone providing the food. "I am surprised this is occurring a little earlier than usual…" Pig God said offhandedly.

"It was requested…" she replied gently, yet her eyes drifted over to the massive crystal orb that showed the demi gods. It was to keep an eye on everyone and to ensure all were taken care of. She paused when she saw a new face, and a rather large looking demi god. "Oh? Who does this one belong to?" she asked aloud.

The gods paused from their conversations and all came to look at the young, new face. "I haven't seen him before…"

"Pig God, is this one yours?" Gaia asked.

"I do believe I made my position clear on the matter of making a demi god. I will not share my power with another," he said sternly. "However, this one does not belong to me, but he is a good friend of mine."

"Oh, right that hero. Metal Bat, correct?" asked Gaia.

"Oh, so he made it too…"

Death was slightly startled as he saw Saitama come out of nowhere! "When did you arrive?"

"He was the first one here," muttered Gaia. "The god of chaos tends to come early for the food."

"It's been great so far, best hot pot in all the world!"

Death rolled his eyes, but he continued to watch on as Bad was starting to make his presence known among the demis. He didn't go with their way of thinking, when dinner was announced he was eager to get to it. Gaia sneered as the one demi god tried to convince Bad not to go just because the food was ready. "I must have a word with the other demi gods about this, they have wasted so much food for they don't believe they have to listen to those tending to their needs" she said through gritted teeth.

But her look lightened the moment she saw Bad enter the dining hall. He was quick to eat and clear his table without hesitation. She was stunned as he asked kindly for seconds! "What is with this one?" she asked.

"Strange one to say the least… wait, what is he doing now?" questioned the god of fire.

He used his power, clearing the other tables and consuming the contents!

The room paused as they all turned to Pig God once more.

Death however shed a tear. "I had no idea he was this starved…" he whispered.

Regaining his composure as Pig God once more refuted the claim that Bad was his demi. "If that were me, he wouldn't have asked, nor would his food have turned to mist," he protested. "No demi of mine would do that, and I wouldn't dare create one to have such an appetite that cannot be quelled within the mortal realm!"

"Then what the hell is he!?"

"A friend," said Saitama.

The room fell silent to him as he continued to watch on himself. "And my friend doesn't like being compared, so how about everyone shut up and enjoy the food?"

No one said a word after that. Not even Death!

They watched on for the next two weeks.

Not much happens among the demis, but everyone kept talking about Bad. He continued to consume more than all others, and his appetite had increased recently. Yet there was an incident that stuck out.

The demi named Brutus was annoyed by one of the fairies. He suddenly turned and swatted her hard! The room cringed as Gaia, was furious! However, her anger was quelled when Bad caught the little one and shouted at Brutus. "WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM!" he demanded.

"I thought it was a bug,"

"My ass you thought it was, asshole!"

Death was stunned to see Bad stand up for a small creature like a fairy, but the other demis didn't care. They began walking away when Bad whispered and comforted her, she nodded and flew off.

What he did next, made Death so proud of him, but at the same time, he worried, it wouldn't be long before the other demi gods began to haze him…

"What the fuck is with them?" Bad said through gritted teeth.

He watched as Brutus smacked a fairy in midair for the pure hell of it, she went flying and would have struck the wall if Bad didn't catch her in time, but luckily, he did. His reflexes were that good to say the least. After he yelled at Brutus for his actions and yet saw no hint of sympathy, Bad wanted to clock him. "If I weren't…" he muttered with bitterness.

"It's okay…" the little fairy said weakly. "They do this all the time to us… we can't fight back, we're not strong enough,"

"Bullshit," Bad growled. But sighed aloud. "Are you okay to fly?" he asked gently. She nodded. "Can I ask a favor of you? Would you get your friends for me, and the kitchen staff, meet me in the dining hall? Oh, and bring little saucers." He said.

She appeared confused but nodded.

As she flew off, Bad went to the dining hall. There, he paused and saw that his chambers were made a mess of.

"What is with the demi gods?! This one hasn't done anything more than be kind to us, why are they doing this to his resting place!"

Bad froze as he found the front of his tent covered in tacky garbage of all things. Perhaps they were bitter about this morning. Bad wondered into the mixing room where breakfast was served. It was like a buffet where one could help themselves, yet the others were not interested in the food.

The spread was amazing, the eggs themselves were literally golden yokes. The bacon crisp and varied in varieties, soft fluffy pancakes and waffles were to die for! Yet before he could partake, one of the female demis shouted.

"Have some self respect!"

"Huh?"

"Name is Deira! Have some self respect you pig, this is peasant food!"

"Didn't ask for your opinion Deira!" Bad snapped back. "So none of you are going to eat this?"

They all turned their noses up at it, refusing to give it a try. Bad turned and saw the ogre before who announced the first day when dinner was ready. "Hey, do you mind if I…"

His hand went up gently. "You are more than welcomed to the contents, you can take it all if you wish and more can be made upon request."

It was the green light he needed. The breakfast alone was filling, but then the other demis got pissed that he ate it all.

No matter what, he couldn't win, but at this point, he didn't give a damn either.

Bad snapped out of his recall when he came into the dining hall a little more. One of the fairies spotted him. "Oh… We are so sorry!" she said, her companions took notice of him and bowed graciously. "We… we will clean this, we promise!"

He merely smiled. "It's okay, come here for a moment and take a break!"

They paused as he reached into his item box, he took out a bottle of the nectar just as the rest of the staff entered with small saucer cups. Bad held up the bottle. "Who want some!" he called.

"Wait, isn't that…" the chef ogre asked.

"Yeah it is! You want some? Come on, you want some!" Bad said and popped the top. He was quick to fill their cups, a small saucer was filled for the fairies to help themselves to.

But they were all reluctant to drink.

"This… is a precious commodity…" the chef stated. "Are you sure?"

Bad nodded, "You guys put up with a lot of shit. I would have beaten the hell out of half of them by now. Yet in my state. I can't even do that! This is the least I can do for you, so please, help yourselves!"

They smiled and took their drinks.

Bad nodded with approval as he put the bottle back into his storage. "Thanks for all you guys do, seriously. I had trouble getting enough to eat before, but… that's not an issue anymore. Truly, thank you" he said wholeheartedly. "And when I am not in this state… next time. I'll be more than willing to beat the hell out of those assholes for you!"

"You don't need to do that!" the fairies said. "But this is very kind of you,"

Bad brushed it off. "No worries. You guys enjoy, I better get back to the so called party." He said.

He was walking out of the room, failing to noticed the dining hall door was ajared. "Oh! Demi, wait!" his fairy guide called. Yet as the door opened, Bad cringed as he felt something cold and thick cover him from head to toe!

Tasting it, it was maple syrup from the morning meal! "WHAT THE FUCK!" He roared.

The demis came out of hiding, laughing their asses off at him. "Now he can sleep in his quarters, he's nothing more than a filthy little piggy!" Brutus laughed.

Bad was fuming! Yet before he could say anything back, he saw something bubbling down by his feet.

His guide was drowning!

"Oh shit! Hold on!" he eased himself on to the ground, no easy feat in his condition and was able to reach the little fairy. He had to use his mist eating ability to get the syrup off of her. She gasped for air the moment she was free from the sticky trap, a little cough came out of her but she was okay.

"Thank you," she whispered.

"HAHA, HE REALLY IS A PIG! HE EATS OFF THE FLOOR!"

"YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HER ASSHOLE!" Bad shouted back.

"What are you going to do about it little man?!" Brutus stood before him, staring down at Bad who couldn't get up under his own power.

'Let me at him, I swear to God! Let me at him!' came Garou as Bad's stomach became agitated.

'You ain't going no where, neither am I. I ain't risking the kids getting hurt from this asshole!' Bad thought back.

It burned him, he wanted to beat the unholy hell out of this guy! But at the moment, he couldn't even get off the floor.

Brutus smirked. "See, you're all talk! Pig boy is going to wallow in his own filth for a while, let's go!" he called to the other demis.

Bad waited for them to go, his fairy guide got him up off the ground. "Are you okay?" he asked of her.

She nodded but there was a look of rage in her eyes. "This will not stand! This isn't safe for you to sleep here either! I'll be back!" she vanished in a little ball of light…
